2017 Chevrolet Volt review
I drive around town most days and love the idea of not using as much gas. I drive older volvo's that I love for many reasons but they are aging and certainly not good on gas. I like the idea of full EV cars but the cost is very high and range for me (I take a lot of 200-300 mile road trips) makes it more complicated along with the expense of charging stations or installing upgraded home chargers. I bought a used Volt with 50k miles and it honestly is a pretty awesome car. I can drive around town almost purely on electric, just plug in at night to a standard outlet. And barring me going on a road trip a tank of gas a month maybe less. (8 gallons to fill up!!!!) I love the heated seats and wheel. The interior layout is great and its a very quiet car. It's quick around town and holds its own on the freeway. Are the seats volvo comfortable? NO, but they aren't bad at all in the leather premier trim. Is the back seat huge not really but if you are less than 6' it should be fine. The bose sound system is GREAT. All the safety features are nice. Back up camera, front and rear sensors, lane keep, adaptive cruise, etc.... It took a week or so to get used to how to drive it in EV and maximize my range. I can now get around 55-60 miles in town. I would say to read the manual for sure, the climate controls are situated to save electricity so there is no A/C on or off button and I had to read up on how it works. I got the hang of it once I took the time to understand what did what. The Chevy Volt forum is a wealth of knowledge as well, and that really made it easy to learn how the car works. Apart from slight learning curve it is an excellent car you can easily run in EV only if it suits your situation. Long trips are no problem I can get 42 mpg on the freeway usually and no down time to charge at stations along the way. This is a great car to bridge the gap between full gas and full electric and given the price to purchase it almost makes sense not to own one. I LOVE IT.

City Volkswagen of ChicagoReviews
City Volkswagen of Chicago review
My experience working with Edgar was great. I had no issues with him at all - 5 stars. Negotiation was simple and easy. The price was great. My only issue was with Evelyn Franchi, finance manager. When we were going over the final numbers, she told me, and I quote her, “by law we’re supposed to show you the best [interest] rate”. I did enough research to know that was a lie. I even ran an AI search to double check Illinois law while in her office, no such law exists; words matter, what you say to a buyer matters. I informed her that I had gotten pre approved at a lower rate and suddenly she was able to drop the rate. Was she violating the law or did she lie when she didn’t initially show me the best rate? Finance managers shouldn’t be able to lie to their clients. An uniformed buyer would’ve taken her word and trusted that she was telling the truth. Don’t lie to the buyers because you don’t want them negotiating the rate. I recommend double checking anything Evelyn says. Overall, 4 start rating as the majority of the process was smooth. I highly recommend working with Edgar if you’re in the market for a Volkswagen.

2012 Chevrolet Volt review
My 2012 Volt was purchased brand new on Groundhogs Day, 2012, and is now 14 years old! Knock on wood, I've not had any issues with it except a tire that doesn't hold air as well as the other 3 tires. And once all of the dashboard lights came on to “Check engine”. Turns out that the computer system in the car needed to be updated, and that was that. I mainly run it on electricity around town and to nearby areas, so the mileage is in the mid-50's. However, it has been driven numerous times from Ohio to Raleigh, NC, to the Outer Banks several times, to Maryland many times, and to the Adirondacks, and often to the Cleveland Airport. So it has been driven decent miles using gasoline as well. My mpg on gasoline is typically 42, but that can vary if driving over mountains vs flat land or city driving vs country roads. It has been a very comfortable car for me. The only downside has been that heated steering wheels were not offered back then. That is the only feature that I wish it had. I've put the backseats down and over the years have transported a kayak, a bicycle, and several other large items. So useful! Heated seats make me so warm that I rarely turn on the actual car heater, which of course, helps save the battery in winter. In the winter, my mileage has been 32 miles on complete battery. But this year, it's gone down to 29 as the battery is aging. However, in the Summer, I easily get 45-50 miles. Your mpg also depends on how you drive the car. I'm not heavy-footed and tend to coast toward a red light rather than gun it then slam on my brakes. What a waste of energy! The battery regenerates while coasting, so I often will coast down hills, too. The Volt has plenty of power if in a situation where you really need a quick blast to get out of a dangerous situation — especially if running on battery. It can be up to 60 in no time! BTW, the Volt's body has held up beautifully! It looks like a new car. It has never been garaged and has sat outside in the elements for the past 14 years. My plan is to run it for many more years until issues begin to arise. But at 55,000, she's still a young pup with lots more vim and vinegar. Fingers crossed! I only wish Chevy had not converted the Volt assembly line to trucks. I think they did the general public a disservice by discontinuing them. I would buy another one if they came back.

