Hugh White Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM review
Salesman and Chiefs' fan Zachary was polite and patient without exception through a 5-day used vehicle purchase, including coming in on his day off to finalize the sale. Because of the pandemic, I emailed him early on, listing my social distancing needs; sales experience expectations; model, approximate year, and vehicle features needed; as well as trade-in vehicles’ features. The first CR-V he showed me was the one I purchased. Negotiations were kept respectfully short, and I think the dealer and I were both satisfied with the outcome. There were some hitches in paperwork—for example, the first loan document included the dealer’s initially proposed trade-in amount instead of the negotiated amount—but I believe these were unintentional mistakes, and they were remedied with haste and without complaint. You might save a bit more by driving to a high-volume Columbus dealer—I don't know—but if you prefer shopping in Athens, as I do, I recommend giving Hugh White a try.
2019 Chevrolet Equinox review
The 2019 Chevy Equinox Premier 2.0 AWD is great overall. The 2.0 liter model is very reliable on the freeway and works wonderfully for family trips with children as the back seat is quite comfortable. The 1.5 liter model struggles to get up to freeway speeds in our prior test drive, but it doesn't feel like that at all with the 2.0 liter. The Bose Premium Audio does not have a subwoofer, but the speakers have a deep low range and provide the feeling of a full audio experience. It's quite entertaining when you are jamming out at high volume and your pantleg is rattling from the door speaker. Issue 1. The front seats are rather short leaving 4-5 finger widths from the end of the seat to the back of the legs which results in your legs feeling like they are dangling off the seat, whereas you want something closer to 2-3 finger widths. I am average height of 5'9", so this would be more uncomfortable for taller people. The passenger seat specifically presses into your right leg causing it to start to go numb after 30 minutes, so long road trips in the front passenger seat are quite uncomfortable. Issue 2. I have the 2.0 Premier AWD with every bell and whistle available, and it still "feels" like I am surrounded by plastic. I understand that Chevy is not a luxury brand, but the max comfort trim leaves much to be desired. Issue 3. The Adaptive Cruise feature will randomly disable itself in clear weather. It rarely happens, but it seems to happen for no obvious reason. Disabling Cruise Control and re-enabling it resolves the matter, so it is a minor annoyance more than anything. Something I found amusing - The owner's manual says to use 5w30 for all weather conditions above -20f, then has a caveat to use 0w30 in -20f conditions, and then on the next page has yet another caveat to use 0w40 in -20f conditions.

2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited review
It’s currently summer 2025, I’ve owned my 2020 Wrangler Sahara since spring 2021. I LOVE my jeep and have had ZERO issues with it. This is my 2 nd Wrangler, first one was 2915 New. No issues with it at either. Mine is a 4 cl turbo. I didn’t want that I wanted a 6 cl. My husband convinced me to buy it and I’m glad I did. I have 59,000. Miles currently and I haven’t had to replace anything besides general maintenance.

2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid review
I’ve had many Subarus in the past, but wanted a hybrid vehicle. So glad I did with these gas prices! I’m getting 41mpg right now. My favorite things are the trunk kick open feature, my hands are always full. I love the heated steering wheel too. I have the flat matte gray color, I receive lots of compliments and color hides dirt well. Handles well on road, drives nicely. Only thing I would change is size of cup holders, they are small.

2023 Chevrolet Equinox review
The equinox is very nice for the price. My biggest complaint is has a horrible suspension. I even lowered air pressure in the tires below the recommended pressure and the ride was no better. You feel every little bump in the pavement.

2024 Ford Escape review
I’ve had extreme trouble getting into and out of the vehicle because the floor is so deep to the door. I now have a permanently injured knee. The doors don’t open wide enough for my knee that doesn’t bend completely. That causes me discomfort. Senior people can’t always bend their joints enough to get into and out of this vehicle. But I do love how it handles and also the great features.

1-12-24 After looking a couple of months for a decent used car (Either poor quality or unwilling to negotiate), I remembered this used car dealership (I lived in The Hocking Hills for 35 years). I conducted a very thorough inspection of the 2 vehicles that I was interested in, and took both for a test drive. I ended up purchasing a 2010 Hyundai Sonata with 130,000 miles on it that was in my price range. Both cars spoke for themselves, but Derrick and Lya did not hesitate to point out the minor flaws that each vehicle had. To say the least this was a very good experience for me. Nowadays who points out a flaw in a vehicle? From the time that I arrived on the lot, during the paperwork, until I left the lot, Derrick and Lya were very professional, well mannered, and respectful. I gave Fred Wolfe Automotive a 5 star rating only because I couldn't give it a 6-10. Are you looking for a decent used car at a affordable price? Check Fred Wolfe Automotive out. You won't be disappointed. Please don't be turned away by their hours because they are not set in stone. I would recommend calling them first because apparently they are still trying to figure out the best operating hours. 2015 Subaru Forester review
Bought my 2015 Subaru 2.0XT Touring brand spanking new off the Subaru dealership's lot. Have owned it all this time about 9 years straight. Take care of your car with regular oil changes, servicing at recommended intervals, and your car will take care of you. Performed the required recalls during service periods. Not 1 single regret on owning this car, ever. It rides smooth and true. Had a clicking issue in the ball joints 2 years ago which Subaru fixed free of charge. Other than that, this car has been my dream machine.

