I took delivery of my 2026 Suburban Z71 (6.2L, custom Borla exhaust, red tintcoat) from John Elway Chevrolet on 23 October 2025, and I can say without hesitation that this was one of the best vehicle purchase experiences I?ve ever had. My journey with this dealership started way back in July 2025, when I first tried to buy a similar vehicle. That original deal didn?t work out, but Trevor (Internet Sales Manager) never dropped the ball. He stayed in touch, helped me custom-build the exact Suburban I wanted, and kept every promise, from the guaranteed price to a very fair-trade value on a challenging trade. Throughout the entire process, Trevor?s communication, communication, communication made all the difference. He kept me updated at every step as the vehicle moved through production and delivery. On delivery day, I met Amanda, who made what could have been an overwhelming tech setup feel effortless. She walked me through every performance and technology feature, connected my OnStar account, synced Apple CarPlay, and ensured I understood all the apps and settings before driving off the lot. Her professionalism and enthusiasm turned the delivery into a great experience. Daniel (F&I Manager) was equally professional, direct and knowledgeable when discussing warranty options, but respectful when I declined. The entire process was efficient, transparent, and team-oriented, which I deeply appreciate as a former military officer who values teamwork and integrity. When I left the dealership, my new Suburban was spotless, fully set up, and ready for a long drive south to Texas. I?ve bought many vehicles in my life, and I usually ask dealers not to put their decal on the back. This time, though, I left the Elway football logo right where it belongs. It?s a reminder of a team that truly earned my trust and my business. I not only recommend this team, would actively seek them out again in the future. 2017 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen review
Purchased used S 5-speed manual with 33,000 miles on it about four years back. Just passed 100,000 miles last month. Only one problem so far, with the passenger door latch assembly. We get about 37 MPG mixed city and highway, and 45-50 MPG in interstate highway driving. FWD and snow tires work fine here in Wisconsin. The turbo motor and 5-speed provide all of the acceleration one will *actually* need, and also provide those great economy numbers. As part of the Golf platform, it's a solid car and the handling is good. The ride comfort is also good, maybe enhanced by the taller 16" tires on the S version. Simple controls, without an overly complicated radio / info system. Manual ventilation controls (knobs) are a huge plus. With the rear seats down, it has about the same cargo space as our 2009 Subaru Outback: little narrower but also a little longer. Good outward visibility. Driver seat can get a little tiring after a long drive (4 hours or more) but it's comparable with other highway vehicles we've owned. Reasonably quiet inside considering it's essentially an economy vehicle. A very nice economy vehicle, though. We like it enough that we're considering getting another one before there are no more good wagons in the market.

2015 Subaru Outback review
I bought used in 2023 a 2015 premium with 214k miles. I drove it 6k miles and only replaced the CV axle, this isn't impressive sounding but it was going through constant , aggressive off reading due to the rough road conditions I had to use because I live in the rocky mountains. I got in a rollover a 60 mph and I had no injuries, airbags kept me safe. Fuel economy was dismal with 21 in the city and 24 in the highway, safety and reliability are top tier, power was surprisingly adequate, the Bluetooth was appreciated and all the safety tech and other tech was very useable and helpful and accurate. Love the car would buy it again if I had the chance

