They tell you up front that they sell salvage title vehicles from California that they buy and repair themselves. If you are a customer who buys a late model used car with low miles and drives it for 10 or more years, this place is ideal. I got a 2016 Camry with 16,000 miles in near perfect condition for thousands less than I would pay for the same car at a dealership. My only complaint was the finance manager trying to add things to the price which is typical for a car dealership. Once we came to an understanding on that, I got a fair price and drove away happy.
We were in the market to purchase 2 vehicles. One we knew exactly what we were wanting and had actually found Velocity by looking for that vehicle. We searched around for a few weeks but kept going back to the vehicle that Velocity had listed due to the lower price, lower mileage and overall value. We finally pulled the trigger yesterday and went in to test drive the vehicle. Instantly fell in love and ended up finding another vehicle on their Draper lot for our second purchase. Between Ty, Cory (American Fork location) and Efrain (Draper location), they made the process extremely painless, got us the cars we wanted at a great deal and worked with us on our trades. We walked out with the payments we wanted, the vehicles we wanted and literally no hassle or pressure from anyone. Nothing makes me want to run the other way then being hounded by a salesman instantly and feeling pressured. We felt none of that here with Velocity. I have been looking for a Subaru Baja fora while now and I finally did at carmax in salt lake. I was three hours away and couldn't get out there quickly so they held the car for me. FOR A WEEK. They had people come in and was wanting it.But they still held it. I wish they would negotiate on the price. But I got it at a good price. The car was in top shape and the interior is awesome. Got a postcard from GMC saying that my truck needed to be brought in for a recall and that the service *re-programming the ECM* would take anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes. I made the appointment and it took nearly 1 1/2 hours to get my truck done and pressing to get back to work. I could see the service men and customer service weren't motivated nor eager to please their customers from the moment I walked in. I was rather disappointed when I got that treatment.
Fantastic experience buying a new Terrain at SLV GMC. The sales reps, Lucas and Jason, were courteous, knowledgeable, and seemed to really care about us making the right decision on a new car. The managers, Rob and Mike, were friendly and non-aggressive; all other dealerships we visited, unfortunately, did not meet this standard set by SLV GMC. Ultimately, we got a fair value on our trade-in and a great price on a new car. Cannot overstate how great this place is.
