Chuck Lucas was our sales person, and he was amazing! He treated us like family, and that made us feel like we were exactly where we needed to be. One of the first things he told us was that he is a Christian, and he feels called to make sure that his customer's car buying experience is a positive and blessed one. He was in no way pushy, and even asked more than once if we had any questions or concerns about the vehicle. Before I test drove a car, I explained to Chuck that we had just been discharged from a 5-year bankruptcy. I needed to let him know about that up front, because I knew financing would be a problem due to our credit situation. I did not want to waste his time or ours, if the dealership did not deal with people that have credit issues. Chuck told me that they are a family-owned and operated business, and they understand that life is not easy, and that hardships arise. At no time were my husband and I made the feel uncomfortable due to our credit situation. The finance department did a great job of getting our credit approved, and our payment where it needed to be. I would 100% recommend the Dick Dean Subaru team, and when it is time for another vehicle we will be back.

Fabulous car, some downsides

To be honest, the car is great. It looks and feels great in and out. The seats are stylish and the dash is sleek and has a large touch screen (mines a Sport model). However, there are downsides. I love how cool the screen is, but not having buttons feels dangerous. I have to look down too much to hit the buttons since I can’t feel then like a regular radio/whatever. Secondly, whoever thought it was a good idea not to make he cup holders round is crazy. Half is curved, but then it’s straightens out to look like a short bullet shape. What this means is that no cup is secure and the drinks bounce around and when you learn about it it’s from spilling coffee all over in your brand new car cuz you went over train tracks. Third, the transmissions jerks sometimes when you let off the accelerator. When it downshifts you can feel the car since back as the transmission starts to stop the car when it should be saving energy by coasting. These I’m told are normal traits in the car. Lastly, the 28mpg city rating is false. I get 20 in the city driving like a grandpa. Apparently these things suck when the engine is could and my 2 miles commute sees the worst efficiency I can imagine for a brand new 4 cylinder with such a good rating. All in all though, I like it and it’s a sexy car.

What can I say, they are the best! Since 2013 I???ve bought 4 New Subarus from The Dean Team and I have a used Baja that is serviced only with them. Not only is the Salesman easy to work with, (you need to check into the guaranteed trade up programs) it???s what goes on after the sale. The service and parts staff are willing to go the extra mile to accommodate your needs. So I have 3 Subarus currently being serviced at the Dean Team no surprises, no disappointments. I travel 47 miles one way to get there, but worth it! It???s the Dean Team???s staff that keeps me coming back!

Overall, I am EXTREMELY satisfied with my 2018 VW Atlas and the sales professionals that I dealt with. The car itself is exactly what I was looking for and the crew that helped me made it easy getting to the finish line. I did have interactions with a total of 4 individuals throughout my purchase process(and not in a bad way), but Richard Gotsch was amazing. Very knowledgeable, approachable as a sales person, and very understanding of my goals and what I was trying to accomplish. Thank you Jason Moore! First .... One of the worst things to do in life is car shop and we have been doing this for weeks NOW!!! Ugh ... And boy have we encountered some of the most arrogant individuals in this line of work. However, not here nope you can tell everyone here puts their pants on just like us everyday! So.... We purchased a used vehicle from Jason!! I will tell you we did most of our negotiations via text and that was awesome! America is in the technology world and we get it so that was nice! Thank you Jason for taking the time out of your personal life to communicate. Like the rest of us in America our time off from work is valuable and I hope the owner realizes what an asset YOU are to his team! Perhaps if the Dean team doesn't reimburse their staff for personal devices they should consider such. Thank you for taking the time out to go over all the details of the jeep and making sure we return for the follow up details and other equipment to be installed on our jeep! We wanted to point out that if you are NOT in shape or lazy you shouldn't apply to work here ... For no one we ever seen walks ... We were like wow "do you see how everyone runs here" to the customer or a vehicle. It was hot out but they were more concerned if we needed a drink.... More like they needed one ... We encountered much aggravated times after weeks of shopping at other dealerships .... One time we said "hurry up get in the car and drive off" so the salesman couldn't see us lol .... We drove another vehicle and litterly something fell OFF that jeep (oh boy) ..... Another dealership couldn't find 3 different vehicles that they said they had and NO CLUE where they could be yet still tried to show us something we had no interest in ... Yet another dealer made us feel like we went to Edward Jones and NOT car shopping as he gave us advise on what banks to use while treating us like we had a 500 credit score (no joke) the general manger told me no I was tall enough and I didn't need side rails for my jeep so he wouldn't put them on and they would cost me 1100.00 .....(I'm 5'2)!!! I could say soooo much more but at the end of the day this what I'll say.......... See you next week Jason when you put my side rails on our NEW jeep!!!! ( for a for a fraction of what the above mentioned dealership told me) Btw.... The Dean Team's F &I guy (Rick) a thank you for your professional attitude and work getting us in and out in record time! That's always a hassle but NOT here! Jason .... We will see you again

