Great experience

Great experience with all at Downtown Ford employees we dealt with. This was a good experience and everyone went out of their way to explain everything and to make this a good experience.

Rude and Impatient

Let me start off with the good. Had an incredible experience with the sales associate Liliana. She was professional, courteous, and patient. Every other individual that I dealt with was ac complete nightmare. Which is why this will be a thorough review. The few times that I had spoke with D'angelo, whether over phone or in person, felt like a total drag. He seemed annoyed that I wanted information regarding the vehicle I had ordered and proceeded to make it my fault when he was unable to contact me(even though he has my email, phone, and voicemail access). I'm pretty sure he was leading my overall vehicle process but was an absolute pain in the xxx to deal with. So much so, that I began not wanting to call and even ask about the progress of my vehicle. When I finally went in to pick up my vehicle, the whole process felt scummy and dishonest. The finance personnel couldn't explain to me the details of an ELO GPS requirement which cost around $800. For some reason there were a ton of added components that I didn't ask for which were forced into the cost of the total vehicle and had a lackluster explanation. When I proceeded to ask questions about the additions, the woman overseeing the financing contract became frustrated. I guess we're expected to just shut up and pay money without understanding what we are paying for right?! On top of that, she showed me my credit score which was incorrect!! I proceeded to pull up my cell phone and show her the correct credit score, at which she became once again frustrated. All in all, the entire experience felt deceitful, frustrating, and downright awful. I was made to feel like a nuisance when I had a question or concern. Ford genuinely needs to find a way to skip the middle man (like Tesla) and shy away from dealers, otherwise risk a tarnished reputation as a result.

bait and switch

With inventory low, finding a car dealer that doesn't take advantage of a the covid situation is tough. Bait and switch is a very real thing and the sales managers are just cold about it. Originally I reached out to Harrold Ford to buy a Used Mustang, this Mustang was listed on their site and while I really wanted to go drive it, the car hasn't passed safety or smog yet so I couldn't even drive it. We tried to negotiate my trade and THEIR WEBSITE said a range of 33-24, I had to beg just to get to 32k on my trade... So a day or so later I get an email from them about a new van listed at MSRP for sale at $29,605.00-- I was super excited because that falls into my price point. I got ahold of the "manager" who gave me a deal and on that deal the price of the car was listed at over $34,000 This is pure dealer mark-up, taking advantage of the pandemic short supply. They wouldn't honor their advertised emailed price and said that there is a "disclaimer on their site" Basically this disclaimer says that regardless of what they advertise they can change this. For the oldest Ford dealer in Sacramento, I really wanted to give my business to but this is just another shady dealer. They will add the markup, they will add things that are "Dealer Installed" like locking lug nuts for $200.00 or a security system for $1400.00 just to squeeze more money from you. They should honor their email advertised price and sell me the van. low balling trade values then marking up over MRSP is Horrible ethical practice

Service department is horrible. Everything takes forever....

Service department is horrible. Everything takes forever. They’ll take your vehicle for days before they’ll work on it. simple tire rotation and oil change takes three hours when your the third car in line in the morning. Hour and twenty minutes into the their start time and not one of the two cars ahead of me has moved.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!

Came to see a used 2015 Ford Focus hatchback 5 Speed Manual today. Called over the phone as I lived an hour away and was told the car was in great condition. Upon arriving I was greeted with friendly smiles and a lot of the smooth salesman convos a lot of people might be familiar with. The salesman kept insisting how good the car was and how they had barely received the car and how through the inspections are with the used vehicles here. So I took the car for a spin and I immediately noticed the car kept grinding when placing it into 3rd gear. Having owned several manual cars I know it’s a bad synchro. As soon as I mentioned this the salesman stayed quiet the whole time. Once arriving back to the dealership, I was pretty upset and said I was no longer interested. The salesman told me to wait, bringing out what I assume was the manager. He soon tried to persuade me on how they can fix it and it’s probably not a big problem, etc, etc. How can the service department/salesman not notice the grind when shifting into 3rd gear. Either someone didn’t do their job when servicing it or I was being lied to the whole time to purchase a car that was clearly defective. Waste of an hour drive, gas and time! Stay away from here!

just so so

We came to this dealer today. We saw the discount online and checked in store they even don’t know that the car is on sale.The first dealer is very good.A young guy named Austin .He is helpful and awesome . But ,when you want to talk more he will introduce you to another dealer which is not helpful .We saw a car that has damage report he said it doesn’t matter ! When you in the parking lot you have been crash another car that will have a damage report.Interesting. Very interesting. We asked him that our budget is 17000 dollars.is there any other cars that we can choose? He might that we don’t have money so he show us 7000dollars cars🙂which makes me feel awful. We have money and we want to buy a car. We go to the store we want to enjoy the service and we do not want to waste time and let you judge us. Actually , If we want we can buy a 50k dollars car.But the dealer really makes me feel terrible. 😀We do a research and go to there want to try a car he said total is around 18000.We showed him kbb, the trade in price is 13000😀.Also another car we tried is around 25000,kbb trade in price is 21000.He showed us kbb typical price is 30000.Let me ask a question,will the dealer sell cars not earn any money?This is a business ,ok? we are both adults ,Please show the customer your honesty .Thank you. Do some research and come here to ask😃

Excellent Service!!!

Downtown Ford Sacramento made purchasing my SUV easy and effortless. They really went the extra mile to make my car buying experience comfortable. Given the pandemic, they allowed the entire process to be virtual. They even sent videos of the suv and dropped it off at my house for the test drive. My car salesman was Jose. Jose is outstanding, curious and responsive. Jose was so helpful in getting questions answered and coordinated everything so well. After purchasing the vehicle, I noticed a couple of small issues and this dealership not only took care of those issues but dropped off a loaner car for me to drive while I had my car worked on. In addition to Jose, I also coordinated with Kayla, Nicole and Allen who were all wonderful. This dealership has integrity and really stands by what they sell. I will be recommending them to all my friends and family.

My family and I were working with another Ford Dealer in Fremont by where we live, however, my experience with them was not the same. I appreciate you guys listening to me and understanding what I was looking for and not just trying to sell me something I didn't want. Your transparency is well appreciated by me and my family.