2014 Toyota Prius v review
The Prius was discontinued worldwide as of this year and was no longer sold in North America in 2019. It is a shame because it is an excellent car. MY car is close to 100K miles and I never had any problem with it. It was dealer maintained since buying it new in 2014. It is my second Prius V. The plus: - Fuel Economy: the car averages 40 mpg in the summer. I have managed at times to average between 25 and 27 mpg). The fuel economy drops during the winter which is normal for any car partially running on battery as batteries lose of their efficiency during the winter. - Versatility: The Prius V is a real Swiss Army knife. It can be used as a staion wagon, a crossover, a sedan. Used as a station wagon with the rear seats down, I can fit in more things than in our brand new Honda CRV. It also carries five adults on long distance trips in a very comfortable fashion. - Comfort: The car is amazingly comfortable on long distance driving. I have done a number of long distance trips (New England to Florida, DC to NYC to Boston to NH etc) and I was never tired. The seating position is very good, the driver's seat is adjustable (height, depth, seat back ) and it has an inflatable lumbar support which is very nice. - Heated outside mirrors: This may seem like nothing but it is essential in the Northern States as in New England during snow season. - Audio system and controls are good and ergonomically well designed. - GOod package in my car (I have the 2014 Prius V 3). BT, rear camera, all air bags, GPS etc. - Plenty of storage in doors, in the storage bin between the front seats, and in the double glove box compartments. - Good road handling. -Good acceleration when in Power mode. - Relatively quiet below 55-60 mph. IN fact the car is totally silent below 10 mpg especially when running in electric mode. Between 20 and 55 mpg, the car is very quiet for an hybrid. - Reliability. It is one of the most reliable cars I ever owned in 48 years. - Retail value as a used car. According to all specialized car sites, it is one of the best value in used cars. - Longevity: A Prius V will go well over 200K miles with no problem. I have read that the main battery should be changed at around 140 K miles but from what I read it has been seldom the case for most users. The minus: - Noise at high speeds: forget about listening to any soft audio above 60 mph. It is not loud as it would be in a smaller car such as a Honda Fit or any car that size. It is noisy but not extreme. Two people on the front can have a normal conversation without having to speak loudly. Some noise is expected as compromises had to be made with sonic insulation in order to reduce the weight and therefore improve the fuel economy. - Traction in winter time: Unless equipped with very good snow tires forget about trying to climb icy hills with this car. I was stuck half the way up three years ago in such a hill in Arlington, MA. It was scary. I was stuck once on a small snow drift. In typical New Englander way, I tried to get out by moving forward and backward repeatedly. Normally I should have been able to get out in no time. With the Prius V (I assume as with all the Priuses), there is no torque as when the car is idled, the electric motor is used and not the gas engine. Trying to move the car is impossible. As soon as one of the wheels, front of back senses the smallest slipping, it stops spinning. It is very aggravating. This being said, I have used the car for six winters in the Boston area and in NH with no problems otherwise. Driving on snow is typical of a front wheel drive. On heavily snowed in highways, I found the Prius V having a better handling that many cars around me. - Paint: The car gets scratched very easily. I assume that Toyota cut down in the number of coats of paint applied in order to save weight. - Fragile front and rear bumpers: On model years 1912 to 1915 any small shock front or back will damage the bumper. This was addressed in a redesigned of the car in 2017. - The stock light bulbs are not powerful enough. This is due to the double design of the headlights in the 2012-2016. There are two different sockets and casing for low and high beans. The casing aperture for the low beans is very small. I add to put in high intensity bulbs to be able to see anything on the road. This was also addressed in the post 2016 models. Excellent car.

I bought my car with the Auto Armor Package and Javier did an amazing job at making sure everything looked beautiful and my car was done right. When things didn't look perfect to him the first time, he actually stopped me and asked if they could try again. I was blown away by the fact that he didn't just let me go because it is something that I may not have noticed. 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack review
I drove a Golf TSI for years and absolutely loved it. Never wanted drive a different car as long as Iived. Then I had a kid(which is is tight with a golf) and someone pulled out in front of me and it got totalled. I took the money and upgraded to the Alltrack because its basically the same car with more room and AWD. Absolutely love it! Gas mileage is significantly lower than my Golf, but it still has some zip. The DSG transmission is like butter. Ill drive this car into the ground.

2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack review
It's fun to drive, versatile with lots of storage space and has reasonably good gas mileage (36 hwy/24 city). It has an amazing turn radius. Somewhat noisy during highway driving and kind of deficient infotainment/safety features. But it's been reliable so far (100k miles). And did I mention fun to drive?

2015 Audi allroad review
I'd been eyeing the old version of the Allroad for so many years so when the new version came out, I had to have it! I can go from a business meeting, to dinner, to the mountains and the car fits the bill. The exterior design is eye catching yet not too flashy. It's sophisticated but yet rugged enough so that you don't worry about getting it dirty on dirt roads because once you hose it down, it'll look like a million bucks again. Power and handling are superior to my wife's Subaru Outback. You can drive it like a sports sedan through canyons and power up mountains with ease. I can fit my road bike w/ only 1 seat folded down, leaving plenty of room for a 3rd person and all our gear. Only issue I have (much like the cars.com reviewer) is with the MMI interface. I feel that BMW's interface was much easier and intuitive. Changing radio stations requires you to look at the screen, therefore taking eyes off road. In addition, changing the fan speed on the air conditioning requires 2 different motions instead of a quick turn of the knob like other cars. Other than that, I love this car and would recommend to active people looking for an upscale and fun car at a relatively decent price.
