2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar review
I am biased so factor that in when digesting this. Last year (2019) I was driven home from our local Land Rover dealer in a new Velar (I had dropped off my daughter’s Land Rover LR2 for service). I felt like I was riding in my living room (only with a better sound system) so I decided then and there (and after studying sales literature) that I would work towards buying a new Velar (ordered with everything I wanted on it) in 2021. The pandemic made it possible for me to buy an almost new one (15,200 miles one owner) a year sooner so I did it in impulse. The one I bought may be missing an option or two (I was going to buy the top version Meridian sound system with 1725-Watts amplifier power - got the next one below with 825-Watts) but I am thrilled. It has taken a few weeks of YouTube video watching and trial to learn most of the Velar’s features. Still learning. I liken being in a well-equipped P380 (supercharged V6 with 380 horsepower) R-Dynamic SE to being in a spaceship with wheels. The Velar has these gorgeous super high definition displays down the center front and a driver display with similar visibility and nearly a thousand display options. The cockpit and interior is where I go to feel safe and glorious. The Velar couples this feeling with abilities I have never owned in a vehicle: examples: the above the Velar 360-degree “Bird’s-Eye or Hovering Drone View” of the vehicle and its near surroundings - this view of the Velar’s surroundings appears whenever the Velar senses you may be getting close to something - the Velar makes you aware of anything that gets too close anywhere; my garage floor is higher than the sloping driveway I back down so every time I put the Velar in Reverse both driver and passenger mirror automatically tilt downward as the vehicle starts tilting backwards - works flawlessly! ; the Velar tells you before you begin a trip if any passenger is not properly belted in (my daughter’s friends thought I had eyes in the back of my head or in the back seat ; one of the coolest things I have ever witnessed happened when I returned to home after dark and parked the Velar in my garage - my garage door openers have lights and they were ‘ON’ but no other lights were on. I noticed when I opened my driver door that the Velar was illuminating the garage floor near both my driver door and at the passenger side door with a gorgeous circle of light with the image of a Velar inside the circle!! I am just amazed at the thought and consideration behind designing this feature into the vehicle. You never step out anywhere into total darkness. Wow. I just love this vehicle. Some words of advice: get the P380 - but an e-vehicle if you are worried about fuel economy and/or carbon footprint or number of barrels of oil burned a year - skip the 4-banger P250 as that is a different less glorious vehicle; get the R-Dynamic as it means the vehicle rides on magnetic based suspension like most modern Corvettes and some Cadillacs. You won’t regret the benefit in ride, handling, and off road bad weather driving. Get the 825-Watt Meridian surround system minimum as it rivals the sound of my 14-channel 8000-Watt main home theater. The British remain marvels at sound reproduction in moving vehicles (note: Bose made in USA is OK but is in no league close to a well engineered and specified British design - the Meridian system in my daughter’s LR2 rivals my $20000 home system in pure enjoyment. I bought a seven year transferable bumper to bumper extended Land Rover warranty - do likewise as it is great financial security and adds value to the vehicle when sold. Dreams do come true.

2019 Land Rover Range Rover Velar review
Most beautiful SUV to date. Also one of the least reliable but manageable and not too much different than a typical European car, especially with an extended/cpo warranty. Do not expect Toyota reliability but this is also 10x more stylish. Material quality, interior and performance is also excellent. Pick your poison-reliable Toyota/Honda or a luxury car that oozes style, performance and luxury.

2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar review
Got the top of the line Velar SVA that was only made in 2020. Compared to other cars line the X3M, X5M, GLE63 AMG etc... there was no comparison. A supercharged V8 will be and feel faster than any of those turbo engines. The throttle response is instantaneous and the torque is crazy. You get a high quality luxorious interior with rediculous performace and air suspension. I drove the car daily and had no issues at all. The car is super reliable and got lots of compliments. The exhaust sound is unreal. It sounds like AMG upshifts but louder with a completely stock exhaust. No annoying fake pops and bangs, just a clean agressive sound. Even now in 2025 the only SUV that comes close is the Cayenne GTS which is selling for 20k more. This is the best bang for your buck if you are looking for a limited release Range Rover that looks like the new Range Rover and has the performance of the last generation SVR (legendary car).

