Beautiful style. Best looking SUV out there. Back seat leg room a bit snug for such a large vehicle. Electronics buggy. Shuts down completely occasionally. Takes a few minutes with car turned off before it will reboot. Great looking interior. It drives & feels larger than it is.

2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar review
I am biased so factor that in when digesting this. Last year (2019) I was driven home from our local Land Rover dealer in a new Velar (I had dropped off my daughter’s Land Rover LR2 for service). I felt like I was riding in my living room (only with a better sound system) so I decided then and there (and after studying sales literature) that I would work towards buying a new Velar (ordered with everything I wanted on it) in 2021. The pandemic made it possible for me to buy an almost new one (15,200 miles one owner) a year sooner so I did it in impulse. The one I bought may be missing an option or two (I was going to buy the top version Meridian sound system with 1725-Watts amplifier power - got the next one below with 825-Watts) but I am thrilled. It has taken a few weeks of YouTube video watching and trial to learn most of the Velar’s features. Still learning. I liken being in a well-equipped P380 (supercharged V6 with 380 horsepower) R-Dynamic SE to being in a spaceship with wheels. The Velar has these gorgeous super high definition displays down the center front and a driver display with similar visibility and nearly a thousand display options. The cockpit and interior is where I go to feel safe and glorious. The Velar couples this feeling with abilities I have never owned in a vehicle: examples: the above the Velar 360-degree “Bird’s-Eye or Hovering Drone View” of the vehicle and its near surroundings - this view of the Velar’s surroundings appears whenever the Velar senses you may be getting close to something - the Velar makes you aware of anything that gets too close anywhere; my garage floor is higher than the sloping driveway I back down so every time I put the Velar in Reverse both driver and passenger mirror automatically tilt downward as the vehicle starts tilting backwards - works flawlessly! ; the Velar tells you before you begin a trip if any passenger is not properly belted in (my daughter’s friends thought I had eyes in the back of my head or in the back seat ; one of the coolest things I have ever witnessed happened when I returned to home after dark and parked the Velar in my garage - my garage door openers have lights and they were ‘ON’ but no other lights were on. I noticed when I opened my driver door that the Velar was illuminating the garage floor near both my driver door and at the passenger side door with a gorgeous circle of light with the image of a Velar inside the circle!! I am just amazed at the thought and consideration behind designing this feature into the vehicle. You never step out anywhere into total darkness. Wow. I just love this vehicle. Some words of advice: get the P380 - but an e-vehicle if you are worried about fuel economy and/or carbon footprint or number of barrels of oil burned a year - skip the 4-banger P250 as that is a different less glorious vehicle; get the R-Dynamic as it means the vehicle rides on magnetic based suspension like most modern Corvettes and some Cadillacs. You won’t regret the benefit in ride, handling, and off road bad weather driving. Get the 825-Watt Meridian surround system minimum as it rivals the sound of my 14-channel 8000-Watt main home theater. The British remain marvels at sound reproduction in moving vehicles (note: Bose made in USA is OK but is in no league close to a well engineered and specified British design - the Meridian system in my daughter’s LR2 rivals my $20000 home system in pure enjoyment. I bought a seven year transferable bumper to bumper extended Land Rover warranty - do likewise as it is great financial security and adds value to the vehicle when sold. Dreams do come true.

These guys are good guys they will work with you, they actually found two vehicles for me. They even recommended a good repair shop and transport company. I have purchased 3 vehicles from them without issue all of my documents and titles were sent via fed ex. I would be careful when bidding on vehicles, look at them closely make sure they are not another dealer trying to pass them through Elite. I would focus on only insurance company vehicles if you want to restore and repair. They have plenty of used vehicles with some minor scratches and clean titles. If I could give 10 stars I would! I did not go in to buy a high end car (trust me, they have some amazing ones!) but they treated me with the respect that I may have well been buying one. They weren’t pushy at all and unbelievably helpful. Jake, Chase, and Dusty were very helpful and made the experience great. Knox was my hero through it all, my situation needed some time and attention and he was not there the whole way but battled for me and gave me advice throughout. If I ever win the lottery, I would go in just to buy one of their high end cars as a thank you alone, much less the fact that their inventory is incredible!