I've been shopping for a 2018 Subaru Outback (Premium) for awhile and did my fair share of homework on the three major Subaru dealers in St. Louis. What brought me to Dean Team Subaru initially was the email communication I had with Mark McNulty and the low pricing on their website. Mark was great through the couple of email exchanges I had, helped me understand my "walking out the door" price and wasn't pushy on having me come in. When I ended up coming in, I met with Tony Wright. Tony from the get go was personable and affable, generally all around likable. I told him I was interested in the Outback but that I had plans to visit two other dealerships before the day was through. Tony said he'd love to do whatever was needed to help keep me at Dean Team and save me the trip to the other locations (Thanks Tony :) ). Since I knew what a fair amount about the Outback, there wasn't much "training" that I needed however Tony clearly was knowledgeable on the product line. He took the time to answer the few questions I had and provided clear and detailed information. He suggested a great stretch of road to do a test drive on so I could try out the various features the car had to offer. When it came to negotiations, the process was beautifully simple. Telling me that he wanted to know "what it would take" to make a deal, I was straight forward with my requirements and with a quick conversation or two with his manager and agreement on my end we were writing up the sales contract. All while doing this, Tony took the time to get to know my wife and I and shared stories about his own family. The finance manager we worked with was Jason Moore. We didn't spend a ton of time with him but he did a great job, got us through all of our paperwork quickly and we weren't pressured into any add on products like we've experienced at other dealerships. At the very end, Tony made sure to explain every last feature as we were doing our final wrap up and even offered some great suggestions on coming back for more information on the cars and to not forget to take advantage of their free car washes! When we were done, we were totally content with the process. Will definitely go back to Tony and the Dean Team Subaru folks for our next vehicle.

I first owned a 2013 impreza. I totaled it at 103,500 miles and bought a 2018 impreza with 7800 miles. You would think after 5 years Subaru would get their bluetooth connectivity issues fixed. But obviously not. I'm playing music in my car get out of my car with it still running, get back in my car put it in reverse and my phone randomly disconnects and will not reconnect until I restart the car. And heaven forbid you take your seat belt off a split second before you put it in park because it will beep like crazy even after it's in park! So stupid! I feel like my 2013 impreza was a little quicker as well. My 2013 had all the recall/lawsuit problems so hopefully the 2018 is better build quality . Other then those small problems it's been a great car and I like it.

Actually found my "dream" car, (I had been searching for over 2 years!) It was a very SPECIFIC 2012 make, model, and color with other features. It showed up via "Car Gurus" and it was located at this dealership. Called to see the vehicle spoke and spoke to salesperson John Biermann. He was most helpful, friendly, accommodating and went out of his way to make certain that ALL of my questions/needs were met and I purchased the car! Although I took my husband along with me, I most appreciated the fact that he realized that I was the car buyer and not my husband. The entire car buying experience was awesome!

The car met all of my travelling needs. It's a great commuter and capable of some adventurous dirt paths. Getting ~30mpg for AWD all the time is great. Subaru's eyesight makes the driving experience assuring and the Apple CarPlay integrated in the head unit makes media consumption super easy.

I loved my 2007 Toyota Matrix. There was only one problem. It had a manual transmission and my left knee is shot. (That happens when you get old.) I looked at CRVs, HRVs, RAV4s, Highlanders, and realized all I really wanted was a Matrix with an automatic transmission. Enter Jeff, Emmanuel, and Travis at Lou Fusz Used Toyota. They had a 2009 Matrix with only 35,000 miles on it! Nineteen times the original owner had it serviced, not because of mileage, but because of the dates. They offered me a fair trade-in value for my old machine, cleared the outstanding balance, and set me up with a sweet car. My payment went up $60 per month. My insurance costs rose 86 cents every six months. Where's the downside? How can such a bargain exist, you ask? Look up the color called Sundance Metallic. It is the same color as Autumn Squash soup at Panera's. Folks can sure see me coming, but I'm inside, so I'm cool with it!

I HATE buying cars. But the Fusz team at Old Olive Street really deserves credit for making an experience that could have been tough, easy: Our family owned two Subarus purchased from Fusz: a 2012 Outback and a 2015 Forester. Two days before we were to depart to Europe for a month to attend our daughter's wedding the Forester was totaled and I needed to arrange a replacement by long distance. Mark Linneman in the collision center looked after my destroyed Forester. He retrieved license plates, loose change and several accessories, and kept them for me until we could return. After some online research I quickly concluded the 2016 Forester was the best choice (top pick at Consumer Reports, again), and contacted Stephanie through their website, as I had the first two times. She provided price and availability details on several alternatives right away. We completed all the arrangements using email and the web-based "chat" function. The car was ready the week we returned home, with all the business and other details settled exactly as we had discussed. Many thanks to the whole team! One additional note: The 2015 Forester performed incredibly in the crash that destroyed it. The front crumple zone did its job, ALL of the airbags deployed -- literally shredding the car interior -- and I walked away with only a bruise from the seatbelt. I say: buy a Subaru and live.

