2022 BMW X5 review
Our 2022 X5 was a beautiful car to us. Unfortunately it didn't work for us as my wife is handicapped and found it difficult to get in and out of - it's higher than one would expect and came to realize the seats are more inboard than other cars that are direct competitors. The 3 inch door sill was almost like a running board and contributed to her struggles. Even though we had the multi-contour seats, we found the lower cushion seat side bolsters too firm for any drive more than an hour. The seat back was fine. While driving around town and 2 lanes was great, it didn't track as well on the highway as one would expect, even after an alignment (it was off at delivery). Our old Volvos were much better in that regard. The positives include the exterior and interior design/layout, the quality, ride, handling and power. It also still has a few buttons, albeit a bit small when driving. The headlights were awesome and the gas mileage was better than expected, 21 around town and 28+ on the highway. Our situation is unique, and after 7 months we sold the car to a tall, able bodied couple.

2022 BMW X5 review
Only had the X5 for 4 weeks now but so far it is an awesome vehicle that runs and drives great. It appears to be very well built with good body lines and fit. Some of the safety features and electronic systems take some time to get set up properly for the best driving experience but the reward is well worth the time as everything is customizable for two drivers. Only bad thing is that a mower along the roadside threw a stone and put a chip in our paint and the paint isn’t self healing.

2018 BMW X5 review
Before you buy any BMW older than 2018, check out the Isley V BMW lawsuit. You will find the V8 in all pre 2018 BMW's to be problematic for oil leaks and valve stem failures due to defective engine design and excessive heat. I have this X5 with the V8 and it's a wonderful car to drive and look at. It's my 5th BMW and by far the most reliable. Unfortunately, even with all the meticulous care, my car has experienced the oil leak and smoking exhaust, just like all the N63 & N63TU engines through 2018 will experience this problem and the cost to repair exceeds $20K from the dealer. If you find one that had the valve stem seals replaced, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it, it's a great vehicle in many ways.

2023 BMW X5 review
Very comfortable, with massaging seats plus heated and cooled seats. I’m not sure that it’s a great value because it is expensive. The adaptive cruise control and the lane keeping work very well and almost make it self-driving.

2014 BMW X5 review
This 4000 lb beast maneuvers like a sports car. As someone who's always been passionate about cars, I leaned towards vehicles like the 3 series coupe or Audi A5. After having a need to purchase a new car and deciding on a Genesis GV80 prestige we had visited other Genesis dealerships and communicated via the phone in an attempt to purchase a certified preowned vehicle. Although service was granted elsewhere the atmosphere once entering the Conshohocken dealership was different. We could feel a sense of acceptance, a huge desire to ensure the experience was pleasant and rewarding. Alexus answered all questions, took her time and made us feel that no one else was taking her attention. There was no hard sale and after determining that we wanted the car she, Noah and the female finance manager whose name fails me went above and beyond to ensure that our choice went home with us that day. We cannot say enough just how much the atmosphere was so welcoming. We would choose to do business there again. Because of our residential location it may not be feasible to visit this dealership regularly but only because of the location would we utilize another Genesis dealership. We highly recommend Alexus to anyone who may be in the process of searching for a car, any car as she can take you to any of the Conicelli dealerships on the strip. You will not be disappointed. You will leave very impressed. You will feel important and not dismissed. My husband says make sure you have the coffee:)

A few phone calls later I made the 300 mile drive with my trade. Came through a couple of snow storms RT 90 and 81. Met Mike and Bill and within a 1/2 hour had the deal done a paperwork going. Gassed up and headed to the Great White North. Again RT81 was it nice, 7 hours later I was back in Western NY. Experience was great, fair negotiations. The entire staff was very helpful. 2014 BMW X5 review
I love this car so much! As a traveling doctor, this vehicle has safely climb passes cover in snow and ice, held steady on black ice, muscled through torrential downpour rain and never faultered. Between the traction control, quick response, no accidents. And when its dry road, it handles like a sports car. All the while I am surrounded with an amazing audio system.

2025 BMW X5 review
Biggest negative on the X5 is the run flat tires. I think they reduce the quality of the ride and at 5,000 miles had to replace two flat tires ---- non-repairable damage.

2019 BMW X5 review
We take trips to Cashiers/Highlands NC frequently. The drive is just over 5 hrs an it flies by quickly as the car is so comfortable. The peppy V8 has lots of power to pass quickly on the highway when necessary. Once we get into the mountains it feels great to switch from Eco mode to sports mode to attack those tight turns :)

2019 BMW X5 review
I love my X5 !!! It meets all my needs. There is enough space for the dogs and the kids. It drives great, it is very comfortable. Big enough but not too big. It tows well.

2024 BMW X5 review
I have this car for 26,000 miles now. This is the best X5 that I have ever owned. The new engine is great on the xdrive 40i. No need for the M60. 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. Handling is great. Tires and much better than on the previous generation. The ride is tight and comfortable. They did an awesome job. Hopefully, this car will last as long as my previous 2010 X5.

2020 BMW X5 review
1. BMW has relinquished transmission service, WHY? They DO NOT make their transmissions and the builder, another German company does and has a full service recommend sheet, with miles and correct fluids, et al. Now that's a load of crap. All transmission need servicing like any part with fluid traveling through it! So when your Trany goes out, you are looking a $4000+ easy, Thanks BMW for that PLANNED OBSELENCE! 2. No dip stick and access to change your oil or the very small oil gasket, NOT THE OIL FILTER, will cost you over $1000 in labor, TO ACCESS and a $14.08 part! 3. Ridiculous depreciation the minute you drive off the lot. I can buy a 2022 X7, retailing north of $95,000 for around. $50,000 and CPO/Certified with around 35-45,000 miles. 4. Very fun to drive, quality feel, twin turbo power I like, the profile is amazing on my 2017 X5. Don't like the body style changes. 5. You pay $65,000 or more and have to pay extra, with one package to get the Harmon Kardon stereo. xxxx, for that much in the price tag I should get the Bowers and Wilkins. 6. 9.5 and 10.5 wheels and tires make it look "mean". But no rotation and you will wear out the front tires in about 25,000 miles. Run flats are harsh and do not last. So, get an "S" model and gain gas mileage, rotate and balance tires and unless you live in a cold climate, the XDrive is a waste of additional sticker shock. of money. 10. The interior colors, mine is brown leather, are nauseating, at best. Orange looking leather, white leather-are you kidding me? And, the old standby Black!

2015 BMW X5 review
I’ve owned two 2015 X5D’s - daily driven for 7 years for a combined 173,000 miles (sales job), I averaged 29MPG on each tank in mixed driving (38+mpg on hwy using renewable diesel in CA), and it’s been so much more reliable than any gas car I’ve owned… The only car that compares in reliability is two BMW 328 diesels I’ve owned - I’m not going back to gas cars. I may consider Cayenne diesel as the only other alternative daily driver, otherwise I’ll stay with X5 diesels.

I bought a 2021 BMW X5 4.0 with the M Sports Package and this had been one of best vehicles ever owned. The reliability, comfort and curb appeal adds to it value. I traded a 2016 Lexus GX 460 for the X5 and have no regrets!
