Salesman Eric Hess was the epitome of customer service. Helpful and professional, Eric really assisted us to find a vehicle that we were looking for. Our first choice had just received an offer in on it so Eric suggested a few more in our price range. He never pushed us to go beyond our budget, but listened to what we were looking for and was respectful of our financial limit.
We never purchased from Hess before, but some friends had and reported a great experience. Additionally, our mechanic said that Hess was one of the few honest used car lots in the Quincy area. That meant a lot to us.
The other attractive thing about Hess is that they do actively maintain their web site and the vehicles on there have great photos and descriptions. That was really helpful as we researched website after website. Some places no longer had a car available or only one or two photos. Hess had multiple shots and angles (read: nothing to hide) and their inventory was very accurate.
Overall, Hess was great to work with and if we are ever in the market again, we won't waste our time with other places. We'll be back and we'd recommend them.

I have only owned my 2016 GMC Terrain Denali v6 for two weeks now but I absolutely love it! It has a comfortable ride and plenty of room for 4 adults. It can hold 5 people, but to get three in the back I'd think they would have to be slimmer adults, or kids, to sit comfortably. The middle console is really deep, up to your elbow deep. I'm tall and with the seat back you have to reach for the door controls. I'm constantly letting down the back window by mistake when I'm trying to let down the driver side window. The remote start and heated seats are wonderful on cold days! There is a slight vibration when turning the wheel from park. I took it to a dealership where they told me this is a known issue with the V6 Terrain (the 4 cylinder doesn't have this issue apparently). Other than that, so far so good! It has back up camera, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, collision warning with brake assist and other safety features. My other vehicle is almost 15 years old so it's taking me a while to get used to all this new technology!
We were shopping for a newer low mileage truck and Hess Auto Sales had exactly what suited our needs. It was very refreshing to transact a purchase without encountering the games and hassles of some local "big box" dealerships. Kirk, Eric and Jeff were very helpful, very fair and a genuine pleasure to do business with. We highly recommend Hess Auto Sales

I originally had a 2015 terrain which was AWD and loved it. After leasing my current 2017 Terrain - which is FWD -I feel the car is tailored for a man. The finger holds on the steering wheel, for example, are sized for a man - my hand just doesn’t grip properly. My next vehicle I would like to find something that rides a little less like a “truck” and the Bluetooth has never worked properly which was used by Gavin as a selling point.
I had an outstanding buying experience. The pricing was fair and the staff easy to work with. I highly recommend Shottenkirk Toyota for your next purchase.
Annoying noise from plastic rear bumper on highway

Wish more attention was given to comfort of cooling and heating rear passenger seating. No rear vents in back at all. This was overlooked during my purchased but became very apparent when I was a back set rider during a hot summer day being transported home from surgery.
So I stopped into Shottenkirk Chevrolet after checking around on different websites and receiving a call from a salesman (which is kind of sneaky you having to give your phone number and contact information to just LOOK at the price of a vehicle) I went to the dealership the following afternoon when I got off of work and was there for about 3 hours which included a test drive. I did NOT purchase the vehicle that night because one, they were not close enough to MY bottom dollar per month and the interest rates were way too high. So, I told them that I wanted the truck, but did NOT need the truck and if they can't get even CLOSE to what I am willing to pay I am leaving. Well, the next day, I went back after work and they did JUST that! They got well within my price range and my interest rate after MULTIPLE calls to several financial institutions. Needless to say I am VERY happy. The only problem I had after my purchase was I needed to immediately fill the tank because it was close to empty. I am hoping that today when I go back, that they can at least give me a voucher as I should NOT have had to fill up right after purchasing the vehicle, it should have had a free tank with my purchase. I found that out after speaking to the GM at Shottenkirk Toyota a few days after my purchase.

This car has met my needs FOR SURE. Great on gas and drives with ease! I love it! Easy to operate and I enjoy the design, It comfortably fits my children and it is very spacious.
We have been Very Impressed with the Super Friendly Atmosphere with the Entire Poage Team. The Friendliness never stopped at the initial sales attempt. :)

This vehicle from the start had issues. At 2,000 miles the auto stop feature failed and I was stuck in the middle of an intersection. I had to turn the vehicle off and restart it to get the engine to re-engage. Which then I got pulled over from a police officer because I hesitated too long at the intersection. The dealership had it for 1.5 weeks as it needed a new battery and cam shaft cylinoids. The local dealership had been great but GM directly is horrible. It now has radio software issues that I have had it in now twice for it and still isn't working properly. I had a 2017 Acadia before this one that was so unsafe GM ended up buying back from me. I will buy from the dealership again but I will never ever purchase anything from General Motors again.
GMC is still not able to fully fix the horn. It is working easier but not 100%. This is not Poage's fault.

I've had midsize SUV's before and I like the larger door size, cargo space, and so forth. So the Terrain seemed to be a logical model to test, and I was impressed with the test drive and bought it. After a year I've been pretty happy with it but a couple of things stand out. The back seat does not fold flat to increase cargo space and this seems to be kind of ridiculous and to spoil the whole idea. And recently I had to have the fuel pump replaced under warranty, because of using E85 fuel, which the service manager told me is not good for the fuel systems despite this being a flex-fuel vehicle. The other thing is that while I was happy with the 4-cylinder engine at first, I now wish I'd opted for the V6 as the car is kind of out of its element in highway driving. Don't get me wrong, it will get you there, but my foot is on the floor a lot more often than I'd prefer. If I trade this one off in the next few years I'll definitely opt for the V6. Overall I am very pleased with it.
The most professional and knowledgeable place to but a car. This is our 4th vehicle we have purchased from Poage and we would not go anywhere else! They make buying a car the easiest process. Someone is always there to greet you. They go above and beyond to make it happen. Excellent place!

We love our new car. Its spacious with lots of upgrades. Very stylish and comfortable to be in. Love it. Never owned a gmc til now. We've been missing out.
I searched all over the internet for a low-mileage used Impala. We drove from Kansas City because Shottenkirk had the best selection of what I was looking for. Our salesman Shannon was honest, respectful and didn't fool around playing games. Gave us their bottom line price right away and saved a bunch of back and forth haggling which I dislike. This dealership truly exemplifies "drive a little, save a lot." It was a very pleasant buying experience.

The past 4 years with this vehicle have been reliable. I've been able to save gas while having the space to move around with family or to other cities, the interface is simple and straight forward, so knowing when a oil change is coming to maintain the vehicle to good performance helped me a lot.
The power steering is electronic so there is no need to check for fluids there, the wheel is always soft and easy to drive.