2022 Hyundai TUCSON Hybrid review
Ive owned an SEL Convenience from new. It has an incredible performance for a Hybrid. It has a quiet, has a fabulous tiptronic transmission (with paddle shifters) with an amazing sport mode. The thing is, that if you use too much right foot, your gas mileage goes down by about 10mpg ... but it does with any car, right ? If you drive smoothly and don't accelerate hard the gas mileage can go to over 40mpg ! At 55-65mph on level pavement, it gives great gas mileage .. but accelerating at traffic lights or going fast up gradients doesn't. Thats what happens with performance vs economy. This car is well built and has great space and grace. Those that criticize the gas mileage must be "pedal to the metal" people! The sound system and Apple/Android access is really good - better than many other car brands. The warranty is amazing and so is the service support network. I'm sad to be selling my SEL Convenience because I going abroad. I'll definitely get another one when i return.

2022 Kia EV6 review
This car is amazingly fun to drive: it has a ton of power and torque, and handles like a sports car. I have the Wind AWD w/ Tech Package. The cabin is a good mix of touchscreen and physical knobs/buttons. The Meridian sound system provides fantastic audio. There is a lot of space with the rear seats folded flat.

car performes well , overall satisfied with it , but it has a rust issue ! rust under the rear wheel frame on both sides , rust under the rear lift gate , chrome on the wheel reems peeling .

Yes, incredible. It is not often I experience something incredible. I did at Don Wood CDJR. In fact, my fist experience in October was such a positive experience I was motivated to purchase a second car from them a few months later. For me, customer service is the support you offer your customers before, during and after they buy. BEFORE: Their website is easy to maneuver and up to date with inventory. This is a little lol because I didn't find what I wanted in their inventory and decided to make a custom order from them. DURING: While at the dealership everyone I encountered made my time there an easy and enjoyable experience. I'd describe them as professional and knowledgeable. Good listeners. AFTER: Many companies forget you, not the peeps at Don Wood. The followup care and support continued in a way that made me an absolute believer that their culture in wanting a happy customer is truly far reaching and genuine. They reached out to me just to make sure I didn't have any post purchase questions about the car or they many options I ordered with my new vehicle. I have not had dealings with their Service Department, however, I did pass a couple technicians in the halls etc. Each one made eye contact with me and each one said "hello". Unhappy or disgruntled associates do not do this. In summary, Yes Yes and YES - I drove from New Albany to buy my 2 vehicles here. My first was a Jeep in November and today a RAM 1500 diesel. With my highest recommendation I say YES I give Don Wood CDJR my gratitude and thanks. I am huge fan of their product. IMO their product isn't the cars and trucks they represent/sell, it is the humanity with which they do business and the genuine person to person interaction. It is meaningful. 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited review
We were looking for a moderately priced Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for a teenage son and this one fit the bill. For a roughly 8 year old vehicle it was well taken care of by previous owners. Although the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited won’t be confused with a luxury car for its ride and comfort, they are adequately appointed and fun to drive. That’s where the saying, “it’s a Jeep thing “ comes from. All I know is that in our area they are very popular and our teenage son will thoroughly enjoy it if he can ever get it away from his Mom.

2018 Jeep Compass review
I,ve had several Jeeps and Subarus and Chevys and my Compass Latitude 4x4 is as good as any for around the city and my freeway trips. Better than the Subaru for the highway and offroad. I feel safe. posted this as i feel some people are harsh and wrong about Jeeps. Do the required oil and transmission services as requested.

2024 Nissan ARIYA review
Admittedly, have not had this vehicle for very long, but I am very impressed. And I am difficult to impress. Previous vehicle was an ‘18 RAM 1500 with V8 Hemi. It was fun, powerful, loud, and I enjoyed sitting up high. Two weeks in the Ariya, and I don’t miss it. I have the AWD version, and this thing moves at the frequency I think. I mean, you see a space in traffic you want to get to, check blind spots and BAM, you’re there. Handling is crisp and tight, remaining so at highway speeds. Bumps handled like a luxury mobile of 2X the cost. Cabin is quiet, spacious, and does not feel cheap. Tons of features, power everything. Screen bootup is rapid and has my tunes going by the time I’m buckled in and have my glasses switched to my sunglasses. Heads up display tells everything I need, and well positioned. Charging so far has not been an issue in the least. Installed a ChargePoint charger in my garage, and it’s easily setup and controlled through their app, so it charges on schedule according to my utility provider’s preferred charge time, giving me a break on the electricity used to charge it. All told, I’ve spent $6 over 2 weeks and 500 miles. Truck would have cost me a tank, or 30 gallons of gas for same distance.
