I had looked at a few cars online, had an idea of what I could buy, but nothing specific really in mind. I was welcome from the minute I entered the dealership by a friendly and personable receptionist who called for the salesman I had contacted early that day- Benny Munoz. I met his supervisor, and the 3 of us chatted about my needs. After checking out the cars in the lot that fit my needs, I took a ride in the Toyota Corolla I liked. Then drove it myself. I learned about the features of the car, and at no point felt pressured to buy a more expensive or fancier car. The paperwork was seemlessly thanks to Scott Wilson, and in 3 hours I was on the road with my new car ! What could have been a stressful experience was quite the opposite. I both bought and sold a car here recently. My sales associate CARLTON BOWEN was fantastic. SOLD: They gave me a very fair price on a 2003 Honda CRV with roughly 180K miles. The process was quick and painless. You do not have to buy a car from them to sell a car to them. I had done my homework before and knew what it was worth and I was offered a price higher than Kelly Blue Book. BUY: Buying a used car was more complicated. It took test driving many and lots of time on their website before I found one that met the very specific details I was looking for. I decided on CarMax because I did have a very specific car in mind that I had not been able to find private seller in the two plus months I'd been looking. Also, my sales associate CARLTON BOWEN was fantastic.He spent roughly a month helping me look at cars making calls to other dealerships and coordinating multiple test drives etc. I know having him as a salesperson made a huge difference. I had looked at other dealerships and was treated only like a wallet from the moment I entered. He worked hard to help me find what I needed in a car and was pleasant and respectful the entire time. Not at all the experience I had at other dealerships. With all of the hidden fees etc other places have, carmax was not more expensive. I was glad not to give my money to sketchy people at another place.
