All work required to make my vehicle repairs and checks complete and correct we’re performed to my total satisfaction while I waited in the comfortable customer waiting area as work was supervised under the outstanding guidance of Service Advisor Oscar Galatia. As a regular customer at the service department I always ask for the consistently courteous and flawless management of my vehicle requests by Oscar Galatia. Under Oscar’s guidance from his earliest work with Autobarn Mazda of Evanston to date, I never have had to return to him with a complaint that the work had been done poorly, with mistakes made, or required work not having been done at all. Yes, good work by mechanics have made that possible, but only under the tight, intelligent, direction and inspection of Galatia. He also has a pleasing and satisfying way of dealing with all of his customers whom I have observed close up when I have regularly waited with other customers to have their vehicles worked on and returned. Because of Oscar and the work results he has managed and produced, I have frequently recommended Autobarn and it’s excellent service work and Service Advisor management to others who need a place recommended for consistently good prices, management, and charges. I suggest that management do whatever it can to retain the services of its multi-talented and perceptive Service Advisor Oscar Galatia. I shopped here for a used Mazda3. The person I scheduled the appointment with was not available when I arrived. I was given a new sales associate. We test drove the car together. We discussed pricing. I was fully expecting them to tack on a bunch of useless add-ons that were non-negotiable. Instead, he added a few optional add-ons and a small fee for reconditioning the car. I thought the fee was reasonable. It was simple to remove the optional add-ons. I was shocked by the experience. It went really well. The manager was really nice. Unfortunately we were still a bit apart on the price so I left to sleep on it. I was pleasantly surprised by their behavior. Maybe there is hope that dealerships can be straightforward and professional. I recommend these guys even though I didn't buy from them in the end.

I went to look at a few of the cars in the Mazda line. I was looking for a ride that was very smooth. I was greeted by MJ Mohammed when I walked in. He was very relaxed, no pressure, willing to pull out any car I was interested in, took his time, was fairly knowledgeable, and took me on longer test drives than other dealers usually do. I didn’t experience any of the games I got at other dealers. I had written offers from other dealers for my trade in and the matched them, and still gave me a fair out the door pricing. The other staff I dealt with were professional and pleasant. I had no intention of buying the car that day, but they made the experience so smooth that I walked out with a new CX-90. I would definitely recommend them. There prices were better than several other Mazda dealers I had talked to early in the week. My only complaint was I wish the dealer had one particular model but they were out of stock. This is not their fault because I waited too long to come in and they sold the models I had looked at online earlier in the week. I highly recommend MJ Mohammed if you want to buy a new car.
