From the moment I walked into Hawthorne Motors Express back in April 2026, everyone made me feel genuinely welcomed. It wasn’t long before I realized that this wasn’t just another car dealership, it was a small, very family-owned business run by people who truly care about what they do and the customers who walk through their doors. I could immediately tell that Haas, the father, was a good and honest person who takes real pride in the quality and value of his vehicles. Vicky, the mother, is soft-spoken, kind, and always ready to help with whatever you need. Mike is one hell of a salesman! He always gave me options, listened to what I was looking for, and even kept me in mind whenever a new vehicle hit the lot. And Sara, she is absolutely amazing at what she does. As someone with challenging credit, Sara did everything she possibly could to help me get approved, working with different lenders and continuing to try for me. When you have challenging credit, it can be extremely difficult and discouraging trying to get a vehicle. After going to so many big-name dealerships and constantly being told no, you really start to lose hope. That was around the time I walked into Hawthorne Motors Express. Looking back, it honestly feels like every place I went to before them led me right to Hawthorne Motors Express. It just made sense. One thing I can confidently say is that the quality of their vehicles speaks for itself. The cars I have seen and driven have been in exceptionally good condition. They drive amazingly, aren’t sitting at insanely high mileage, and they have relatively newer vehicles with fair price tags to match. I will always root for Hawthorne Motors Express, and I will always recommend my family and friends come here when looking for their next vehicle. This family has genuinely become friends of mine. 2016 Volvo XC90 review
Great awesome cars in every aspect, comfort, performance, handling, smoothness, features, reliability (not in some models though) and especially safety. You get the best bang for your buck in Volvos. Only thing I would say is to stay away from the XC90 T6 (petrol engines) from 2015 - 2016. (Not sure if 2017 has these problems, as I havnt experienced anything from the 2017 models) I sell many of these Volvos But the petrol XC90s T6 from 2015 - 2016 are very unreliable because of being the first year of these models when they first came out. Had many experiences with failing superchargers ($4k to fix ) evaporator failing ($5k to fix) and also these engines have a known fault that the pistons don’t inbed in properly in some of the engines and it burns massive amount of oil. (Did a test in a customers car, was burning about 2L of oil every 1000km) Also comes with a few hiccups here and there with coolant leaks, and oil leaks etc. I’ve never had a problem with the XC90 D5 (diesel engines) as they seems much better because they don’t have the engines failing or a supercharger in these models. This have the failing evaporator but this item was the least part failing out of everything I mentioned. I hope this information has helped out some people who are deciding to purchase a Volvo 😊

2019 Volvo XC90 review
This is my fifth Volvo. My most important feature in any car is safety, and this car is SAFE. It is super comfortable, reliable, attractive, and an all around great car. I had XC70's until this XC90. It was tough to switch, but I'm so happy. My only disappointment is that I have two big dogs and they can't both fit in the way back comfortably, so I have a crate in the way back and a crate in the middle with two seats folded down (one up for a passenger). Otherwise, it's a "10." No issues at all at 4 years in.

2017 Volvo XC90 review
I loved my XC90 but traded it due to the cost of fuel. I drive 40 miles a day roundtrip to work. I would easily go through a tank of gas in four days. Best mileage I ever got was about 22 highway. The XC90 is a heavy SUV and shaped like a block. Not a lot of aerodynamics. As for comfort and luxury you can't go wrong the XC 90 is pure luxury and has great pickup and handling. Just be aware the mileage is not good.

2008 Volvo XC90 review
Very happy with the XC90. Finding more reasons to like it every time I drive it. Car feels solid and safe. Stepping on the gas gives it a fast start off the line. Purchases it pre-owned,brakes chattered a little. So soon after had both brakes done, now it stopes beautifully, no noise, no vereing, no problems. My last vehicle was a Honda CRV. The hood is bigger and took some getting used to. I was not crazy about spending 81 dollars to fill up and top off the tank. But I am still on the first tank(little less than 1/2 a tank left) I never thought I would ever be able to afford or drive a Volvo in my life time,but I am! Living the dream!

2008 Volvo XC90 review
XC90 V8 is a phenomenal value for the money. Bought used XC90 V8 exactly one year ago, and we put over 20k miles on it so far (with a couple hundred of those being hard desert off roading). Fantastic vehicle and is surprisingly fuel efficient for a V8 SUV. We average 19 MPG on road trips and 15 MPG for around town. Very comfortable cruiser.

2019 Volvo XC90 review
Volvo is known for safety and this one delivers with all the latest safety features. But it also adds performance with a combination of supercharging for power off the line, with turbocharging to add power in mid range. Together they deliver performance similar to a V8 with a lot better mpg. The interior is very modern and tasteful. Seats very comfortable. We opted for the air suspension system which really makes a difference in our area with rough roads. I'd recommend it to anyone. Also added the high performance sound system from Bowers and Wilkins. I did not think I wanted to pay up for it, but once I heard it I couldn't pass it up. Many great tech features like Pilot Assist (auto drive), cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, auto park, etc. Recommend the T6 level powertrain, the Air Suspension, and if you can swing it, the Bowers and Wilkins sound system.

2017 Volvo XC90 review
Volvo proves they know luxury. This is the most amazing technologically I have ever driven. The horsepower from the supercharged 4-cylinder blows me away. Easily manages the entire family. Plenty of room. Convenient features abound. The semi-autonomous driving with adaptive cruise is amazing. And the best touchscreen in any car I've ever been in by far.

2011 Volvo XC90 review
We bought a used 2011 Volvo XC90 (170K mls.) for our teenagers and are very pleased with conditions of the exterior, comfort of the ride and power of the car. The previous owners did a good job at keeping up with the maintenance and had new tires recently added before they sold it. We did have to address some repairs within a few weeks but it was to be expected. Very solid car with a great reputation for safety.

2017 Volvo XC90 review
I've owned this car for just over three years and this past weekend I crossed the 40k mile mark and if I was to go back and but this car at 40K miles, it probably would look and drive just like how I'd feel if I was buying this car today. It looks and feels just as new, and I could not be happier. Its a great looking car, I've clicked a million pictures of it and thought its been three years, it looks great and fresh and I'm sure, it will age really well. The design still looks just as new and will continue to look trendy a few years down the lane as well. The engine seems a little under-powered at times because at the end of the day its a mere 2-litre V-4 engine, but otherwise, the performance is decent. Its an extremely comfortable family SUV and in 5 seat mode it has loads of cargo capability. All in all its a great vehicle.
