2024 Volkswagen Taos review

Heated seats, heated steering wheel, back up cam, lane assist, smart cruise control. I went from a 2013 Outlander Sport, which I loved btw, and let me tell you quite the upgrade!

2022 Volkswagen Taos review
I bought the 22 model in Apr of 22 and had it about a year and the ac compressor went out. It took them a couple of months to get one and when they did they found that it had metal shavings all in the lines so they had to replace everything in the circuit. They gave us a loaner car for two weeks and so far it’s been working fine. Have had a couple of software updates so far but no other issues. Have just turned 10,000 miles. The transmission is jerky so I basically drive it around in sport mode to keep it from dropping into the highway gear. Overall we like it

2025 MINI Countryman review
I have had my Countryman S for about 7 months and 2000 miles (I have two other cars). It’s Chili Red with Petrol Blue interior. My favorite points are 1. The interior. If you love interesting fun interiors as I do then you will love it. If you try to avoid black interiors and exteriors you eliminate 90% of the cars other make. With Mini, you can get perhaps the most fun interiors anywhere and the Vescin seems comfortable enough. Just with they had ventilated seats. 2. Power, FINALLY Mini got a full BMW tune given you pay about the same price. It is plenty quick and I get 33-36mpg on the highway all the time. Drops much lower zooming around town. 3. Appearance and layout. I like the unique appearance, low roof line for kayaks and plenty of room for the kind of car it is. Negatives: 1. Electronics. Had several updates since I bought it and it has improved a lot but will take some getting used to. Use the favorites menu. Everything is pretty much forced onto the center screen. Sometimes Mini does things to be cute rather than practical. Rather than a start button it uses a flag toggle key you turn off and on like an old fashioned key. If you have to change cars like I do it’s confusing. 2. Center console. Basically, there is not one. There’s a little clam shaped compartment the size of a clutch purse. The armrest doesn’t open. Wasted potential. You will hate this if you are used to piling layers of stuff in a huge center console. Glove box is minimal, too. Neutral. 1. There’s no screen behind the wheel but there is a heads up display. Frankly, after awhile I don’t miss it at all. The heads up is excellent but it takes a little getting used to. 2. Suspension is a bit stiff like all Mini’s. Makes it sporty but trade off is feeling most road imperfections. It does take the top off bumps well but it’s a trade off. In summary, the reliability has been good AFTER the electronics updates and most things work well. It is just so fun to drive and look at inside and out that really I am not sure what I’d rather drive. You might cross shop the BMW X1 and see which works better for you. You cannot beat Mini interiors though for just pure fun and the driving matches on what is a practical Mini for a family. Oh, I got it to tow a camper but I have yet to do that. That is a great new addition in my book. I will probably get a kayak trailer.

2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport review
The Outlander Sport is a fabulous CUV that is underrated. The handling and ride are perfect and does 0-60 in 7.7 seconds. The interior space is generous and attractive. The maintenance is simple to do. I change the oil and transmission service myself. The structure is solid and creak free. The car was a steal even in the sel trim.

Buying a used car is almost always a gamble for both the buyer and the dealer. In my opinion, this is a pretty trustworthy place, and they've been doing it for 38 years. Longevity for a used car business is commendable. I bought from out of state, unseen, except through a virtual tour through Lance to my satisfaction. First, they drove me to/from Enterprise where I dropped off my one-way rental, and took me to the tag/notary place. After inspecting the truck, everything was as expected other than a pretty good oil spot under the pan. Concerning, of course. Without hesitation, they pulled it to the back, diagnosed the problem quickly, repaired it, and I was able to make the 6 hour return trip trouble free in my new (used) truck. Bottom line: they were honest, fair-priced, friendly, and went out of their way for me. Something might happen to my used truck over time, but it will not be because of them. They impressed me thoroughly! Thanks Lance, Steve, and Doug!

