I had major work done on my car and I couldn?t be happier with the turnout. I had my transmission replaced along with a couple other issues on my 2017 vehicle. It took a while for the entire thing to get completed, but I was given status updates throughout the process. I picked up my vehicle late last night (5:45 pm). I was surprised the service manager was still there and he took the time to go over everything that had been done to my vehicle. The total price was slightly lower than what I was I was told it would be at the start. I was very happy and wasn?t expecting that. My car is driving great today and so far I?m extremely happy with the result from my service experience. I?m very appreciative of the help I was given and the customer service I received. First time I went in, was just looking to see what was on the lot and was greeted, and after that, not another contact with anyone. When I came back to test drive a few vehicles, got a great sales guy. Overall selection of vehicles is quite nice, and most of the vehicles are almost new to very good condition. Though Carmax likes to display the image they sell cars that have or haven't had any issues, you'll find you'll need to look closer. Most are bought at auction after coming off lease or from being a fleet vehicle. Which is a good thing, as you the regular maintenance was done on them and often the vehicles have original warranties still in effect depending on what vehicle you are looking for and what year. The sales guy was low pressure, and when I came in the next day to buy, I was given another one since he was completing a sale on another customer. Wasn't an issue, as he or the guy that took over were truly "car" guys. The liked cars, had sales experience, but weren't "car" guys. The experience was good overall, but the highlight was completing the deal. Paperwork was done quickly (I had preapproval from my credit union with EFT) and finished the paperwork in about twenty minutes. Amazing, got the vehicle at just an average price, but go the mileage I wanted, with original warranty and extended warranty at the price I was willing to pay. SO overall, win for me, and though I was never a Carmax fan (still rubs me the wrong way their colors are almost best buy colors when their parent company was circuit city....). But I will say my mind was changed.

2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek review
Bought my Crosstrek from the dealer, and have owned many cars, raced cars, built cars, and even owned my own auto repair shop. The 2013 was first year out, and yes it has improved over the years so I can't leave a 5-star review. The strong points for me have been reliability and looks. Secondary has been a 4cyl with great gas mileage, and decent performance. Interior noise is a little higher than an SUV like a 4Runner, sound system sucks, and Subaru probably should have mated it with a turbo, but overall it has been a great ride, and Subaru fixed many of these issues in later editions. The AWD is amazing in the rain! For those that have the oil consumption in later years, just add engine "restore", and the issue is solved. Replace your bearing w/ the backing plates, and you should be good to go for another 100K. For the first year out, Subaru did an amazing job.

2014 Toyota Prius v review
So my wife picked it out Nov 2014. I was a little apprehensive, but the price was right. It had 9miles and we now have 50,056. The only issue was the front air dam between the wheels. Pull to close to the parking block and it will tear off when you back out. Never bothered to replace it. With gas on the rise our timming was really good. I'd get another V but it was discontinued. Versatile is a perfect description for it. Happy shopping 😁 It really handy size wise and mileage is super.

2015 Kia Soul review
Our 2015 2.4L Soul has been great. My wife works a split shift, so she commutes to and from work Twice a day. So it gets a lot of highway miles. We also have gone cross country a few times. Always serviced at the dealer (which is more expensive), But it kept the warranty alive. Engine needed replaced at 95K due to oil consumption, but warranty covered it. Now at 220K AC compressor died. But that is the 1st repair we have had to do. Everything else is holding up fine.

2020 Kia Soul review
This is the second sol I have owned and I couldn't be happier. Although both were bought in Tucson Arizona the dealership in Lawrence Kansas has been great. I haven't been notified of a recall on my car I am concerned about the anti theft device I have been hearing about and the oil ring problem in some of the 2020 sols. Just a little worried my car may have this problem. Any info would be great.
