We were looking for a specific vehicle and found it on Cars.com. Sewell reached out immediately. I explained this was a purchase for my parents, who were use to driving around from dealer to dealer. I told my Mom and Dad there was an easier way. Will was our sales person and he reached out immediately providing me with all the vehicle info. We agreed to meet with him the next morning . When we arrived at Sewell, Will greeted us and was so friendly and kind. My parents were overwhelmed with the dignity and respect this dealership showed us even though my parent’s barely speak English. They have always been intimidated in high class places but they felt so welcomed- like family. Before you start thinking - Oh it’s because they bought a Rover… no they didn’t , they bought a used Chevy in pristine condition. The most impressive take away is that they didn’t treat us any less than their usual client base. They offered to wash the car and do an oil change and deliver it to her home the next day. All I can say is that Sewell Land Rover North Austin deserves to be recognized for excellent customer service and to thank Will for having the the most genuine care for us. I hope all dealers would learn from this dealership … It’s not always all about the money. I am positively certain the next time I look for a vehicle I won’t be going anywhere else.

Like other reviews I love this car! Comfortable, stylish, it’s inherently a Honda so likely reliable. Gas mileage not great but better than MDX of the past which weren’t nearly as fun to drive! Highly recommend this Acura. Haven’t owned one since I had a 2008 TL but I have the same happy feeling whenever I drive it, now in a very different life stage!

If you want excellent seamless customer service, go to Tony Shine and his staff. He doesn’t have awards for nothing! He proves this in his work and professionalism each and every time! I have experienced his amazing customer service Now with my second purchase, and he went above and beyond for me! I really appreciated it so much! I will always go to Tony, for any future car purchase. I also want to give a big shout out to his assistant “Andrea Jewell” she was so great and helpful and communicated well. I purchase my 2010 TL brand new in June of 2010 fully loaded. It was my first new car purchase. I drove it right off of the show room floor with 8 miles on the odometer. At present (Dec. 2022) it has just over 60,000 miles on it. Just three weeks after my purchase I had to return to the dealership because the car would veer to the left hard. They checked it out and couldn't find what the problem was so they replaced the left front strut to see if that would fix the problem, it did not, too this day (Dec. 2022) it still pulls/veers to the left even with several sets of new tires (Michelins) on it. The handling has been sloppy at best. Its somewhat tiring driving it long distances hence the low millage on it at present. Although I've had it back at Acura for all of its services they still can't tell me why this is happening they've even performed several alignments on the car. There was a recall on a computer chip in the transmission that was causing the engine to rattle, the chip was replaced under warranty but the rattling still manifests at times. The car goes through batteries like crazy in fact one year after I purchased the car the battery went bad and was replaced under warranty since then I've had several Acura batteries installed (just had one install this month Dec.2022). Once major problem I've had is with the oil engine light. It comes on even when the engine oil is full I've learned how to reset the light and had it check by Acura they had no answer for the problem but recommended and I had replaced the Oil Pressure Switch at a cost of $289.85 the problem still exist to date. I had the timing belt replaced and was told by Acura that the oil pump was leaking so they replaced the Spool Valve/O-Ring etc. as well for 600.00 was told by the technician that it would have been over an 800.00 cost had they not saw it when they did. I could go on and on. Bottom line this car has not been cheap to maintain for example along with the timing belt replacement and the oil leak was a cost of $1753.14 in 2019 the car only had 43,595 miles on the odometer. As to the ride, it rides very stiff/hard firm but smooth. I felled to mention that the outside mirrors shakes when you shut the door Acura refused to do anything about it because they stated that's the nature of the car. By now, you may be asking why I'm still driving this car....IT'S PAID FOR! lol. All in all it does most things well, good stereo, pretty quiet ride, roomy, 5 star rating (safe) and somewhat reliable. It's a good first car when brought second hand as long as the car has been taken care of. I must state that the SH/Awd is excellent I have never gotten stuck in the winter weather. At last, I just found out (Dec. 2022) that the navigation system will not be able to be ungraded after 2021 because the upgrade CD's are being discontinued. Hope this review helps someone thinking about purchasing this car used.

