2024 Jeep Compass review
We purchased a 2024 Jeep Compass Limited Elite. This vehicle has far surpassed our expectations for comfort, handling, road noise and quality. There is very little road noise we hear inside the vehicle, and this allows us to keep the radio turned down to a comfortable level. Handling is exceptional and very responsive. The driver safety features of lane guidance, adaptive cruise control (my favorite) and 360-degree backup camera are now features we will not go without after experiencing first hand performance. 2019 Cadillac XT5 review
We love our XT5, it drives great and looks great. The only thing is the navigation. You have to plug in your cell phone to get it.

2023 Honda Passport review
Had problems w/ battery draining at 17 months 22,000 miles. Then at 19 months 25000 miles, the audio unit needed replaced. While mine was In the shop, my service consultant had the same problem. Tow truck service told me they've had numerous calls on Passpotrs w/ dead batteries being dead more than once on the same vehicle. Hopefully we've got it fixed.

2020 Porsche Macan review
Recently purchased the 2020 Macan GTS, so still in 'honeymoon' phase. That said, no issues to report. Pretty amazing how the vehicle can change personalities. Can be Dr. Jeckyl - smooth, quiet, refined touring car. Click a few buttons and its Mr. Hyde - growling, fast, quick steering tall hatchback that is ready for twisting roads or highway blast. Not encountered a vehicle that does this touring/sport change as well. Another standout for the 2020 is ability to go 'old school' buttons/analog - or modern digital interfaces. Like all the buttons, once you get to know them. Quick and less distraction from road. Rear seat is snug for anyone over 6 foot. Chose this over the Audi SQ5 - but it was a close contest. GTS wins on driving dynamics, but SQ5 is a wonderful luxury experience. Hard to resist the Porsche once you drive it. Does the luxury part pretty darn well too. Wow.

I came he made the car ready for me and gave me the key and told to take as much time as I want to test the car. I tested and checked it inside and out. I came back and told him that everything was great except that I felt a couple of rotors and brake pads might have been worn out. He said he will take of that. 2018 BMW X1 review
2020 X1 w/sport seats and convenience package, purchased in 2023. Positive notes: It's a true BMW: sure-footed, agile, and no shortage of power when needed. It feels remarkably glued to the road despite its small size. Handles as well as my former 3 series and is just as fun to drive. Storage space is good. Ergonomics are good once you figure out all the technology. Negatives: Ride is a bit bumpy, even for a sporty car, which is apparently caused by the run-flat tires. If I was buying new, I'd get standard tires and a real spare, which fits in the storage space in the back. Sensatec seats are hot. In retrospect, I'd hold out for leather. Overall, I recommend this car if you're looking for something small, practical, full-featured and sporty.

2023 Honda Passport review
Made in Lincoln, Alabama, this car may be Japanese in name, but built in the USA. Craftsmanship, fit and finishing are excellent. Car arrived in perfect condition. Just an amazing value, nice being in a full-size vehicle that runs on regular. The V6 is quiet and has lots of pep. Lots of room for passengers and all your stuff. While looking iver the car throoughly, Dennis was there the whole time tk answer any questions I had as well. The test drive route Dennis knew was also a thorough route that really allowed me to get to know the car. The car itself was in fantastic condition and was reasonably priced, so you’re not going to pay too much for what you’re looking at. Lastly, when picking up the car and completing all the paperwork, it’s a straightforward process with no hidden or surprise fees, very simple. Overall, I’d highly recommend this dealer to anyone interested in used European cars as they’re just a fantastic dealer to work with.
2017 BMW X1 review
This is an update from my February 1, 2019 review. I have now owned the vehicle for nearly seven years. I’ve personally driven nearly 20,000 miles in it. The vehicle now has nearly 50,000 miles on the odometer. I purchased it certified pre-owned from a BMW dealership. I have maintained the vehicle to manufacturer specifications. I have only paid for routine maintenance. I have paid for zero repairs. My previous review is confirmed. Full disclosure, two repairs were covered under warranty by the BMW dealership when I purchased the vehicle and one other repair was performed by a different BMW dealership due to their mistake during a routine service.

I bought my Fj cruiser 13 months ago. It was a great experience, from start to finish. Medi was great to deal with, worked with me to get me into the car. Connie was amazing with getting my financing in place. The whole process was quick and painless, which was unexpected, I was even able to drive it home the same day. The car is a beautiful bright red FJ, 2012 Trail teams edition, with 55k miles on it, and it still looks brand new. It is the best car I have ever owned, new or used. It has had no issues at all and runs like a dream. The 4x4 worked extremely well in the snow and on the beach this year. I would def recommend this dealership. A side note, A friend bought a 2011 FJ with 20,000 less miles, from a DIFFERENT dealership, for the same money, 1 month before I bought this, in comparing the undercarriages, hers has a concerning amount of rust, mine has almost none. Medi definitely goes for quality and has pride in the cars he sells. I would def work with Auto excellence group again.

2017 Kia Sportage review
My 2017 has 38,000 miles on it and not one service call, other than normal maintenance. It's one of the quietest cars I've driven, including some newer and the ride is outstanding. The 2.4 engine deliver and amazing amount of power when you need it and highways speeds are quiet and comfortable. Admittedly, I'm a Kia fan boy, mostly due to this car. I would always recommend a Kia product

2025 Mazda CX-50 review
I am very happy with my purchase. I already owned a 2018 CX-5 and it never gave me any problems so I had no qualms about purchasing another Mazda. I went with the CX-50 Turbo Premium Plus for the horsepower and the extra perks (i.e. automatic folding mirrors, and I like that the side mirrors also turn down to see the curb when parking, front AND rear cameras, panoramic sun/moonroof, speed display in windshield, heated and ventilated cooling seats, and a 12-speaker Bose Stereo system). I love the extra power of the Turbocharged engine that my CX-5 doesn't have. The things I don't care for: 1) the retractable cargo cover (a $250 addl charge) doesn't attack to the lift (like my CX-5 does. It's much more convenient if it's attached so there's no pulling it out each time you need to put something in the trunk; 2) I don't like that I have to turn off the automatic shut off of the engine at stops and that I have to turn it off every time I get in the car. I'd like there to be an option to turn it off indefinitely unless and until I want to turn it on; 3) I would also love it if the driver and front passenger seats raised a bit higher. I'm not short but I would feel more comfortable if the seat height lifted another couple of inches. Overall, I really love my car. The steering is tight and the ride is more comfortable than I expected, and the inside of the cab is quiet and the stereo is premium. The seats are attractive with the light colored stitching to accent the seats. Because of all the features in my model, I got a lot of bang for my buck as opposed to a more expensive car costing $20K more for all the same features with Mazda reliability as well as more reasonable/affordable maintenance costs. I had a BMW several years ago and, once out of warranty, the maintenance is ridiculously costly. Additionally, the service department at the dealership where I purchased my car is top notch and the transparency for maintenance is appreciated! In the last 7 years of owning a Mazda, I have never had a bad experience.

2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 review
The Ioniq 5 is the safest and most comfortable car I've ever driven. Now that I have a Tesla charging adapter, the charging infrastructure is less of a challenge and my range-seasonal variations from 190 to 290 miles-is sufficient. I have had an issue with the 12-volt battery unexpectedly failing but otherwise the car has been extraordinarily dependable.
