2026 BMW X5 PHEV review
I traded in my 2023 X5 45e and a 2026 X5 50e. I loved the 2023 and thought I would keep it longer but my local dealer had a 2026 loaner X5 that they were selling at a big discount. It has the more improved Driver Professional Pro package, a $2500 option which includes a self driving option on the interstates. The 50e had many issues in its first model year that BMW has fixed for the 2026 model the last year before the major redesign in 2027. The battery is warranty is now 100000 miles rather than the 80000 on the 45e. The Driver Professional Pro usually is only on the M model upgrades which didn’t want so this fix the bill for a timely replacement before the major redesign in 2027.

2021 BMW 530e review
This is an excellent car. I was surprised by the acceleration of the electric motor when driving in the electric mode. The transition between the electric motor and the gasoline engine is seamless. This is a great car and it has exceeded my expectations. I ony have to go to the gas station about once a month. Over 60 percent of my driving is on the electric motor.

I was interested in a Nissan NV 2500. Viewing several of these vehicles on cars.com and other sites. I decided to make the trip to Trust Auto in Maryland from West Virginia. About a 4 1/2 hour trip. I had talked to David on the phone to make sure the Nissan was still available and explained when I could be there to look over the vehicle. We made the trip in good time only running into one delay. Upon meeting David he brought the vehicle up to the front of the dealership and told us to inspect it, which is what we did. I had two top mechanic with me. While we knew the vehicle had been in an accident, the repair work was very well done on found a few bolts missing. One in the valance and the other from the inner fender. This could have been from the accident or just from being a service vehicle. A little over 94,000 miles on it. The detail shop did a great job on their work. Very chean for sure. After running the computer test, we took the Nissan NV for a test drive. It did not disappoint. Extremely happy with everything we saw and felt during the test drive. Steering was solid and tracked well. No pull to either side while driving. Throttle response was perfect as well as the braking system. The comfort of the Nissan NV was Avery pleasant surprise. The ride was almost as good as my Lincoln MKZ, almost.😎 Much like a 2006 GMC dually I had in 2007. Very nice. When returning to the dealership myself and the two mechanics talked things over and decided to go to the next step. After a little negotiation we settled on a fair price and made the purchase. David was very kind to us and I feel like we got a great deal. We finished the paperwork and was ready to leave but we were blocked in by another vehicle. I backed back into the parking spot when one of the ladies that worked there said she would move the vehicle so we could be on our way. She came back within a few minutes moved the vehicle and with a big beautiful smile waved goodbye to us as we left. That truly made my day😇. Trust Auto in my opinion is a great dealership and when I need another vehicle, they will be the first ones I will go to. 2018 BMW X1 review
2020 X1 w/sport seats and convenience package, purchased in 2023. Positive notes: It's a true BMW: sure-footed, agile, and no shortage of power when needed. It feels remarkably glued to the road despite its small size. Handles as well as my former 3 series and is just as fun to drive. Storage space is good. Ergonomics are good once you figure out all the technology. Negatives: Ride is a bit bumpy, even for a sporty car, which is apparently caused by the run-flat tires. If I was buying new, I'd get standard tires and a real spare, which fits in the storage space in the back. Sensatec seats are hot. In retrospect, I'd hold out for leather. Overall, I recommend this car if you're looking for something small, practical, full-featured and sporty.

2024 BMW X4 review
This car is our first BMW. It may sacrifice some space, but that’s not a very big deal for us. This car is perfect for those who don’t need space, but need the capabilities of an SUV. We have the M40i version and it packs a punch. The 382 Hp B58 I6 is very quick in sport mode, and has very nice exhaust sounds. I love that it has rear AC, which is an upgrade from our previous car. This car also has ambient lighting which you can change the color of. The wireless Apple CarPlay is also very convenient. Although, it does not have the latest version of iDrive, it’s still decent and still includes a 12 in screen. If you don’t want to touch the screen and leave fingerprints, the X4 comes with a controller that you can use to control the screen. This car also has a good amount of physical buttons. Front seats have thigh extensions for those with long legs, and both seats automatically adjust. Overall, our family really likes this car and recommends it for buyers who want a unique take on BMW

2025 BMW 228 Gran Coupe review
So far so good with this purchase of a dealer loaner car after the first 1000 miles. Nearly all of it has been highway miles on the return trip to LA from Las Vegas after purchase and a recent round trip LA-Las Vegas. Really smooth highway drive, The engine doesn't sound like it's laboring at all. Excellent fuel mileage so far as well.I haven't done much local driving yet. I hope it remains as comfortable as it has felt so far. (I went from an X2 to a sedan). If you're not used to it, the touch features on the dash might take some getting used to. The truck is smaller than I've been used to. Overall, I'm very pleased.

I don't trust used car salesmen or dealers. I believe their general reputation for hype and dishonesty is well deserved. My experience with South Street Auto was remarkable not only because it contrasted with nearly every other used car dealer I have visited over many years. It was absolutely positive. This is a professional operation. Here are the details in brief. I went there on a Saturday to look at a 2004 Volvo, which was advertised at a price $2000 below book value. The test drive was good, and the car seemed to be exactly as they advertised. They said their mechanic had checked it out thoroughly. But I wanted my Volvo mechanic to inspect it. They were very accommodating. We agreed that I would tentatively buy the car, and they would wait to put through the paperwork until they heard from me by the end of the day on Monday. On Monday my mechanic found three items of concern: a noise in the alternator that sounded as if it were near the breaking point, a leak in the power steering reservoir, and a crack in the seating for one shock absorber. South Street Auto was surprised by the finding, but readily acknowledged that these were meaningful concerns. I proposed a compromise: they would replace the alternator, and I would repair the other two problems at my mechanic. Within an hour the salesman had the owner's approval for this compromise. They replaced the alternator with a new one the next day while I waited there. Bottom line: South Street Auto is a company with honest, decent salespeople who treat you with respect, and who are willing to admit a mistake and to help in correcting it. The car is terrific, and was a great value even with the $450 in repairs, and the experience buying there was first rate. Let me note that I am a real buyer, I am not a relative or friend of anyone at South Street Autos, and they did not ask me to write this review (and don't know I am writing it).
2019 BMW X4 review
A new owner of a 2019 BMW X4 M40i and loving it so far. Very sharp inside and out with a lot of punch. The vehicle handles great and has a lot of space inside. It sounds imposing. I’d say the downside is the rear blind spots and missing space over an X3 (mine has non run flats and the storage space under the rear storage is taken by a donut tire). But once you lower the rear seat headrests and get used to it, the blind spot isn’t troublesome. At the end of the day the X3 is a great SUV (I had one) but the X4 is much sportier, if that’s your thing. I just wish the M40i had more M trademarks, such as M sports steering wheel and M branding on the front seats as my recent 440i M sport edition did. But for sports + some utility, I recommend the X4.
