North Hollywood ToyotaReviews
North Hollywood Toyota review
Our family has been taking our older Highlander to Toyota of North Hollywood for 15 years now and are grateful for the wonderful service we receive. Paul Carrasco is one of the kindest and most communicative service advisors I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He truly listens to his customers, wants to serve them well, and has a caring heart. Before working with Paul, we appreciated the help of other service advisors who were also professional and considerate. Toyota of North Hollywood has one of the best automotive service departments I've encountered and I recommend them wholeheartedly!

2020 Toyota Prius Prime review
Great drivability! Great room! Unfortunately, not confident in expertise at service center for plug in hybrid issues. No one has seen enough issues to understand how they can malfunction... they are totally dependent on computer codes and what the manual says.... haven’t really studied the tecnology and engineering enough to be able to anticipate and or respond to technical questions and circumstances.... sales people are completely oblivious to the technology!!! Cannot answer simple engineering questions about car! Service department seems only modestly more experienced, and have no passion or desire to really know or understand.... so their ability to inform and guide the customer is basically non existent. They call “ experts” elsewhere in the country... don’t appear to care to become experts themselves. This means that the customer has little to no confidence that their car is actually going to be fixed properly because they are completely reliant on manual and mechanics located elsewhere to solve issues.... fully expect that any upcoming repairs will be “ out of the box” repairs.... computer says that EGR valve is malfunctioning, so it needs a new one! When all it needs is a vacuum hose reconnected.... or something down these lines. This is really bad that the customer will need to understand their own car better than dealership mechanics, and will mean that extremely expensive parts will be seen as the solution to “ fixing” the oroblem...eg, I won’t be surprised if we own the vehicle for 10 plus years, that a new computer control module will be found to be needed because the code said it was malfunctioning.... when a small gasket waterproofing the compartment has failed and causes it to work improperly when it wet outside... The customer is left feeling uncared about, or cared for... and that Toyota hires fundamentally unprofessional or lazy service mechanics, and dont properly expect expertise or mastery about their products...

2019 Tesla Model S review
I rented an P100D for the weekend. When compared to my 2018 M5 this is better one of the two. The Model S is faster both straight line and in corners, more stable at speed, has more nicely weighted steering and is much more comfortable. It doesn't shake or rattle on bad roads. The infotainment system is far superior without frequent lockups. The only thing the S lacks is industry standard blind spot and cross traffic monitoring systems and a Heads Up display which the M5 has. Rear seat head and leg room is also limited when compared to the M5. Range of the model S on a charge is significantly less than a tank of gas on the M5 when driven quickly. Visiting the supercharger every 150 miles for 30 minutes is the fastest way to top off the battery. The Tesla driving experience is well worth the wait at the a supercharger.

2015 Kia Soul review
Our 2015 2.4L Soul has been great. My wife works a split shift, so she commutes to and from work Twice a day. So it gets a lot of highway miles. We also have gone cross country a few times. Always serviced at the dealer (which is more expensive), But it kept the warranty alive. Engine needed replaced at 95K due to oil consumption, but warranty covered it. Now at 220K AC compressor died. But that is the 1st repair we have had to do. Everything else is holding up fine.

Nissan Van NuysReviews
2024 Mazda Mazda3 review
Previously we have owned a 2016 Mazda Hatchback with the 2.0 liter engine and manual transmission. Our biggest complaint with that car was the lack of power. We were not expecting a performance car, but the 2 liter engine in that car was just anemic. My wife didn't feel safe trying to pull out into traffic. We recently purchased a 2024 Mazda 3 Premium with 2.5 liter engine and manual transmission. While still not feeling like a sports car (it is not one) it does have considerably more torque than the 2016 we owned previously. Things we like about the 2024 model: - the bump in power - fuel economy - the interior. the seats are somewhat firm, but comfy. The dash is nicely layed out - the buttons on the console are useful - heater/AC controls are buttons and knobs - easy to use - the heater fan! We have had several Mazdas, and the fan has always been underpowered. the fan in this car is adequate - two driver settings that will put the seat in the correct position, as well as let you set the brightness of the heads up display - seat heaters Things we don't like: - auto sensing wipers. the only way to use the intermittent wipers is with the 'auto' setting, and it operates properly only intermittently at best - the door for the gas filler. it is not difficult, but if you don't know how to do it, you may need to google (what I had to do at the gas station) - Fully electric parking brake - I would prefer a manually operated brake. - The pedal area is somewhat narrow. I have somewhat wide feet, so I have to keep that in mind, as some shoes make driving cumbersome. The reliability question was required, which is a rather lame requirement when one has owned a car for a month. I gave it 3 stars as I have no idea yet as to the reliability.

