Ron was a great help. He went the extra mile to help me not have to come back when there were some issues with their finance system (out of their control). It was good experience for my son who went along to see how buying a car works, and a great example of what he should expect.
Barry Richardson was our sales rep and he did an outstanding job of speaking to us about the vehicle we were interested in. Barry was very knowledgeable and friendly to us and our needs. He followed up with us on a few things and kept all paperwork in order while we stepped through the purchase of the vehicle. Too many times used car dealers get a bad rap. Don't be fooled by the size of the dealership. ABSOLUTELY the friendliest, no pressure vehicle buying experience that you will ever have. I have avoided going in out of fear of high pressure sales. Mike cole was a great salesman, not too pushy which is nice. We felt like we got a very good deal on our terrain and did not get screwed over. All the staff was friendly and mike made the experience very personal and took the time to get to know us. We did not feel like it was just another sale to him. If we ever need another vehicle we will look here
Just want to give some credit where credit is due. We had our ford escape to two local ford dealers to repair a hesitation after shifting and starting lower rpm's. it was to the point of feeling like it might stall and the tachometer was jumping.
The first two dealers each had the car for over two weeks each trying to diagnose the problem. One replaced parts not needed $1500. The other finally diagnosed the entire transmission needing replaced at $5200. When I told them to put it back together and we would pick it up my wife picked it up and drove it 500 feet off the lot and the drive shaft broke. They tried to tell me they didn't touch the drive shaft when in fact the checked the rear differential the other dealership changed.
After calling Ford Motor company and getting no satisfaction we decided to get the drive shaft fixed at Wapak Ford so we could sell it as is or continue to drive it with the problem. The drive shaft had a bracket that was not put back on previously by another dealer and could have easily contributed to breaking.
Since they were fixing the drive shaft I asked them to drive it the next morning and see what they felt the hesitation could be. They called me immediately after driving it and told me it was the torque converter and asked how long we had drove it with this condition. Due to the lack of previous diagnosis we had put quite a few miles on it in this condition so naturally we were worried about transmission damage.
I researched their diagnosis online and it showed others with the same issues so it seemed like a good diagnosis. I had them repair it and nothing else as we didn't want to sink any more money in the car the concern couldn't be repaired.
Low and behold after months of dealing with this issue I picked the car up and it runs like a champ! Thank you to Wapak Ford for saving our beloved Ford Escape. You are now our new service headquarters for our Escape! Anyone else having concerns might want to make the short trip to Wapak!
We had a Ford Fusion that we had serviced at Wapak. It was such a pleasant experience that when it was time to buy a new vehicle we went back and leased a new truck. Another great experience. We were very happy with the deal they gave us. Family owned business, great to work with. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
