1992 Lexus SC 400 review
First saw this car featured in the 1991 July edition of Road&Track while sitting at a dental clinic. I was 18, a freshman in college driving a beat up Corolla needing a root canal. Dentist passing by saw my jaw drop open and told me to keep it that way later when it's my turn. A sleek 250hp V8 coupe that rocked 16" rims, a premium Nakamichi sound system that came with an optional 12in cd changer, does 0-60 in 6.7secs-I told myself I'll own one someday. 15 yrs later I bought my neighbor's '93. Bulletproof 1UZFE motor. Turnkey car that's buttery smooth in stock form but has potential to become a wild animal whenever mated either simply collectors/headers along with hollow cats on a full NA build - I couldn't get enough of the exhaust pulses through the headers it emits, really awesome! I've done almost everything to it (except FI, sadly it's too much $$$), but I've converted it's only factory option 'auto'slushbox into a 5spd manual (sourced an SC300's trans + drive shaft, mated it to an aftermarket bellhousing), tuner parts -- big win lip, 5zigen exhaust tips, mandrel bends, repainted to paint code Lexus 3R7, Bilstein shocks, H&R sport springs, lowered it to a credit card fender gap-because -moar-low-on-stretched-tire-you name it..After all these years (17), it's time to retire it (just purchased an Audi RS3). However, as much fun I know I will be having with the RS3, I'm still keeping the SC -- after all, the SC's got the RS3 by having that one more extra pedal ---the new universal symbol of 'OG car enthusiast approved'.

2015 Lexus RC F review
This is the best car I’ve ever owned. So reliable and very fun to drive. The 2UR-GSE 5.0 liter V-8 mated to the 8-speed transmission is a perfect combination. Ordered mine in December 2014 and it arrived in late January 2015 and was in my garage the next day. After 10 1/2 years of ownership, I still love it. No regrets. I also own a 2018 LC 500 purchased new, great looking car but the RCF is, in my opinion, more fun to drive than the LC 500. Sorry to hear about 2025 being the last year for the RCF. With that news, I don’t plans to sell mine.

Rarely take time to write social media reviews. However experience I had at the dealership this week is worth a review. I was not needing a car, but always keeping an eye out for the right deal. On Tuesday of last week I had called in the morning to ask for a sales rep I had purchased from before. What could have been a honest mistake, I was put into voicemail. Not hearing back all day, I decided to call one more time as I was ready to pull the trigger on a near identical vehicle much closer to my house. This is when I sales person "Nick B" answered the phone. He informed me it was an honest mistake that I was put to voicemail of a former sales rep and that he would be happy to help. Having held management positions, and worked for good people in my career, I have to say, the energy and hustle was top notch. I explained the situation at the competing dealership and Nick cut through all the garbage negotiation and sales tactics that the other dealer tried to use on me (not knowing my background). In a matter of 60 minutes I had 3 phone calls from Nick setting the parameters of the deal. The next morning I was greeted by a text to ask if I was coming in at lunch or dinner. The weather was terrible for a drive to Dayton, and I was so tempted to just spend a little more money and head closer to make my purchase. I could not do it. Nick's hustle deserved a visit to look at the car. I arrived around dinner time and Nick was waiting at the door to greet me. The car was pulled up and we were ready to deal. Nick was efficient in execution as he was in setting up the deal. From getting payoffs, to coordinating the shop to ready the vehicle, to working with finance and matching the trade of the other dealer. I had other sales people that you would sit in the dealer for multiple hours waiting to get through. Some of this compliment also goes to Matt S. in Finance. Copies, signatures, even took the time to get me a refund for my trade in Lexus Warranty that I was not going to use. Customer was first with both of these gentlemen, not at the expense of the Company, but to be seamless and professional. The last part of the evening came when I was signing the paperwork. Matt told me that the detail team was not able to finish my car at the late hour, but would be happy to do so over the weekend if I wanted to come back. As I was saying I just wanted the plastic off the floor and the mats in, Nick came in the office and said he already had it done while transferring my plates. Nick also did not forget another small detail I had emphasized to him at the outset. I travel a lot and have a laptop in my car. It is imperative that I have a privacy shield cover over the cargo area. To end my experience, Nick did not forget that request. Lexus no longer sells them in parts, something I noticed even with the GX back in 2020. So Nick had me drive into the garage out of the rain, helped me move my belongings to the new car, then took me up to the "lost and found". Again, not additional expense to the company, but more time for him. Nick at the late hour was going through every privacy cover with a measuring tape to get me squared away. We ended up not finding one, but how could I be disappointed with that effort. 2015 Lexus RC F review
3 years ownership and 50k miles later. It still looks better than most cars on the road. I can't get enough of the V8 noises. There is definitely a learning curve to this car to understand how Lexus designed this powertrain to work. Once you know it it is so much fun. The bad reviews are from the journalists who didn't spend much time with the car. No reliability issues no expensive maintenance if you are a DIYer. Everything can be done at the fraction of the cost. It is built like a tank. Built to last. Design is aging beautifully. My 2015 still look fresh to the current designs in the market. Nothing but satisfaction on every expect. Excellent daily that you won't have to worry about putting miles. Great truck space, Practical. Very exclusive. Sounds like no other with aftermarket exhaust.
