2017 Volvo V60 Cross Country review
This is a well-designed and solidly built car. It is just what we needed for road trips, recreation exploration and zipping around town. Plenty of room for the size we were looking for. The front console is a little busy, but this is our first Volvo so we just need to adapt to the new layout.

2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
Review: Living With 3 Chevy Bolt EVs for past 6 years Owning three Chevy Bolt EVs has been one of the smartest financial and practical decisions we’ve made. Each year, we’re saving $6,000–$7,000 combined on fuel and maintenance compared to when we drove gasoline cars. We get about 250-300 miles of range depending on heat and AC use. We bought them used around $20k each, had batteries replaced in 2020 so 100,000 mile warranty, can't beat it! Charging at Home Is Simple, either use 110v and charge overnight or upgrade 220v dryer plug We picked up a Level 2 home charger for about $150 on Amazon. Installing and running it is as simple as hooking up clothes dryer. The charger just uses a standard 240V outlet, and the energy demand is nothing unusual for a typical household. Pulls same amount of power as microwave or toaster oven. Real Cost to Charge Let’s run the math: Electric rate: $0.10 per kWh Efficiency: ~4.5 miles per kWh Monthly driving: 2,000 miles each car That works out to: 2,000 miles at 4.5miles/kW at 10cents/kW= $44/month So for just $44 a month, each Bolt drives 2,000 miles. Compare that to a gas car at 30 MPG and $3.50/gallon: 2,000 miles at 30MPG= 66.7gals times $3.50 = $233/month That’s nearly $190/month in savings per car, just on fuel. Multiply that by 3 cars and a full year, and the numbers quickly add up. Maintenance Savings Beyond the fuel savings, the Bolt EVs don’t need oil changes, transmission services, or exhaust system repairs. Brake wear is minimal thanks to regenerative braking. For us, the maintenance costs dropped to little more than tire rotations (free at Discount Tire), washer fluid and cabin air filters. Final Thoughts Switching to the Chevy Bolt has been a financial win and a stress reliever. Charging at home is as easy as running a kitchen appliance, and the cost per mile is dramatically lower. With three Bolts in the household, the yearly savings of $6,000–$7,000 speak for themselves, that over $40,000 in savings!

2015 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen review
We purchased a used TDI with 50K miles. now has over 150K and have only done oil changes and fuel filter. Only necessary repair was the HVAC blower motor just recently failed. Incredibly reliable car. Diesel engine paired with the 6 speed automatic trans delivers awesome torque whenever you need it. 50+ mpg on hwy trips and averaging 39 mpg commuting. The interior is obviously not luxurious but comfortable enough to keep you happy. I should mention the Stereo system and bluetooth is unreliable. Powers itself on and off at random and will require repair. The cargo area is surprisingly large when the seats are folded down as well.

2017 Volkswagen Golf review
I have a 130k on mine and it runs better than a Swiss watch. No major issues, ever! comfortable, fast and easy on fuel. It has everything that I need and nothing that I do not. I went to Carmax on 4th of July. The place was not super packed, so that was great. We had a little 9th month old on tow, and were nervous that it would take us all day to shop. The only thing that took a lot of time was waiting for a sales man. Apparently, the new young guys at the front were more interested in flirting (yes flirting) with each other and playing around than realizing that we needed help or just plainly asking us if we were being helped. That really bothered me, as we wasted 30 mins just sitting dumb. The front desk girl was no help.. she was the one to tell us to sit and wait and then no where to be seen. Finally someone professional and extremely courteous walked by ... the service manager. He quickly apologized for our wait, and brought along Daniel Claudio. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOooooO thankful he did. Danny was professional, kind, humble, hard-working, and just all the way a pleasure to work with. He represented Carmax the way it should be. He took the details of what we were looking for and walked us around to cars that would fit our needs. The second car (nissan pathfinder) was a recommendation from him... and that was the car we bought. Danny if you're reading this... THANK YOU! I was able to take my time in selecting my vehicle and was given accurate pricing info as I had already did my research for the car I was interested in. I wasn't pushed into a car I didn't want or desire after I decline to purchase the original car I went to the dealership to test drive. The associate took the time to look through the online lists of cars within a 150 miles of his dealership and after locating a car that I liked he was able to have the car transferred in from another state free of charge. I was called when the car arrived and made an appointment to check it out and I made a purchase.
2017 Kia Soul review
I have owned a Kia Soul Brownstone Edition for 6 years now. It hasn't given us any issues aside from a brake ABS failure in warranty. However, since Kia skimped out on immobilizers, I wouldn't get one without push button start, which is most of them, unfortunately. While they extended the warranty on the engine, they have plenty of fundamental issues with it, and also, my Kia after 4 years, has noises in front and back suspension sway bars, and the strut tower bearings make noise. While these don't need to be fixed, they make the car sound like crap. I just drove a 2019 Kona with the same amount of miles, and the suspension on that was just fine. Might be due to the larger wheels and smaller profile tires, I don't know. If Kia ever sells the EV soul in the US, I'd get that. So far, they've been good.

