2026 Mazda CX-50 Hybrid review
I have owned two Mazdas in the past so I thought I would look at a third. I wanted a hybrid this time, so knowing that Mazda hasn't really gotten into the hybrid game I was skeptical with the CX50 hybrid. I did alot of online, and magazine article research on this vehicle as well as others. There are a number of options out there, but what sold me on the CX50 is that 1) The other Mazdas I have owned were extremely reliable, 2} The CX50 has the same fourth (I believe it's the fourth) generation Toyota 2.5 liter hybrid engine and e-cvt transmission that was used in the RAV 4 which is highly rated and 3) Mazda just knows how to make a extremely engaging fun to drive vehicle than most. As most vehicles go, this one isn't perfect. I have noticed the road noise is worse than the CX5 I used to have. It's not terrible by any means, just more noticable. I know there are tires out there that are quieter but that's not something I'm willing to do until it's time to replace them. The other thing is I hate the cupholders being in the front, in front of the gear shift. The only other thing (and I've heard people say if you have been a Mazda owner it's annoying to what you're used to, if you've been a Toyota owner it sound normal) and that is the engine drone sound at higher needed speed like entering a highway or passing someone. All of these are things I can live with and I have absolutely have no regrets with this purchase. Bottom line, if you want the interior and exterior quality and engaging driving experience that Mazda gives you and an extremely proven reliable hybrid engine that Toyota gives you...you have the perfect marriage.

Just had the car for a month. It's much like its predecessor, the bz4x but gets better range, at 90% from 230 to 275. It rides smoothly and a bit less noisy than the 4x. I'm very happy with it.

2026 Kia Sportage Plug-In Hybrid review
Nice car! Very comfortable ride. The pick up of the automatic cruise control is a little slow after the accelerator is released. Car slows down 3-5 miles mph waiting for cruise control to initiate. Fuel economy is great for around town at less than 34 miles. We are averaging 103 miles per gallon. But most of our driving is less than 34 miles. Charges in 1 to 2 hours with a 240v charger.

2026 Honda Civic review
I commute 30 miles a day, but it doesn't feel like it in my '26 Civic Sport hybrid sedan. I drive twisty roads, inclines and the freeway, and the car handles 'em all like a champ. It has the comfort, smooth ride and acceleration of my previous 2018 Accord Sport with way better gas mileage (45-50 mpg). I also like the dash/instrument layout and easy-to-use infotainment system. So if you're like me, a cheapskate who also enjoys spirited, comfortable driving, the Civic may be the right car for you! (I personally prefer the sedan over the hatchback, but that's just me.)

First thing he did was show us our options before talking about money. He took us on a test drive and was just all around awesome and informative. I trusted what he was telling us. He was amazing and I will never buy another car from anyone else. We left the lot feeling good about our decision. Rather than line his pockets with commission he got us the best possible deal. He truly cares about the customer and what works for them and not himself. I would definitely recommend Brian Olson at route 44 Toyota to anyone that's looking to get into a new/used car. Absolutely amazing. Definitely didn't disappoint.
2026 Toyota Camry review
This is the car to have for its segment. It’s beautifully designed. It’s reliable. It’s great on gas. I’m getting 43 mpg. It’s actually fast too with its torquey electric motors assisting its bullet proof 2.5 liter four cylinder. Comfortable leather interior is gorgeous.

2026 Hyundai SANTA FE review
Appearance; The over all look of the car is very pleasing to the eye. The dark green with the black-out package is the best. Calligraphy model has the most to offer in high end amenities. The interior is well appointed with leather and the law-out of the dashboard and controls are very functional. The performance is actually surprisingly more than adequate for the size of the vehicle with a 4 cylinder turbo. I traded a 4 year old Cadillac XT6 which was loaded with accessories , and I am very glad I did. This car has not only a high end look, but is also very luxurious driving experience.