Anthony Lisica was extremely helpful in the buying process. He helped make the buying process as easy as possible. We showed up with an appointment for a specific vehicle on the lot. We test drove it and moved to start the buying process. We got a discount off the sticker price and made a deal. From there we did the paperwork and purchased a new Tacoma. Anthony helped make the deal happen and we could not be happier with the purchase. Thank you Anthony Lisica and DCH Toyota of Torrance!
2014 Toyota Prius review
The one weak point is that there is a design defect. The exhaust manifold leading to cylinders tends to get clogged up. Must be cleaned every 60 k miles (200 dollar job) to avoid head gasket replacement. Otherwise should run forever. 250 k miles and doesn't use drop of oil. 2014 is known to be vintage year, with all kinks worked out of generation 3 - except for aforementioned. Besides being ultra reliable, the car is simply the best use of space and readily available fuel possible. Enormous cargo space with back seats down. Up, passengers have room almost equivalent to full-size sedan. Simply best car ever made. Just look out for traction battery expense. But even that can be mitigated using rebuilt batteries and independent shops.

2018 Chevrolet Volt review
This car is the best of both worlds: drive gas free on a decent commute (I still get 60 miles battery under ideal conditions, even at over 70,000 miles), or the convenience of filling up at the gas tank to continue the journey on a long vacation drive without sacrificing performance. The routine maintenance schedule is far shorter and cheaper than my other vehicles, and I've only needed a radio connection checked out as well as a PCBM replacement (covered under warranty, fortunately) after all this time. Bought at 20k miles with no service performed outside of routine when purchased. Fantastic value, especially whem gas prices rise.

THE LITTLE 1.2 DOHC ENGINE IS STRONG BUT MITUSBISHI SHOULD HAVE PUT A STANDARD TURBO ON THIS ENGINE,, THATS WHY MITSUBISHI MADE THE 3A92 MIVEC ENGINE.. HIGHLY DURABLE & STRONG .. NO PROBLEM ON THE HIGHWAY OR THE TAKE OFF FROM A STREET LIGHT. THE TRANSMISSION IS ALSO GOOD.. CVT.. NEVER CRAZY ABOUT CVT ... BUT THIS TRANSMISSION IS OK.. CAR HANDLES IN SNOW.. RAIN,, RUNS WELL.. PERFORMANCE IS THE BEST OF THE SUB COMPACT CARS AND EVEN LARGER 4 D SEDANS,, THE MIRAGE IS ROOMY INSIDE ALSO. IVE HAD 6 FOOT 4 FREINDS IN THE CAR . THEY WERE SHOCKED .. LOL... IVE BEEN OFFERED BY KIA. TO TRADE MINE IN TO THEM.. .. BUT I REALLY LIKE THIS LITTLE CAR.. "" NEBULA"" IS HER NAME. 100K MILE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY.. IVE HIT THE 100K MARK.. JUS HAD A TUNE UP AND NEW TIRES.ITS BEEN PAID OFF SINCE 22..SO IM STUCK RIGHT NOW .. IN WINTER. I JUS WISH THE MIRAGE CAME WITH A STOCK TURBO,, IT WOULD REALLY BE FUN.. IDK IF I WANT A NEWER CAR .. NEW PAYMENTS.. .THE MIRAGE IS SOLID.. I THINK SHE CAN MAKE IT TO 200K, PLUS .. ...MIVEC CLASS ENGINE.. 7 AIR BAGS. ROCKFORD FOSGATE STEREO SYSTEM.HANDLING IS GOOD ALSO.. THE SPORTAUTO TRANS IN 2ND. D2. IS AVAILABLE AND USEFUL.. ACCELERATION IS GOOD.. WHEN NEEDED.. YOU'LL BE SURPRISED.. .VERY SURPRISED.. THATS WHY I STILL HAVE IT.. DO SOME REASERCH ON SOME OF MY COMMENTS .. BUT REMEMBER THE SPECS ONLINE ARE MOSTLY DOWN GRADED .. SUCH AS PERFORMANCE.. TOP SPEED HP,, O - 60 TIMES.. ETC... ID SAY FROM EXPERIENCE.. THE MIRAGE IS FASTER AND HAS MORE HP THAN MOSTLY ALL THE REVIEWS IVE READ.. ONLY 1 AGREED WITH MY STATS & SPECS,,. I LAUGH AT THE 1 YOU TUBE GUY WHO SAYS THE MIRAGE IS TOTAL.. CRAP.. I LAUGH AT HIM.. ALSO YOU STAND OUT IN THE MIRAGE.. IN THIS SUV .. 4DR SEDAN WORLD.. WELL.. AS YOU CAN SEE ID RECOMMEND THE MIRAGE.. 100%..

2021 MINI Hardtop review
It be of no secret that the Germans are behind the production of the MINI Brand. The fit and finish, drive, engineering and even smell are all very much in tune with the Brand's Ownership. The drive and sheer joy one feels from driving one of these products makes you feel like a kid again, playing with their favorite toy after a day of school. There are bigger and more expensive offerings to choose but none have the character or joy of ownership of a MINI.

2015 Toyota Prius review
We love the prius after owning a 2007 model. The 2015 is a step up and we got it at a good price for low mileage to hold us until plug-in mile range improves.
