Midsize SUV that really zips!
October 30, 2018
Recently bought a 2016 BMW X5 xDrive35i preowned. Granted, it's still a bit too early to tell on reliability, but from what I've read on the N55 engine, it's commonly used in the BMW lineup and dependable.
Coming from a 2012 Honda CR-V, I love the X5! It's fun to drive, handles with minimum body roll for a non-sedan, and has plenty of power given its 300 hp and 300 lb of torque.
BMW's infotainment system, iDrive, is incredibly intuitive to use.
In regards to value, it honestly is much more overpriced than it's other luxury competitors, I suppose that's the BMW approach. If I was purchasing new, there would be no way I'd buy a BMW. Buying used was much more palatable, knowing the initial owner had taken on much more of the depreciation of the vehicle.
Overall, I've thoroughly enjoyed driving this around!