2014 Toyota Prius v review
So my wife picked it out Nov 2014. I was a little apprehensive, but the price was right. It had 9miles and we now have 50,056. The only issue was the front air dam between the wheels. Pull to close to the parking block and it will tear off when you back out. Never bothered to replace it. With gas on the rise our timming was really good. I'd get another V but it was discontinued. Versatile is a perfect description for it. Happy shopping 😁 It really handy size wise and mileage is super.

2017 Volvo V60 review
I bought the car used from a non-Volvo dealer. I have not been driving much due to the pandemic, but a couple of computer glitches have arisen. I took the car into a Volvo dealer for service on the issue, thank goodness the car is still under warranty. The problem with the auto start-stop feature wasn't working, it was "fixed" but the problem has reoccurred intermittently. And now the side mirrors are not retracting upon shutdown... that isn't good.

2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack review
The BEST daily driver I own a 17’ S, and I love it. Holds all my stuff, holds 2 dogs, can put a ski box on top, and best of all, it shares a platform with the GTI. I’ve put many performance parts on and it makes this thing a blast to drive. All while getting me to 150k+ with zero major issues! (Owned for 50k)

Poor and deceitful. Gave me an impression of a car in good condition but later found out that what they said was not true. Vehicle had taillight issues, engine oil at 50% brake pads and rotos messed up transmission fluid was not changed either. Car vibrates during stops. I was told something could be worked out if any issues but that is not true. No one answers the phone nor reply to text messages. Both the finance manager and the salespersons lied to me and that's not good for a business. Now i am stock with an issue that could have been avoided in the first place had they told me the truth.
2015 Volvo XC70 review
The XC70 is an great all-around wagon. More versatile than a crossover with much better styling. I have the T6 turbo six-cylinder which is smooth and very torquey, though fuel economy is mediocre. All wheel drive works well and inspires confidence in foul weather. The ride is cushy and soft but handling can feel a bit floaty. Handsome and roomy interior that easily fits two car seats and.a booster, something that many crossovers can’t do. The front seats are the most comfortable I’ve ever sat in. Tech is pretty good— no Apple CarPlay but it’ll do everything else you need it to. Awesome car, I wish Volvo still made them.

2003 Mazda Protege5 review
So I paid 1.500 for my 2003 mazda protege5 hatchback 2.0l amazing car it had 147000 miles on it when I got it I done your basic upgrades but I had to replace o2 sensor master clutch cylinder and slave cylinder brake caliper and pads lower control arms and I did do a complete flush and fluid replacement I've put cold air intake speed shifter e break upgrade and it does like to kick out of 3rd so I still need to replace the throw out bearings and syncro bearing but still it's a daily driver handling is out of this world by far the best car I've ever driven

2009 Scion xB review
I've had this car for 2 years with my dealer and only had one issue replacing the throttle body. Big expense but worth it. Easy to maintain car. Mostly electric is some areas but I love the worker bee approach for the car. Small but roomy. I still prefer the Nissan cube but this one is close. I'm on the plus size side so roominess is important. There just aren't enough cup holders lol.