My experience was great! I worked with Jose on the purchase of something I intend to keep in my care for the next 8 or 10 years. It wasn't a flawless car, it was 10 years old. It's got its services I'd like to complete before using it as my daily, but the dealership worked with me in a very friendly way, and was very considerate when I was discussing my service obligations with them. My vehicle arrived in ND less than a week after purchase, and I've seen no issues I wasn't already aware of via PPI opportunities. I made an informed purchase, received my goods in speedy time, and I cant wait to roll my new wheels around for a long time.
2015 Chevrolet Spark review
I've only had the car for a week, but gets great gas mileage. If you can believe the mileage on the dash I'm getting 38.8 mpg. It isn't a speed demon but has good pickup for a 4 cyl car. I do notice hesitation when shifting into drive but it I attribute that to lack of power. It does fine getting me where I need to go.

2017 Chevrolet Volt review
I bought a Chevy Volt on March 3 2020. I had read that there was a lot of value to this car. I test drove 3 gently used ones. Keep in mind I am not an expert. I went with one that had been a lease return with 54k miles. I have a short commute, so have it on battery only 98 percent of the time. Got a 240v charger, super quick. One thing, it is a low headroom car, so better for shorter people. Plus side, hi fi Bose stereo system. So far no mech issues. Also filled tank 1x. Been over a year since purchase.

2013 Chevrolet Volt review
I am amazed with this car. I am a factory Master Certified Technician. I use the car for work and around town with a trip once in a while. I get 75-90 mpg most of the time. I just bought some gas after driving it 2 1/2 months. It took 3 gallons only because I run the gas motor for 1 mile to help it warm up then switch to full electric. The hold feature works great. I drive in low range with sport mode and it’s a fun reliable car that is very cheap to operate. What more could you ask for right?

avoid the automatic tranny and get the 5-speed stick! Fun, safe (better than the same year Honda Fit). I have 137K miles on mine with no major issues! I installed a coil-over suspension designed for this car and it handles better than my Mini Cooper. Not fast, but plenty fun with the manual tranny if you keep the revs up. 52mpg on the highway!! Hills are no problem!!!

I want to start up by saying, I am not a "car person". I do know, is a 5'2 female, this car feels like it was made for me. It gets amazing gas mileage, and you can park in a sidewalk square if needed. Yes, it does not have a lot of bells and whistles to it at all, but it does have the Android auto / Apple Auto feature which I love, at the same time as having roll up Windows. It is perfect for in town and highway driving. I drove it all the way to Georgia from Illinois with no problem. And my 6'5 son fits comfortably in the passenger seat as well, as well as plenty of room in the backseat and trunk for groceries or luggage.

We simply take very good care of "PIP" as we call him, and he has and does take very good care of us. The key is keep up with all of the maintance before it is needed! Great car overall, only 41, 767 Miles!

Castle Subaru review
We bought a 2025 Forrester premium hybrid. We love the car but ended up getting in an accident and totaling it out. Contacted Andre at Castle for our second Subaru Forrester ended up having to get a 2026. Our experiences with castle have been so good. I will never deal with another dealership. Andre is an awesome salesman. No pressure and Angelina is great with helping set up. Everything on the car would highly rate castle and their people they treat you like family very very good experiences!!!

I love my spark. I also love small cars in general, good on gas and easy to maneuver! I have 2 sparks at my home now! Love them!

Castle Subaru McHenryReviews
Castle Subaru McHenry review
This was my 11th Subaru purchase, and without question, it was the most memorable buying experience I’ve ever had. From the very beginning, Olivia set the tone. On my first visit, it was absolutely pouring rain, but she never let the weather slow her down. She gladly brought out multiple Outbacks for me to compare, answered every question with patience, and made sure I had everything I needed to make the right decision. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured. Her professionalism, positivity, and genuine care were evident from day one. Nicole made the business side of the process equally impressive. She was transparent, fair, and solutions-oriented throughout the negotiation. Rather than making it feel like a transaction, she made it feel like a partnership. She listened, communicated clearly, and demonstrated the kind of leadership that creates long-term customer loyalty. Nate wrapped everything up with the same level of excellence. He took the time to thoroughly explain every detail, answered all of my questions, and made what is often the least enjoyable part of buying a vehicle surprisingly comfortable. His emotional intelligence and authenticity stood out, and I truly appreciated the way he treated me throughout the process. I’ve purchased eleven Subarus over the years, but this experience was different. The vehicle is outstanding, but what I’ll remember most is the people. Olivia, Nicole, and Nate each played a role in creating an experience built on trust, professionalism, and genuine customer care. Thank you all for reminding me that exceptional customer service still exists. You’ve earned not only this sale but my continued loyalty and enthusiastic recommendation to anyone looking for their next Subaru.
2022 Chevrolet Spark review
Keep in mind this rating is for a small gas fuel efficient economy car, it's way more than expected and for 2 years has not diminished my opinion at all. Good reliable car. Here in New England I have seen models from 2013 and newer still driven all over and even the prior avio models on the road too. BSic maintenance keeps them together. It is a good car!