2026 Toyota bZ review
Toyota decided to get serious with their electric compact suv over their earlier version. Lowered the price making it competitive with all others in this class. Also making it now competitive is the increase in driving range, the XLE AWD model gets a significant boost with a 288 mile range. In addition the horsepower on the XLE AWD increased to 338 providing 0-60 in the middle 4 second range… that’s head snapping power. Also, major improvements were addressed to the charging system… now able to charge significantly faster and it comes using the NACS (North American Charging Standard) outlet connection for faster charging ( (originally called the Tesla charging connection). I personally enjoy driving the bZ around town but also on major roads. It runs quietly as an electric should but also isolates road noise. The instrument panel is different but coming from driving my plug in hybrid Prius Prime I’m used to different. I trust Toyota overall quality over all other manufacturers whether the vehicle is a traditional combustible gas engine or now electric.

Communication with Tasca was very timely and smooth. Negotiations were all conducted via email and ultimately purchased a truck. My salesman, Andrew Urbec was good to deal with. Prior to the sale, I'd arranged my own financing for much better terms than what I knew I'd get through the dealer or other local banks. Of course, Tasca's finance guy not too happen to learn I was a cash purchase customer. And no, I didn't want any of the extra xx "protection" packages like wheel & tire protection, etc. Sales Manager was ok to deal with, though personally not too impressed. Does the usual whining about how they're losing money on this and that the vehicle is sold as a loss leader. Yeah, ok buddy - I've been buying cars a loooooonnnnng time so I've heard it all. Don't worry - Tasca's getting it's pound of flesh back from manufacturer hold backs, manufacturer incentives, etc. Overall, my second purchase from Tasca (previous was a Jeep - much better experience from a personal interaction point of view). But meh - a car is a commodity. Just hoping this first-time Ford buyer will be satisfied.

2026 Hyundai VENUE review
The Venue is a fantastic small car, perfect for driving around town. It's easy to park, maneuver, and drive. It has great visibility, without big blind spots. It's very comfortable and drives very, very well - far better than I expected for its price. My 6'2" husband fits in it easily, as driver or as passenger. It has quite decent power, and it accelerates faster than our old Honda Civic did. It has great storage capacity for its size, and I love the two-tone styling on the SEL model I bought. It's not a luxury car. It is small, the interior is basic, and there are certainly cars available with more horsepower. Nonetheless, it is an absolutely fabulous car for its size price - I truly don't understand why I don't see more of these on the road! I LOVE my new Hyundai Venue!

2026 GMC Canyon review
This purchase was a replacement for 2022 Honda Ridgeline. While the Canyon is much stronger when talking about the motor it lacks some the little extra details like cabin and tail gate storage. This truck is a bit less stable on the road when it is windy and it definitely consumes more gas. But overall it is a great mid-level truck, feels strong and looks great

2026 Mazda CX-90 review
After owning several luxury SUV”s , the Mazda CX 90 with the inline 6 engine, is amazing and just as luxurious! The cabin is quiet the ride is smooth and have taken several road trips without any problems. We have been very impressed with the gas mileage on this AWD as well. The third row is ideal for anyone under 5.11, and it’s very convenient to have rear AC that can be controlled by rear passengers.

