It was nice to get beyond the dickering that one is always subjected to from car salespeople. Buying from the comfort of home was nice.

Bearing design problems.

We’ve own a 2003 and 2013 Foresters and both of them had extensive wheel bearing problems at around 40-60,000 miles, costing $1500 ea. Came to learn from a Subaru auto mechanic that Subarus have a design problem with bearing seals. We will not ownanother one in the future.
Spencer is amazing to work with. We bought a vehicle from Dollar but had to primarily work over email and phone because we are out of state. Spencer worked with our bank, worked with us, and by the time we arrived all that was left was a test drive...Which was flawless. Super nice guy, very clear with everything, but worked hard to make sure we were taken care of.
Hey I just got it home and I’m being optimistic

This was a pre-owned vehicle used lightly as a loaner. It looks, runs and even smells like new. And we paid a great price, no BS
I dreaded the experience of buying a car but this was a very pleasant surprise..they worked hard to get me a car I badly needed. Spencer was great to work with. I highly recommend this place.
A. Exceptionally nice car

The Forester is exactly what we were looking for. Reasonably priced, very comfortable, efficient for its size, smooth driving, excellent performing. Upright seating fits a wide range of sizes and is great for tall drivers. Excellent rear seat space. Very, very, good cargo space access. The interior is well laid out. Controls are easy to reach and easy to understand. One more thing, the climate control system is fully up to handling Phoenix summer weather.
Leo and Bryan were great to do business with. They both came in on a Sunday even though their dealership was closed. There was no pressure to buy and they were willing to wait while I made a decision and ask about other cars they had in stock. Very professional and very good customer service. I’ve already told people I know looking to buy a car to check out the dealership.
Feel very safe

I love my 2018 Forester. I’m only 5’ and the seats are very comfortable. Don’t really like the Navigation - can’t seem to make it work. I have 2 friends who also have a Forester, all of ours are green. Only thing negative is the rear windshield wiper. When I go through the car wash, the portion that doesn’t move, pops off. I’ve lost one and now I have to put painters tape over it to keep it in place.
I hate car shopping. I HATE it. The people are pushy and there is so much paperwork and it just takes forever. I was so happy at Walker's - it didn't feel like I was buying a car until suddenly I was driving home in my new car! I can't recommend Walker's and Melissa enough. She made the process so easy and stressfree.
Very Reliable Vehicle.....but ?
December 21, 2018
Example: The gps/map system is not intuitive to easily upgrade maps! Subaru seems unable to inform customers when new maps are available? Using the Subaru app Subaru Toolbox Gen2 is not very user friendly.....a poorly created app period! Connecting to your personal devices through STARLINK is a waste of time and unreliable. Why Subaru uses this poorly designed software and not Apple Car Play, used by most other car manufacturers, is questionable! It would be truly nice to be able to link my IPhone to the Gen2 headunit display but.....no way? Seems the electronics of this car is for Android devices primarily and not Apple friendly!

I had a failed clutch at 5000 miles on my 2018 WRX and it was replaced full warranty. I really appreciated the fact that I was supplied with a rental for the two days and was given 5 star treatment - Eastside Subaru in Kirkland WA always comes thru for me - their Service and Sales is top notch!. Being a woman driver and having a failed clutch at first brought question I think which is very reasonable having a clutch go out at 5,000 miles on a WRX but really all I got was a casual "so, is this your first stick" ? I answered no and said it was at least my 7th stick since 1981, including a 2002 Boxster, so I knew it wasn't driver error! Also from the beginning my clutch was very stiff so there may have been friction? When I got it back, it is feather light and amazing! OMG it is like a true race car! I love my WRX and Eastside Subaru!
We love Subarus!

We have always driven Subarus. They are more expensive to buy then other vehicles but they are so reliable. We bought our first Subaru in1975. We drove 3 of our Subarus for 300,000 miles!
We met with Christian who helped us find exactly the kind of car we were looking for. He was very helpful, informative, and we felt no pressure to haggle for a deal. Everyone at Mazda Renton treated us well throughout the purchasing process. We feel we got the deal we were looking for.
Went from always driving compact car to this SUV

I was'nt sure I would like a SUV as I always drove a compact car, but decided to try it as I am shorter and needed to see better on major freeways and roadways in the Metro area as I would have large semi's, trucks, other Suv's in the lanes surrounding me. Oh what a difference-love it that now I can actually see everything so clearly. The car is easy to get in and out. It rides and feels like a luxury car. Has all the safety features plus.
We recently came in to buy my third Subaru in a row. Mel was very approachable, great about showing us our options, very patient as I waffled between two cars, and not at all pushy. She also worked with us to negotiate on the trade-in value of our old car. Overall we were very satisfied with our experience at Walker's and would recommend them to others in the market!
Great in every way.