Little House of Cars review
Max and Sam were very helpful and accommodating. Answered all my questions and provided information. I did a test drive and liked very much but eventually thought the vehicle might be a little bigger than I want or able to fit in my garage. I would definitely recommend Little House Of Cars.
2015 Chevrolet Sonic review
Purchased the 2015 Chevy sonic at a dealer used for almost 15,000 miles that’s a lot for a used vehicle but with the market the way it is now used. Vehicles are a lot more expensive. Good thing I got the extended warranty on the unit because about six months later, the engine started heating up to where the check engine light would come on took it to you a Chevy dealer and not the dealer I bought it from and they found it needed a new radiator thermostat and oil seal gasket still cost me almost $300 but it would’ve cost me over 2300 to repair it my warranty is for 72 months or 80,000 miles which is great since I don’t actually drive it that much gas mileage is really good at it it’s a turbo so it really has a lot of power but one of the thing I noticed is that the car was clear coated And the rear bumper is starting to peel off the clearcoat

FOX VALLEY VOLKSWAGEN CRYSTAL LAKE review
Andrew Doyle at this dealership was amazing to work with. He was soft spoken, detailed yet concise. He was influential in making a deposit for a purchase. I had to pull out later for other reasons. But I give high regards to Andrew’s work.
2022 Chevrolet Spark review
The key to the cvt transmission is to change transmission fluid and filter every 30,000. Great commuter car . Driving 60 mph and under I usually get between 37 and 42 miles per gallon. Driving over 60 mph it will range between 33 and 36 mpg . It is small but it's fun to drive .

Crase Auto Connection review
Absolutely great experience Randy&Toni and their staff did a great job. Toni went above and beyond to help me out. It's a pressure free environment where their more focused on meeting your needs and help you out and providing you with good customer service. Then the dreaded dealer hard close to try and earn your business. This is truly a family dealership and it shows you have earned my business and future business. Thank you so much crase auto!!! ?
2014 Chevrolet Spark review
I was surprised that I really like this car. I thought it was too small. But the back hatch storage was enough for my needs. The seats are much more comfortable than my little Vibe. I like driving right pass the gas stations too. I get great mileage. It is my favorite car to take to busy events, where parking may be an issue. It gets into tight spots easily. This is a commuter care so very good on city streets. When I'm on the highway, I keep looking for another gear. But It does drive the speed limit, so I am satisfied. This is a fun little car. I have had no mechanical issues.

Ultimate Rides review
We became frustrated looking for a good solid used car for our daughter to go off to college with this fall in our area. A cars.com search gave us plenty of options if we wanted to go a little farther outside our area. So I did the research & came up with a list of 7 dealers to shop from. My 1st stop was at Ultimate Rides in Morris, IL. As it turned out it was our last stop as well. We got a great deal on an 08 Pontiac G6 (about 2 grand less than we found closer to home). We were able to drive the car as much as we wanted, our salesman was knowledgeable, friendly & was just a regular guy (no pressure!) We will definitely recommend Ulitmate Rides.

This Is the best car I have ever owned. If it had a 200 mile battery it would be outstanding and it has a back up gas engine when you run out of energy. Bring it back

Chevrolet of Merrillville review
My husband and I drove to Merrillville from Hillsboro Missouri after I found the 2017 - gorgeous blue - C7 Corvette Online. I talked with Carlo - the New Car Sales Manager - and practically bought the car over texting. Carlo was awesome to work with. Answered all my questions in a timely manner and couldn't have been more Professional, accommodating and kind. After we arrived at the dealership, Anna was waiting outside to greet us – we worked with her on the paperwork and she was very professional, accommodating, kind and just a delight to work with. We also worked with Bill with the financing. He also was very professional, accommodating, and kind. We give the dealership six stars out of five. LOLOLOL

2015 Chevrolet Sonic review
It's unfortunate the previous owners of the recent reviews had terrible ownership experiences . I have used this car for nearly four years without a single problem. Fun to drive, very spirited, great gas mileage, and outstanding handling at highway speeds. At 95,000 miles, no squeaks, wind noise, or rattles. its still very solid. Would highly recommend if you find a well cared for one. My only complaint is you would be hard pressed to fit four ave. size people at one time. But on the plus side it can fit in small spaces.