I am 77 years old and a Vietnam Era Veteran, I had a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck that I used in my business until I retired and still drove it after that until it got to a point where it just wasn't feasible to repair it anymore so I scrapped it, since I am retired I don't really drive that much anymore and I used Lyft services and my wife's car to occasionally get here and there. But my wife works part time and needs the car about 4 days a week. Then I decided I wanted to get myself another vehicle, not necessarily a new one but a recent late model, but then the ordeal of deciding what I wanted to get started. Did I want a small car a big car a truck, and SUV and if an SUV which one? Since I am a veteran I use the VA Health Care Center in Providence and I am provided Lyft services to and from the hospital for checkups and what have you. During my car search time I happened to have an appointment at the VA and when I called Lyft services to schedule a ride they sent over a beautiful Honda Pilot which I rode in and was very impressed with, and as luck would have it, when I was through with my appointment and called for another ride, Lyft sent ANOTHER Honda Pilot to take me home and I was very impressed with that vehicle as well. I searched for Honda Pilot vehicles online and came across a beautiful looking 2020 EX model, it was burgundy, loaded with a lot of features, had very low mileage, and was very reasonably priced. It was for sale at Grieco Honda on Hartford avenue in Johnston. As a lot of people , are I was a little hesitant about going into a car dealership having heard stories about various bad experiences some people have had with some. When I went into Grieco Honda I was introduced to a young man named Chris Matarese who was a very pleasant individual. He brought the vehicle around for us to go for a test drive, was extremely polite, very intelligent and exceptionally knowledgeable about the vehicle, answering all of my questions in an instant. After a brief time of asking my "20 questions" about the vehicle and financing I decided to buy the 2020 Honda Pilot. Since the vehicle had just been taken in trade it had not been inspected by the service department as yet, and Chris had the vehicle taken in immediately to have it inspected, the service manager noted that the driver side sun visor was not functioning properly and hung a little bit low having apparently been sprung over time, and it was decided that Grieco would put a new visor in for me which I thought was a very nice gesture. So to end this story, I've had the vehicle now for a little over 2 months and I cannot be happier with it and also with the excellent and outstanding service and courtesy which was extended to me by Chris Matarese, you will find him exceptionally honest, devoutly professional, and eager to earn your business. The services provided by Grieco Honda including sales, financing, and the service department were all excellent in quality, if you're looking for a vehicle go to Grieco Honda on Hartford Avenue in Johnston and ask for Chris you will not be disappointed I can assure you. 2026 Mazda Mazda3 review
Bought 26' Mazda 3 hatchback Premium 6spd. While this car occupies a niche segment, a manual transmission car (not a CUV), it is a practical daily commuter car that also brings some driving joy to my enthusiast side. This model has been around since 2019 but still looks like it could have been a new model release. The interior is one of the nicest in the segment. All places touched frequently are covered in soft plastics or leather. The options include a complete host of safety and driver aids, headup display, lane departure, and adaptive cruise are actually helpful and not intrusive. I enjoy the Bose 12spkr system while rowing through the gears. The transmission is smooth and precise. This is not a fast car but it is a joy driving with spirit. The back seats are snug but our young children fit comfortably. The rear hatch is deep and fits enough for getaways or Costco runs. The handling is confidence inspiring that keeps you grinning even well within the car's limits. Having owned other Mazdas including Mazda6 6spd v6, CX 5 twice...the Mazda 3 hasn't disappointed. The Mazda 3 is a fun car that delivers a rewarding experience, decent fuel efficiency, adequate practicality, and an interior that feels premium. The long term reliability is the really what seals the deal. We're looking forward to many years of enjoying ownership.

2026 BMW X5 PHEV review
We leased a 2026 BMW X5 xDrive50e on 3/31/2026. There were at least a dozen on the dealer lot and we were able to find one with exactly the packages and colors we wanted. We got an excellent deal and, including our 6-year-old paid-off trade-in, left with a monthly payment of less than $300. The car is beautiful, manhattan green with cognac interior. This is our first PHEV, so we started with the included level 1 charger and then installed a level 2 charger (Emporia Classic) in our garage as quickly as possible. For our typical around-town use we've been able to drive almost entirely in EV mode. The EV mileage gauge starts off at 50 miles and, given recent mild weather, appears to be accurate. The interior displays are quite usable. We particularly appreciate the heads-up driver display, which shows speed, speed limit, and even driving directions. The most common operations are still associated with knobs and buttons, with interior temperature settings relegated to the central LCD but visible by default. The main LCD is a touch screen and the BMW iDrive puck is particularly helpful for changing settings. The depth of settings and options is immense. Fortunately an expert at the dealer set up all the basics before we left. We're still experimenting with various features such as automatic locking and interior lighting, but we can find our way around. The ride is softer than a previous (~2015) X5 we had, which is actually nice. The car can be raised and lowered. You can drive in EV, hybrid, or sport mode. So far we've kept it in EV and the performance is plenty good. It still has the tight handling we expect of a BMW. If you punch the gas, the engine fires up and the car really takes off (483 hp). We had a bad experience with run-flat tires in the previous X5 and switched to regular tires plus a spare kept under the back storage area. That is no longer an option because that space is now taken by batteries. We hope we won't have similar tire trouble in this car. With our three-year lease and bumper-to-bumper plus maintenance coverage over the entire period, we will have minimal worries about anything going wrong.

2026 BMW X5 PHEV review
My first BMW was a 1974 3.0CS. Superb driving machine all the rest, 740 IL, 540s, 550, Z4 3.5 and now an X54e. All great fun.