Love it. The Forester has plenty of room. It has a smooth ride. There’s plenty of space in back to haul items. It gets good gas mileage.
This is the second new Subaru I have purchased from Peninsula Subaru. The experience here both times has been quick and non pressure. Andrew was great about getting back to me in a timely manner and helping me find the exact car I was looking for with no pressure. When the car I wanted wasn't going to be in for a week and I had sold my car, he got me a loaner for the interim. When I didn't have time to come down and pick up my car when it arrived, he drove it to my workplace 20 minutes away at my lunch time. If I ever need to purchase a new car again, I will come back to Peninsula Subaru. They truly want to keep business local and work hard at keeping their customers and giving them the best deal in the area. Tory, who answers phones and greet you at the main desk, has tons of energy, is super friendly and spunky, and is a great asset to the dealership. She is an amazing person to begin your experience at Peninsula Subaru.
This is the second car I have gotten at Walker's Renton Subaru, and both times the experience was exceptional. The staff was great to work with, and my sales rep, Diane Baldwin, was the best! The cars are amazing, and they have a huge selection to choose from. I highly recommend Walker's Renton Subaru.
Checking your car in for repairs is rushed. I asked to see what the multi point inspection included. The guy said, they didn't having anything written down that he could show me. However, upon check out I was given a multi point inspection form. You are insulted personally if you have an accent or ask questions. I have owned a mini cooper, a kia and a honda I was never treated this bad at any of those dealerships. Regret having purchased my Forster in Kirkland which is a 45 minute drive from home.
Purchased last new vehicle from Walker in 2005. Came back and was very happy to have met Diane. We hit it off right away. Came back about a month later and bought a 2018 Forest. Drove it home and loved the experience, So I called Diane to find us a red Crosstrek for my girlfriend. She had us wait a couple of days, then promptly had what we wanted. So now, we couldn???t be happier!! Hugs to Diane and everyone that supported her in making us FULLY satisfied with our investment.
I was recently in the market for a brand new STI and called late Friday night inquiring about a '18 STI they had on their lot. Michael Yadon answered the phone, took a message and said he'd follow later that night. To my surprise, he quickly pulled together all the info I needed in addition to sending up to date photos of the vehicle that were better than the website. The following morning, Michael gave me a call, talked through some details and while I was at another dealership negotiating he tossed out a no pressure response to some follow-up questions. After a frustrating experience at that dealership, Michael assured me he'd make it right. After two hours in rush-hour traffic, Michael greeted me right as I pulled up, had the car ready and we were out on a test driven in under five minutes. Michael recognized I was already quite annoyed based on my experience at the last dealership and was quick to handle the trade and purchase price offer with the sales managers; less than two hours later I was out in my new STI. Overall I was really impressed with his professionalism, attention to detail and how he really wanted to own the experience and make sure all the details were taken care of.
the only negative we had was w/ the financial person trying to sell us another $12,000 worth of ? products. REally? why would we just spend $28,000 (paid cash) and want or need to spend another 12 on 'what if's". Almost walked away from the deal. but, the gentleman we dealt with for our purchase was Very good! Esiah i think his name was. We love our new car (previous owners of Suburu's.)
Great cars - great dealership - can't go wrong here. Finance manager is the best a great guy and very good at what he does. Nice to have a great car sold from a great dealership - and the service department is top notch!
Andrew was pleasant, and actually felt like he cared about what we wanted to purchase, he was not pushy at all. The vehicle we choose was detailed nicely. And I was also impressed that We received all service records tha were performed on the vehicle when it arrived at the dealership.
I recently purchased a car from Carter Subaru, and right off the bat, it wasn't the greatest experience. The gentleman helping me didn't seem interested to sell me the car at all and knew absolutely nothing about the car. I called in to schedule the test drive and when I arrived the car was very dirty. You would think if you're trying to sell a car you would have it looking its best.