My wife and I were in the market to purchase my son a pre-owned jeep, and we wanted something that was already fixed up so we found TCD. They had a great selection to choose from. Once we arrived at the dealership you could tell that this was going to be different than any other car buying experience we've had. Jack was first to introduce himself. He was not a fast-talking silver tongue devil like a "like i probably was" stereotypical car salesman that you might be used to. He was a quiet young man that spoke at the right time and when it was necessary. He listens to our wants and needs and never asked us to remind him over and over! It was a subtle character quality that he possessed, and I didn't think too much about it while we were there, but it was a refreshing quality Jack was very knowledge about the vehicle as well. The vehicle we were interested in was a new trade in, so it wasn't quite ready, so I tell you this to say the way the dealership as a whole jumped in to help get the vehicle sales floor ready, was awesome! You could tell that this wasn't their first rodeo! Next was Tina the GM this gal was on top of her game. Very sweet and accommodating but you could tell on the other side of that coin was a savvy tough businesswoman that was going to be fair but by no means going to be taken advantage of! She settled my early onset buyer's remorse that i could feel brewing with transparency. Mo finished up our car deal and was also the finance guy! I loved that cause once we came to an agreement, we shook hand and started banging out paperwork! Mo was an awesome dude very knowledgeable with all the different extended warranties packages which i never did until we bought our last used vehicle and needed to use it on the way home from the dealer. We were in and out in no time. Lastly the Owner Austin! how cool is it for the owner of the dealership to make himself available to his customers. He personally helped my wife and I with whatever we needed or questions we had. It was nice not to have to wait for a salesman to run ask the manager a question then run back with and answer! By the time he got back I probably had 3 or 4 more question to send him running back with! lol Austin was personable and kind! Which was a breath of fresh air this day in time. This was also after the dealership had closed on a Sat night! A few things that are small but can make or break a car deal is that they had fresh free hotdogs cooking all day with 5 or 6 different flavors of soda pop obviously coffee with one of those fancy coffee makes with different flavors of coffee and cappuccino, clean bathrooms and something as a parent and someone that used to sale cars they had a nice selection of boys and girls toys! if you've ever tried to purchase a car with a bored toddler forget about it! the salesman can feel the words we're going to have to come back without the kids. that's how the dealership down the street with toys just made your customer their latest car buyer! Shout out to Scot and Bryan as well! They weren't involved in my car deal but did a good job at making us feel welcome and at ease! Sorry about them Aggie's buddy! I would recommend #texascarone to any and every one that's in the market for a vehicle especially a young couple that might be first time buyers. 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar review
Got 2 yr lease on Eiger Gray 2020 Velar p340 R-Dynamic S with full black package, including wheels...very pricey vehicle, with $13K+ in options...but i luuuv it...appearance and drive are stunning...that said, the "sport command" driving position is an issue, cannt get driver's seat high enough, but it goes low enough that you can't see over the dash...lol...also the B-pillar is very thick, as is the passenger seat headrest, so making left turn at T intersection is challenging...but i'm at 2 yrs now, and will probably do the lease end purchase option...also had it valued at JLR dealer yesterday and they would their purchase offer was only 63% of MSRP, with 13,500mi...LOL...and they wanted to sell me a 1-yr old Defender for 100% of MSRP...makes no financial cents (sic)...

2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar review
Beautiful style. Best looking SUV out there. Back seat leg room a bit snug for such a large vehicle. Electronics buggy. Shuts down completely occasionally. Takes a few minutes with car turned off before it will reboot. Great looking interior. It drives & feels larger than it is.

2021 Land Rover Range Rover Velar review
the Velar drives great. comfortable, quiet, easy to use features. I am experiencing an issue with the radio working for 45 minutes then gets garbled and static sounding. dealer and engineers had a problem diagnosing it as they never had this issue before. getting a new amplifier from england. hoping this works.