I had a 21 TLX advanced with the 2.0 L four-cylinder turbo and in 2023 I traded it for the TLX type S. What a shockingly different car. Granted the car probably has about 75 hp less than it should from the factory but, it’s easy to tune and mine is in the 435 hp range now. It was a great car to begin with and now it’s even better. There are a couple nagging issues with it: the brakes rattle, the Brembo brakes upfront, the pads on the inside, rattle like a bad ball joint whenever you hit a bump. The dealer couldn’t fix the problem and Acura told them “that’s the way it is, they are performance brakes“ well that’s a bunch of hog wash so I fixed it myself. Just an inexpensive shim on the inside pad and all was fixed. There are some long-term issues that IJust an inexpensive shim on the inside pad and all was fixed. There are some long-term issues that I am concerned about: the rear suspension plug for the adaptive suspension can get corroded over overtime and the entire car needs to be stripped apart to replace a wire harness. I haven’t had an issue with this, but I did grease my rear plugs just to be on the safe side. And these cars are known to have transfer case issues, resulting in a transmission replacement. Again, I haven’t had that issue, but the car only has 9000 miles on it. Just things that I am concerned about long-term as it seems Honda/Acura reliability, even though better than anything out there, isn’t what it used to be. But this is a fantastic car! And I would absolutely buy it again.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about my 2021 TLX SH-AWD ASPEC! It is beautiful, sporty, reliable. It drives like a sports car or a luxury sedan while Always looking stylish. Everyone does a double take. The new model looks so much better! This is my 3rd TL/TLX

My TLX type S has to many problems since I bought it … Acura needs to do better breaks make noise, my paint had issues, I have left it at the dealer more then I can count this year and iv only had it for a year

I went to check out the car, was amazed at the condition that it was in. (Interior & exterior), and the car’s mechanical condition was superb. The car salesman Greg Spiciati helped me out so much with everything I wanted to know, and in doing so made the decision to purchase the car much more easier and pleasant. He took care of the financing details and even got a much me a much better quote on the car insurance by calling multiple carriers and doing his magic. Even offered me water or coffee multiple times. If that’s that #1 Customer service, I don’t know what is. All the workers there are very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I give this place 2👍 up.

Best vehicle Acura has made in last 15 years. Test drive an RDX Advance SHAWD package on sport mode for 15-20 mins and you’ll be sold. Beautiful airy cabin with pano, and the ELS sound system is killer! 2.0 turbo engine + 10 speed trans are bulletproof. Have my RDX Advance for 2 years now and will enjoy it for at least another 5 years. These are made to last, much like my 2006 TL that I have for over a decade, with 200k+ troublefree miles on the clock.

The overall experience was fine but I was just not used to this business model. I bought a $70,000 used vehicle and after having dealt with the Land Rover and Mercedes dealerships for years, the customer service at CarMax is just not up to their level. But I guess that was how I paid $2500 - $5,000 less than what other dealers were charging for the same car.

As a proud owner of a 2014 Acura RDX, I can confidently say that I have not experienced any malfunctions with my SUV. It has been a reliable and dependable vehicle that has served me well over the years. The comfort level of the interior is something that I particularly enjoy. The seats are comfortable, and the ride is smooth. Even on long drives, I never feel fatigued or uncomfortable. Despite its age, the 2014 Acura RDX is still a competent performer on the highway. I have driven it over 100,000 miles, and it still performs admirably, achieving 30-31 mpg on the highway. The fact that I haven't experienced any malfunctions only adds to my confidence in its reliability. In terms of aesthetics, the exterior and interior of the RDX are okay compared to other SUVs in its class. But, it's not the primary reason I bought this vehicle. My focus was on a reliable and comfortable vehicle, and the RDX has certainly delivered in those areas. Overall, if you're looking for a dependable, comfortable, and practical SUV, I can wholeheartedly recommend the 2014 Acura RDX.

Love this car I live in Minnesota and plow snow In the winter.. We recently had a bad snowfall dropping over a foot of hard wet snow. I've never had any issues with unplowed roads and drifts. This vehicle get me there safely ever time..

With only 74,000 miles in the odometer I can say nothing has ever broken in my RDX. It’s super reliable. Oil changes as cheap at the dealership and the car never complaints. Strong V6 that doesn’t have to deal with the long term reliability issues if the boosted turbos of today. No oil consumption problems. No leaks. No noises. The car still looks and feels like it came out of the lot. Will keep it until I can no longer drive.

My third RDX.Purchased in 2018 Was the last year of the 6 cylinder.My first was 2008 turbo 4 cyl.awd.Great car and peppy.Second was 2013 6 cylinder.Even better than the 4 cyl turbo. Now 6 years into my 2018 rdx I have no regrets.Love the peppiness of the 6 cyl and I'm using Michelin Cross Climate 2's for 2/3 of the year and michelin iceX for winter driving in NH. I know I could get better gas mileage with a hybrid but am unwilling to go to a lesser performing vehicle. I never have dealer service but go to a local mechanic for all maintenance. I love this car! Has 105,000 miles.
