2023 Toyota RAV4 review
I recently purchased a 2023 RAV4 Hybrid and love the car in general. That said, I have one major complaint. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I was using my iPhone connected to the Multi-media screen through CarPlay, when the iPhone maps app disappeared and I got a splash screen saying “Experience Toyota Drive Connect.” There was no way to exit this screen apart from pulling over and restarting the car and reconnecting the iPhone. I googled this issue and saw various possible solutions, but none worked. I called Toyota and after multiple delays, was told that the only way to get rid of this screen is to purchase a subscription to “Go Anywhere” which includes Drive Connect and Remote Connect. The cost is $15 per month, plus whatever tax you pay in your locale. While Go Anywhere has some nice features, it should be an option, not a mandated purchase to utilize CarPlay. It seems to me that this is essentially extortion, forcing owners to purchase a subscription in order to use CarPlay. This is beneath the high standards of Toyota. I’m sure that Toyota could disable this splashscreen easily should they so desire.

Unfortunately a car accident forced me to recently go car shopping. Asheboro Honda was my first stop, I am so grateful I did not waste my time (and money) elsewhere. Best experience I have ever had buying a car. Welcomed warmly by a helpful but not “pushy” salesman. Very knowledgeable about the cars on the lot, new and used. I went with the intent of looking for a nice used car but ended up buying a new one. First new car I had purchased since my very first car in 1972! Again I was not pushed towards a new car, the salesman was polite and extremely respectful… sensing my nervousness over buying new. I was never made to feel rushed to make a decision. The financial process was just as relaxed. Very polite young man, knew his job well and the procedure went smoothly and quickly. I have never owned a Honda and I feel sure I will never own anything else! Warranties are excellent selling point! I have had the car a couple months now and I love it even more than that first test drive. The “as needed” free car washes are a nice added benefit. 2023 Toyota RAV4 review
Great Car! I bought used only 10,000 miles. Lots of room inside, easy to keep clean, and great turning radius - barely use one hand to turn completely around. I see people turning with 2 hands and leaning! Not the Rav - you just guide it. Always starts, low idle, quiet, and everything adjustable. I had another Rav, and I won't change now.