Last Saturday I bought a 2017 Highlander from Weiss Toyota... it was really a fantastic car buying experience! I wasn't expecting the buying process to be smooth and pressure free experience. Most of the times, the car buying process is something many people hate to go through. This time with Weiss Toyota the buying process was easy and breeze! I started to communicate with Monte Hall (sale Person) several days in advance of the walk in visit via e-mails and texts to get the designated vehicle's specifications. in one of the e-mails Monte told me: "if you're buying a new car please give me a chance", and I did give Monte a chance and I am happy that I did. Eventually, Last Saturday I walked in and greeted by Monte Hall which was followed by showing me the car that I was making inquiry about. From the get go the buying process was transparent, friendly, and professional. Me and Monte went back and forth with James Leinauer (Sale Manager) to get the final agreeable purchase price. All I can say is to thank both Monte and James for their professionalism and patiently handling of my counter offers. the purchasing process can't be any better. Eventually, I would like to thank Mike Cross (Financial) for his professional handling of the paperwork's. If you're looking for new vehicle, I am really recommending you to see Monte Hall at Weiss Toyota first before you make the final decision to buy another car. The negotiated price is really reasonable and the lowest I could get. Finally, I couldn't have been happier with a low pressure, hassle free of car buying experience.

What an AMAZING experience at Mungenast - AGAIN! This is my 3rd vehicle (over 20 years) from Mungenast, and each time gets better! Kurt Marty did a fantastic job - I was in my new vehicle about 24 hours after I decided I needed to get one. I decided that 190k+ miles on my '09 Pilot was enough, and made the contact with Kurt. Within an hour, he had a '16 Odyssey in my sights! And 24 hours later, I picked it up! I hope to get another 190k+ miles in this vehicle. I do all my maintenance with Mungenast - as they are reliable and reasonable. I hope Kurt is still there when I'm ready for another vehicle!

Really good in snow...sucked at everything else

I honestly hated this car. The only time where I loved it was in the snow...because it just never got stuck. Like I could have snow up to my fenders and still mash the pedal from a dead stop and not slip once. Like it was kind of unbelievable in the winter. But with having standard awd it's kind of expected. But everything else...it's uncomfortable, the electronics tended to just stop working...regularly...like the radio would shut off at random, the back up camera would stop working whenever it felt like...radio presets would reset, the screen would stop working...just a headache sometimes. The check engine light would pop on every once in awhile seemingly for no apparent reason and then go off without warning. It got TERRIBLE GAS MILEAGE...like literally terrible... For a four banger I literally only averaged like 23 mpg....on a good day got 25...never higher than that...and I do ALL highway driving. I bought a f**king Challenger and that thing averages 30 mpg...and has DOUBLE the power. It's insane. And I don't understand it. And the car is ungodly slow and I HATE the CVT trans...it's literally the worst thing ever. I wanted a manual but I settled for the cvt because I didn't want to wait a week when I needed a car at the time. It is what it is. If you don't care about fuel economy, performance, working radios, electronics in general, and just something that you can get from point a to b with little to no issues then get a subie...But if you actually care about all that stuff then I'd stay very far away from this car. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I don't really car. Literally the MOST BORING car I've ever owned...and I used to own a 1998 Ford escort that broke every other week and that thing was still more fun than this... Just happy to be out of it. Someone else's problem now.

We search lots of hatchback models & makes and found the Subaru Impreza met most of our criteria. ( would have like it to have a turbo option for the manual transmission) The cabin is stylish yet practical & roomy. The hatchback space if perfect for the cargo we will be carrying. Love this car!

My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

Good small family car. Wasnt as stable as I thought it would be on highways next to big cars. Maybe because it is a small car and the wheelbase is small.

First Subaru but not first AWD

I bought this yesterday Feb 1 2019 with 20,700 miles on it from the dealership at Southpointe Hendricks Subaru in Durham, NC. I think the dealership did not give a great deal. charged more than they should have. I got black Premium. The car seems higher than the sport model i tried in a different place which had everything on it. This one doesn't have the blind spot or auto braking before a collision and I think I should have had that. The car drives well but has a lot of body roll and some engine noise. Though outside noise is negligent. Brakes well and corners well as the turning radius is smaller than the legacy. It doesn't feel as planted as my BMW 2011 3 series with X Drive but that is a different category of car altogether. But for all the other cars in it's price range drives very well and looks stylish and classy in black as well as the AWD which even in if you have some snowy days in the winter is useful as well as in the rainy days in all the other seasons. I cannot say much of reliability as i have not owned it but one day. Hope it is. All in all, the affordability and the AWD and the safety that drew me to the first Japanese car I have bought. And no, not a BMW but drives well and I am satisfied.

I'm at the very beginning of using my new Subaru Impreza and I can not rejoice that this is exactly what I wanted, there is enough space for legs and shoulders, the car is fast and very maneuverable and most importantly has all wheels drive like the rest of Subaru. Very pleased with the purchase and especially the price for lease.

I love the car it is so much fun to drive and is great in the snow. It takes turns very well and all my lyft customers love it and tell me how great the drive is and that it shifts smoothly.
