2023 Porsche 911 review
What can I say, the benchmark of sports cars. I have a 4S Cabrio. I chose the 4 as I like all-wheel-drive, even in Florida. Better grip. The S also has more horsepower. Build quality and fit and finish our superb. The ultimate sports car without all the problems of the Italian cars. You’d be hard to find a car with better handling and Performance. The look is timeless. There’s no mistake at what you’re looking at when you see a Porsche. Great car.

Riley Harmon created a flawless car-buying experience for me, even as an out-of-state buyer. As a life-long car enthusiast, I consider myself a demanding buyer. I know what I want from the car, and I want the car-buying experience to be fun by being easy. To ensure that, Riley was responsive, communicative, clear, friendly, professional, patient, and informative, among other things. He responded to every phone call, email, text message in a very reasonable time, and was clear in communication and explanation of their process. The car I bought was the only one in the country in the right color and options combo, which is why I was making the purchase from out-of-state. Not once did he pressure me in any way, despite the unique inventory. The Alfa Romeo I bought has been a life goal, but I wanted to remain rational about the major purchase, so not feeling pressured was important. I flew to Kansas City (my first visit) before the paperwork was completed due my late decision to move forward the previous day. Riley picked me up from the airport, no questions asked. I enjoyed the ride over to Aristocrat Motors while he told me about the city and its history, as well as about the dealership, its management and practices. I truly enjoyed that drive and already felt justified in my decision to make a trip to buy a car. When we pulled up to the dealership, I knew to expect a large, multi-brand campus. It was even nicer than I had expected. Given that the car was a life goal as well as having a sticker price double what I have ever paid for a car before, I was hoping for that ‘above and beyond’ sales experience you always see in commercial, but also knowing that the car I wanted was still a fraction of the most expensive cars that Aristocrat offers. What happened next sealed the deal. The car was not parked in a delivery area outside, not set up in a staging room inside the building; the car was in the middle of the prettiest, most impressive showroom room that I have ever seen, under a massive domed ceiling with indirect lighting, on a stoned floor, surrounded by other Alfas and Maseratis. I was blown away that this is how they treated me. After a quick test-drive just to make sure everything was in its right place, Riley reviewed the online paperwork and pricing that I had gone over the night before. Their online purchasing system is transparent. I could see everything I needed to in one spot, including selecting any applicable manufacturer discounts that applied on my own. The number he showed me matched what I saw the day before, no surprises. Now, the last step before a very long drive home, was the finance office. I was still expecting to walk into Ben Jones’ office and get hit with offers for last-chance, just-in-case add-ons; I was wrong. Ben rattled off the same numbers I saw at home, the same numbers I reviewed with Riley. A handful of signatures in what couldn’t have been longer than 5 minutes, and I was done. My head still spins at how fast that process was, as well as respectful of me as a buyer and my time. I walked out of the office, back over to my new car. Riley thanked me, gave me a parting gift then I quite literally drove off into the sunset. I almost cried looking around myself, seated in a beautiful new Alfa Romeo, with not a single regret nor speed bump to give me second thoughts. The sole thing left to be desired is an Aristocrat Motors location in my home area. Thank you so very much to Riley and all of the Aristocrat Motors staff, it was an absolute pleasure.

Love Love Love my 2021 Macan Turbo - It tracked almost as good as my 2019 Boxster GTS. (Within a couple seconds). Tech features are great - love the PCM (Radio Module - easy carplay and works well). Very comfortable suv smooth riding. Seems very reliable so far. 15k miles so far.

2018 Porsche Macan review
One of the most fun cars I have ever driven. The acceleration and handling are on another level than the X5M or X3M. It’s also practical and looks extremely sharp. Infotainment could be better - the PDK is lightening fast though. Exhaust tone is amazing. I can go on and on.

