Byers Imports/Jim Hedges | A Fantastic Experience

Unlike my husband, purchasing a car is not my idea of a good time. Quite the contrary, I find it stressful and unnecessarily tedious. Those conclusions were drawn prior to my most recent experience at Byers Imports with the very affable and knowledgeable JIM HEDGES. Simply put, Jim is an incredible sales associate. He was tremendously knowledgeable about the car and quite deft at reading the customer – namely me. I arrived knowing what I wanted, and he respected that fact as well as my time. He quickly organized my test drive, and I was off in my lovely little white Volkswagen Beetle convertible: Her name is Ginger.
The back-and-forth negotiation was concluded quite quickly, and Jim was a pro from start to finish – patient, passionate about his craft, and personable. To be honest, I owned a 2002 Passat and swore that I would never own another Volkswagen: It was the worst car I have ever owned. That said, Jim inspired my confidence in the brand and the company’s dedication to standing behind its product. Certainly, this quelled my trepidation, and, now Ginger and I are getting along just fabulously.
Allow me to close with this vignette: During a recent organizational culture training course, the instructor said, “Please stand if you have ever purchased a car.” Everyone in the class stood up. “Please remaining standing if you would buy the same car.” About half of the class sat down, including me. “Remain standing if you would return to the same dealership.” Again, several sat down. “Remain standing if you would return to the same sales associate.” By this time, only a handful of attendees were left standing. If I had been asked this series of questions after my recent car purchase with Jim Hedges, I would have been among those standing once the final question had been asked. He was outstanding, and I will definitely be keeping his information in my contacts.