2024 Kia Seltos review
I love my cute little Seltos! As a minivan mom of 19 years, it's been fun to switch it up. It has a sporty look yet is still practical enough to let my teenagers drive it. A couple things I wish the Seltos had that my basic minivan had (and probably available in other models): The driver side window doesn't roll up all the way without me holding onto the button the whole time. Definitely not a deal breaker, but I guess I used it in the van because I keep trying to do it in the Seltos. My biggest complaint is about SiriusXM. I know cars are starting to not even offer it, so I should be happy I still have it. My no frills, basic minivan's Sirius radio had it where you could select from three different screens. 1: The station name 2: The artist name 3: The song name. I loved being able to see a list of 6 artists per screen with 4 different screens and selecting the artist I wanted to listen to. It also let me save up to 40 of my favorite artists/songs, and whenever that artist or song played, it would let me know and I could switch stations to listen to. I used this often. The Seltos does not offer this. I can just see a list of stations playing. Of course I can see what artist and song are playing on the station I'm currently on, but it doesn't show me what's playing on the other stations. If anyone knows how to change this, let me know! I've spent quite a lot of time looking into this. This may be the end of my Sirius subscription because of this set up. 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport review
We bought our 2022 Outlander sport GT in august of 2022… when we compared feature for feature with the other small crossovers, this was our favorite.. it looks nice , has plenty of power and is comfortable on long trips . We took it to the snowy range and it handled the mountains with ease. This is our first brand new car and we are “ seasoned citizens “ So the warranty was also a big selling point . We are super happy with it . Planning on this being tje last car we buy !! I am confident ot will last a long time !

2023 Volkswagen Taos review
Our 2022 Taos is almost 2 years old with about 21K mileage. Very satisfied with our car. For the price point (25K) it provides good handling, a comfortable ride and great interior space for a subcompact SUV. The gas mileage is amazing at over 40 MPG on the highway and about 30 MPG tooling around town. Couldn't be happier!

2025 Honda HR-V review
Love the car....I have 2 concerns. First, the driver's seat is not comfortable (this is my wife's car) ....the other seats are fine. This is weird. We have the all wheeled drive version. It loves gasoline !!! My Toyota Corolla gets 38-40 mpg with a smaller but peppier engine. This HR-V Gets between 25-28.....not sure why. HOWEVER. This car drives like a dream... VERY SMOOTH. Love the car !!!

2025 Mazda CX-30 review
Owned the car 5 months. Very happy with interior comfort and the stowing/storage space in the rear. The sound system is impressive. Took a little time to become accustomed to the entertainment system but I just needed experience. Good road handling in the winter. Practically no road noise. Not sure why the low ratings/reviews on other sites. I had the most positive buying experience ever for a car. John Vickery and Eric Olivieri are top notch professionals. I was looking for a late model/low mileage pre-owned vehicle; I had narrowed it down to the 2013 CRV EX-L. They had one just taken in via trade with low miles, loaded and in great condition. I came all the way down from Northern NJ. I had also located similar vehicles at other Phila dealers but they were all too pushy. The experience here was low key and easy. I arranged my own financing and when I came down to pick up the car- I was out in 75 minutes- not once did they try to pressure or up sell other add-ons. I can wholeheartedly recommend the buying experience at Fred Beans. Would not hesitate to do so again.
2023 Volkswagen Taos review
2023 Taos really fits. Even having the S model. The SUV looks slick! Gas mileage is pretty darn good! And the response for a 4 cylinder is great! Really happy with my purchase! Best looking SUV youll find in the $25k-$30k area!

2025 BMW X1 review
Vehicle is a strong performer (no surprise here given its "M" designation. No disapointments in that regard. Sport seats are very supportive; especially with the lumbar support adjustability. Cabin tech is abysmal though. Not at all intuitive; functions nested down menus where you would never expect them. Owners manual is 480 pages! Really ! While the vehicle makes me smile quite often the complexity of the cabin tech has me cursing every time I start the vehicle. The so-called "Genius" program help line only works Mon. - Fri. Central time in the US! Not too happy about that either.