2021 Porsche 718 Boxster review
Terrific car and the best I have ever owned Comfort downgraded because the leather seats are just too hard, a common problem with leather seating. Lexus uses much softer leather, making their seats much more comfortable for a long drive. Wouldn't need heated seats if not for the leather seating surfaces. Fabric is MUCH more comfortable. Interior design is excellent except for the extensive use of bright metal accents which should never be used in a convertible. Solved with matte black vinyl wrap. Infotainment system is an unmitigated disaster - it simply fails to work much too often, specifically Apple CarPlay works only about half the time, backup camera often fails to display, and sometimes the display shows nothing but "Loading Home." This should be simple to fix but local dealer refuses or is incapable of doing the right thing. This is a terrific $50K sports car; too bad it costs so much more. Reliability downgraded only because of infotainment problems. No mechanical issues.

Purchased as a CPO. So far it is fantastic. Performance, Styling, fit and finish are as expected in a Porsche. Reliability will be a measure moving forward. So far for a 5 year old car with under 50K miles it is like new. Time will tell if it develops the good ole German oil leaks (I’ve yet to own an Audi, Porsche, Mercedes, and VW that didn’t leak oil as it got older.)

2013 Porsche Boxster review
Not a daily driver. But, by far the most fun car I’ve ever owned. Bought a 2013 S MT in 2015, still can’t part with it in 2024. This one’s a keeper. It is a pure joy to drive, mostly top down but even top up, the flat 6 boxer engine sound is incredible. Handling is superb - it’s like the car is an extension of the person driving it…the car goes where ever you want it to go effortlessly and nimbly…it’s amazing! The 981s MT is an incredible value. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

2018 Porsche Macan review
2018 Macan S CPO .. I’ve owned a lot of cars/trucks over the years, BMW’s, Mercedes, Hondas, Chevy’s, Ford’s, Buicks, etc. and so far this Macan S brings the biggest smile .. stupid fast .. minimal road noise .. fabulous interior .. Here is a review of my start to finish process of buying a car from Gateway Classic Cars, Ft. Lauderdale: ----- 1. The sales people who you work with are not on site. They're working remote so they don't have eyes on the car. ---- So, 2. You'll want to be connected with someone on site who can start and drive the car, provide a walkaround video, pictures of whatever you want and give their input. I worked with Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location for my purchase and he was outstanding with helping me to know the car before making an offer. He is the reason that this is a 5 star review. -------- 3. Hauling: They'll get you a quote for hauling the vehicle. I chose Nexus Transport myself to use. They were a bit cheaper and top rated by Forbes. That went just fine. --------- 4. These cars are all on consignment. So, I feel that you have to be a little more careful because you have another party who may not have disclosed things to Gateway. Best practice is to get a pre-buy done from someone like Lemon Squad. That being said, I was so comfortable with my deal, took the risk and waived the pre-buy. And in my case, the Prowler is a mint gem and I have no concerns after receiving it. Also, there is a common thought then you buy a car like this, you should budget 10% or so of the price for maintenance right after you get the car because stuff always comes up, otherwise, don't buy a used car. --------5. Since they're on consignment, they have commissions they charge the seller. As a buyer, I don't care if I see a commissions line on the purchase agreement. As long as my out the door number was what I offered, that's fine. --------6. I wired money to them and within a few hours, I had all the fully executed paperwork back in my hands. Title took about 3 weeks to receive by UPS. And the folder had everything I needed to register the car in my state. Wow! Thank you Barbara! ------ 7. So here is what breeds loyalty. Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location made sure the car was completely ready to be picked up including accessories that were bubble wrapped. The car was supposed to be picked up at Noon on Saturday, plenty of time before they closed at 5pm. He stayed until the truck arrived...very late....AT 1:30am Sunday morning!!!! (Otherwise, it would have sat until Tuesday). I cannot believe he did that for me. I received my car loading video at 2am. That's unbelievable service that deserves more than 5 stars. ------- Summary: I'd have zero issues with buying from Gateway again....they just operate in a different dealership style than what I'm used to, which is just fine.
1976 Porsche 914 review
I owned a 1974 (1.8) and loved it. Felt it was a perfect sports car. Have two suggestions: Buy a plastic base for your battery. If not you may get some serious rusting underneath that will need repair. Also inspect the "Jack" insert locations. These can collect dirt and road salt. My 1.8 blew away EPA gas milage predictions of 23 MPG. I never got below 24 MPG / registered 40 MPG during a road trip in Florida. My Porsche was still raring to go when I decided that 140 MPH was fast enough and I slowed down before getting any tickets.
