2008 was a bad year for the Dodge Grand Caravan
by Tony E. from Monticello, IN

We have spent almost $4500 in less than a year on our van. The heating and cooling system went out twice. We had to repair bushings that should not have failed so quick. The interior and the options are excellent. The video entertainment system rocks! Yes, we bought the van used but it only had 72,000 miles on it. It was bought locally and we are the second owners. You know buying a house is the biggest investment a person makes. Buying a car is second. Why do the big 3 automakers get away with fading paint, rusted doors, and vans like ours that breakdown at the drop of a hat!!! I’ll never buy from the big 3 again. The KIA Sorento is my next vehicle. I put 200,000 miles on our old Sorento without going to the shop once. 2008 was the first year for the Dodge Grand Caravan. STAY AWAY!!! Pick another year but not the 2008!! Also, you can’t check the transmission fluid. The dealer has to check it and it costs around $75!!
Great customer service, from start to finish! Found and test drove the vehicle on Monday and picked it up on Saturday. The front drivers side heated seat didn’t work but they ordered the part and fixed it before we picked it up. When I arrived the salesman (Dave) had my vehicle running and warming up!
Didn't think I would be a minivan mom..

Love the room. Never thought I would drive a mini van but now I wonder why I waited so long. So much room and comfort I love it.
Not sure what I was going to do today while turning in my leased vehicle, however I ended up leaving with a new vehicle. Joe Bauman, my salesman did a great job of not pressuring me and making me feel so at ease. Not only Joe but every one in the facility that dealt with me were very professional. I was very happy with my visit today at Dave Arbogast thank you.

I love everything about it. It has enough room for my family and is still a luxury vehicle. I never thought I never thought I would fall in love with a mini van
Jacob Valenti is an awesome salesman. He worked hard to find us the right car. We thought we found it and then found one we liked better. He was cool about making the changes after all his hard work. He stayed past closing to help finalize everything. He's definitely your guy to go to.
Exceptional purchase for the timing and need

I'm very happy with the mileage price ratio. There are clear signs of vehicular trauma however the vehicle seems to have been moderately to well repaired (first 30 days review).
Tyler was name of the man who helped me out. I called him at St. Marys Chrysler and let him know my situation of my car being totaled and gave him a price range that I was looking to spend. Less than 5 minutes after hanging up the phone, he called me back with a list of vehicles I could potentially buy! We narrowed it down to the the vehicle of my liking and I could not be more satisfied, nor impressed, with his professionalism! Thank you for putting me in a good running vehicle on such short notice! Excellent work!
Great reliable, affordable and comfortable minivan

My husband and I bought a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan SE new in April 2016 in Puyallup WA just before our son was born in May. It's been perfect for getting a newborn in his carseat carrier in and out of the car. We've transported a full couch in it with all seats stowed except the seat our baby's carseat was on. In April 2018 we traveled cross country from WA to PA, through mountains going up to Mount Rushmore. Then in September 2018 from PA to FL. During both travels we were fully loaded down in the minivan and towing a Jeep Patriot fully loaded down. We never had any problems with this vehicle. We loved it so much that we just traded it in for the 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT with all the upgrades.

Don't be fooled by the size of the dealership. ABSOLUTELY the friendliest, no pressure vehicle buying experience that you will ever have. I have avoided going in out of fear of high pressure sales. What a mistake ! Just purchased a new 2019 Buick Envision. The entire process exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Thank you Todd Galloway, Branden Hughes, and John Thompson. You are truly pros in your field !
Most reliable car ever. Just turn the key and you

This vehicle is a handicap van with remote control tailgate and ramp. If you are disabled and still love to drive this van is the ticket.
Although the service was good, the sales staff were too busy on their phones ro ask me if I needed any help in the showroom. I wanted to get a trade in price on my Mazda.
Stow n' go seating is the bomb!

Traded my 2008 for this 2017 and the difference is remarkable..the 3.6 motor is a gem, with class leading power and smoothness along with better mileage..hauls everything.. tows my trailer and with the stow and go seats dropped into the floor...other minivans are not even close by lacking this convenience. My nxt is the nicest vehicle I have owned in my 50+ years of driving.
SVG Urbana salesman Jack, has got to be the best salesman I have ever dealt with. I looked for weeks for a good used S-10 with low miles and in good shape and he found me one. He met my price and made sure it was in very very good condition. He's honest, caring, friendly and treated me like I was family. He said he wouldn't put me in something he wouldn't drive. He test drove it with me to make sure I was satisfied with this truck. He is the best. He surely adds a plus to SVG dealership. Thank you Jack so very much,. I just love my (Black Beauty) . I will definitely tell people about your dealership. It was worth my 2 hour drive and I would do it again.
Drove this twice as a rental

As title suggested, I had drove this car twice now for longish distance driving.
In terms of practicality, family did not complaint so that's a positive. My only negative is the boot a bit small compare to our Passat.
As for driving experience, I had and will continue to say it's a bit like driving a tractor. The wheel was relatively heavy comparing to all other cars I had drove. Given that I can confidently drive it at night for 90 miles from San Diego back to Orange County so maybe it does deserve some credit on handling department. The braking is ok but if you drive sensibly then I don't think it will be an issue. If you do blindly follow, aka tailgating, I have no confidence in its reactive time, anyway just don't.
Overall, a good people carrier but don't expect any fun driving experience.
I had been looking for an affordable, yet high end Lexus that was in my budget. Myron helped me find this vehicle and made my car buying experience a fun, relaxing an enjoyable experience! Go see him today for your next vehicle!
This car is the worst vehicle I've ever own.

After the warranty everything is braking, it is two years old, and I've had to put almost 3,000 in it really bad on the road.
My experience at Joseph Airport Toyota was really great and that was because of the staff and sales people. Mr. Arvin Ridley was my sales person, who was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I would gladly consider buying another car from Mr. Ridley at Joseph Airport Toyota.

We bought this van as a replacement for another make and model that gave up the ghost. We haven't had it long, hence the 4 on reliability, but so far it runs well and my wife loves it.
We knew exactly what we wanted going into the dealership. They worked very well with us and all three gentlemen we dealt with couldn't have been nicer to work with.

Good family car for the price , you get what pay compare to other brands of minivans , not bad at all , but they need to update the model , the new 2019 is the same same , and they should add ad optional AWD
Our experience at Select Motors was very positive. Everyone we came in contact with was pleasant and super helpful. All were knowledgeable and very patient with us when deciding on the vehicle. Thank you!
