2026 Honda HR-V review
My 2026 HRV Sport came with the Hankook 18 inch tires and rode rough. I upgraded to 17 inch Michelin Primacy A/S. It made a world of difference improving the ride. Its smoother, and quieter with the Michelins. What I like about the HRV: 1. Price. OTD price was 28,600, but that included a trade in with about 1000 equity. Its hard to find a decent car under 30,000 that is not a Kia or Hyundai. 2. Safety tech. The sport model has adaptive cruise, blind spot monitor and lane keep assist, which make the car safer. 3. Easy to drive. You dont have to get a phd in the touch screen and controls, they are intuitive and easily learned, unlike my Toyota, which has a glitchy, awkward infotainment system. 4. Rear seats go all the way down and lay almost flat. This gives more room and its large for the class. 5. Spare tire. Many car companies want you to call AAA everytime you have a flat. Bad idea. The HRV not only has a spare but lots of room with the spare with special compartments for stuff like flashlights, car emergency equipment stored out of the way and the like. 6. Easy entrance and exit the vehicle even tho it does not have power seats. They slide back easily without a problem. 7. Very nice consul with storage underneath the shifter, along with usb plugs. Good place to put phone or other items. 8. Naturally aspirated long lasting non turbo engine. Turbos run hot and burn the oil and your engine. Avoid Turbos. 9. Nice that it has remote start, without buying a super expensive subscription like a Toyota. I like that Honda seems to appreciate its customers, not trying to burn us each month for more money to get the car to work right, like some companies. Are car payments not high enough for car companies so they find a need to force us to pay even more for glitchy, irritating, complicated and often non working subscriptions? Im unaware of any un needed subscriptions or apps to download and enrich hackers, on the HRV which is quite refreshing after owning 2 Toyotas with multiple subsrciption profit (for the compnay) enhancers. Dislikes: I have not yet had a chance to drive it on a longer trip, but other reviewers sometimes complained the front seat was not that comfortable, lacking a lumbar support. I thought the seat was slightly narrow, but thats because Im fat. I dont like removal of Sirius XM radio. Yes, you can, and I did, hook that up to Sirius on my phone, but that is just not the same.

2023 Honda HR-V review
What a great car! I was originally going to get a CR-V but realized I did not really need that much room so I decided to drop down to an HR-V but then get the highest trim level with all the bells and whistles. So now I have all the great comfort and sensors and top infotainment and still paying less than the CR-V. The drive is very smooth and easy to handle. The only "issue" is that it does not accelerate from a stop very quickly but then again I did not buy this to have a race car. And I just need to get used to this being a bigger car than my previous Fit so the gas mileage is not that great. Anyway, If you are looking for the small end of an SUV, this is definitely a car you should focus on.

2022 Honda HR-V review
The HR-V is a great vehicle, however, the option of heated seat is enemic. Have taken back to dealer 3 times for testing and they say there is nothing wrong and meets specs. I changed dealers and got the same resuts. Well my bottom tells another story and have tested both driver and passenger for heat in the dead of winter of winter. There is absolutely no heat from either seat. Tested from current dealer with the same results. Maybe we are jinxs as my wife and other passengers can confirm lack of heat, or, no heat at all.

2026 Honda HR-V review
Previous ownership of Honda vehicles because of their reliability. It' the number reason for this purchase. The HR-V is perfect for my wife and I as it's affordable to operate and maintain, comfortable size wise, simplistic in its design and features. So many vehicles just have too many electronic extras that just are not needed or even used. First time I went in, was just looking to see what was on the lot and was greeted, and after that, not another contact with anyone. When I came back to test drive a few vehicles, got a great sales guy. Overall selection of vehicles is quite nice, and most of the vehicles are almost new to very good condition. Though Carmax likes to display the image they sell cars that have or haven't had any issues, you'll find you'll need to look closer. Most are bought at auction after coming off lease or from being a fleet vehicle. Which is a good thing, as you the regular maintenance was done on them and often the vehicles have original warranties still in effect depending on what vehicle you are looking for and what year. The sales guy was low pressure, and when I came in the next day to buy, I was given another one since he was completing a sale on another customer. Wasn't an issue, as he or the guy that took over were truly "car" guys. The liked cars, had sales experience, but weren't "car" guys. The experience was good overall, but the highlight was completing the deal. Paperwork was done quickly (I had preapproval from my credit union with EFT) and finished the paperwork in about twenty minutes. Amazing, got the vehicle at just an average price, but go the mileage I wanted, with original warranty and extended warranty at the price I was willing to pay. SO overall, win for me, and though I was never a Carmax fan (still rubs me the wrong way their colors are almost best buy colors when their parent company was circuit city....). But I will say my mind was changed.

2024 Honda HR-V review
So slow it’s almost unsafe! Front seats are not comfortable. Blind spot in side mirrors. Everything else is good. Base engine needs 40 more horses. Sport trim should have a turbo engine.

2021 Honda HR-V review
I have had my 2021 HR-V for a little over two years and not had one problem until recently. I was driving and had a SRS warning light come on. Found out it is in the passenger side frame. I purchased an extended warranty so I’m hoping that it is covered.I’m just wondering if this is a problem with other HR-Vs. Could you please check. Thanks

2017 Honda HR-V review
I own a 2017 Honda HRV 1.5 Petrol FW CVT (European model). I’m the first owner and I just reached 220k Kilometers. No issues so far except for a start/stop button replacement and a scheduled suspension replacement (200k). All the services and oil changes were made on time according to the manual. I also started doing the oil/fluid changes (engine & cvt transmission) in less kilometers than the proposed schedule once the car reached 180k kilometers. The European edition 1.5 petrol motor responds well but I believe that a bigger motor would be more suitable for the specific model. I’ve traveled a lot on asphalt, gravel and snow (with a good pair of snow tires) and in temperatures varying between 14 to 113 Fehrenheit.

I have owned my HR-V for about a month. Did have to tint my windows was no big deal. I think it had great power has alot on get up and go. Just the right size for me. Still learning what all the buttons do. Overall I am very pleased. First Honda owned.

2025 Honda HR-V review
Love the car....I have 2 concerns. First, the driver's seat is not comfortable (this is my wife's car) ....the other seats are fine. This is weird. We have the all wheeled drive version. It loves gasoline !!! My Toyota Corolla gets 38-40 mpg with a smaller but peppier engine. This HR-V Gets between 25-28.....not sure why. HOWEVER. This car drives like a dream... VERY SMOOTH. Love the car !!!

2022 Honda HR-V review
Very happy with my HR-V sport model. Exterior design of the car is very nice Interior is a little small with not much room for storing things. Would not recommend this car to avery large person but for a smaller individual it is perfect, Runs well, has more pick up than I thought it would have. Based on only been driving it for 3 weeks I do recommend it.

2021 Honda HR-V review
I chose the HR-V because it was small enough to fit down my driveway but was still an suv. The car is great but it doesn't have the features of my RAV-4. However, the new car, in the Sport model, has the updated features I wanted including navigation/Apple Car Play/Android Auto. The add ons by the dealer were not worth it and were ridiculously expensive.

2024 Honda HR-V review
Love how car handles. The HRV is wonderful on traveling bc I have arthritis and it was a pleasure to drive on long trips. It’s smooth riding and an attractive car. It is easier to get into than the CRV bc I am short (5’2) so I had to climb up into CRV but not HRV.
