We narrowed our car search down to a couple Subaru models, and then used a local, unsanctioned Subaru website to research all the tradeoffs and options. When it came time to snag a specific car, we got quite a range of quotes from Western Washington dealers. Joe Spitz, at Carter Subaru Shoreline, offered a discounted price that was far less than the next lowest quote for the same car. His proposal wasn?t even in the same league as the much higher fixed prices used at some Subaru stores. So we got the exact vehicle package we were seeking, for a model that is in very high demand, and paid a deeply discounted price that made a joke of the ?true? car values listed by the various car buying websites. I have pretty high expectations when I?m about to be parting with a lot of money. Our sales consultant, Joe Spitz, impressed me as the kind of guy who eats, sleeps, and loves the Subaru brand. Joe not only exceeded all my expectations, but he also significantly lessened the amount of money I had to part with :)! His candid and thorough response to my questions, and his use of just the right amount of humor, made the buying process downright enjoyable. He has really earned my respect. 2025 Subaru Impreza review
I bought a 2025 Impreza Base model. This is my first Subaru, and I have to say, for a base trim package, it is A LOT of car! The dual touch screens take some getting used to, but they're easy to learn and navigate. The eyesight system is a pretty cool safety feature and helps keep me focused if I get distracted. The AWD is really smooth when accelerating, and the CVT feels similar to an automatic. I wasn't expecting to like a CVT but I feel like Subaru is doing them right. We'll see where this thing is at in a few years, but so far it feel pretty nice. This thing has plenty of juice when getting up to speed. The steering controlled headlights are a cool feature I didn't know I needed. Overall, this is a very nice vehicle at a great price. It's a perfect daily driver and then some.

1993 Acura Integra review
She's fast and easy to work on. What can I say? First, a tiny bit of backstory about myself, my first car was a '99 Honda Civic, which I rather loved. And I love this car WAY more. This car works well for me because it is little, and I am not a very large person. At the same time, bigger and taller people can fit in this thing because of how the seats are angled. I've seen it happen in my own ride. It's not too bad on gas at all, but considering it's designed to be a sports car, it probably guzzles gas a bit more than say... a Honda Civic. But yeah, she's classy in front, and sexy from behind. A true JDM classic. She has a pretty dang spacious hatchback-trunk, as well. Another couple reasons to consider an old Integra, is parts for this car are cheap and plentiful, especially on eBay. You can basically have an old car that runs almost like a new one for dirt cheap if you take advantage of that. I got her pretty tuned, and let me tell you, she is friggin' fast. And gonna get faster. Believe me, I've got plans for this car, flippin' sweet plans. And I've got mostly eBay to thank for that. And local parts stores as well, can't forget them. Even though this car has been discontinued, it is certainly not obsolete, trust me. The other reason is you can probably find one on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace used, for dirt cheap. Which is what I did. Just sayin'. Anyways, thanks for reading this review, and I hope you buy a SICK 'teggy soon, but particularly, I hope you buy a Gen 2 Integra. Have a blessed day

2024 BMW i4 Gran Coupe review
As a BMW driver for decades (318i, 328i), I reluctantly switched to Tesla when the Model S became the first practical EV. I wanted to drive electric more than I wanted to be loyal to (IMHO) the best line of sedans and coupes on the planet. I loved the S, too, but after 12 years it was having problems, support was rotten, and it was time for a replacement. Fortunately, all the manufacturers have EVs now. Although I test drove several other makes, I was delighted to see that the BMW i4 was my favorite. When it started to look like tariffs were going to increase prices, I abbreviated my search and went for the Bimmer. By chance, the dealer had a 2024 shop loaner available with low mileage and a lower price than a brand new 2025 so I leased it. (Incidentally, it was less expensive in absolute dollars than the Model S was in 2012!) I'm glad I "pulled the trigger" when I did and I love the car. Handling is excellent. It "feels like" a BMW despite slightly lighter steering than my last 328. It's feature-rich and I'm still learning the ancillary controls. I'm OK with CarPlay although Tesla's own infotainment system is better. The driver assist is good and automatic stop/start in heavy traffic is a joy although I still prefer steering myself under better conditions. I think most BMW drivers will feel likewise. I haven't used self-parking other than a demo in the dealer's lot but I promise to try it. I don't expect to need a lot of service - it's an EV - but at least BMW takes phone calls! The cell phone app is better than Tesla's and it's NOT the only way to schedule service. My only real objection is the location of the charge port at right-rear which will make it awkward to use short-corded Tesla Superchargers even once BMW concludes a deal with Tesla. The i4 has more "hard" controls - which I prefer for eyes-on-the-road driving - than Model S but its voice recognition commands are more limited. Its navigator has the same voice as Model S but gives more frequent bum steers. All in all, I'm very glad I made the switch. And I didn't give money to the Little Dictator who works for the Big Dictator!

2017 Toyota Prius review
The Prius is the last cat you will have to buy. The reason being is that this vehicle is extremely reliable. It gets over 50 MPG & it doesn’t have any issues or problems whatsoever. I was skeptical upon purchasing this vehicle, being 6 ft. 1 & 235 lbs, but it actually is quite comfortable inside. Overall this is a rock solid vehicle, it will not disappoint you in any way. Highly recommended!

My primary 'experience' with CarMax has been the sale of my 2012 Lexus RX350, high mileage car. The car was assessed, evaluated and taken in as a purchased rig. As usual, with used car selling, the price initially seemed a bit low, but realistic. In the interim, as a 'second' car, it was blocking my driveway, so clearing the decks was in order. The young lady handling the transaction seemed knowledgeable in all the aspects and paperwork of the transaction, so it all ran smoothly. I then put the check in the bank and paid my property taxes! There's a good chance I'll be back.....(I don't do this sort of thing every day!
2025 Toyota Prius review
There’s a lot of negative stuff in this review. Be that as it may, I’m happy with the car. Toyota revamped the Prius design for 2025. I was one of the few who liked the previous “space capsule” look - the new one looks a lot like a Tesla 3. It’s fine; not terribly distinctive, but sleek and attractive. I get compliments. They tweaked the mileage with this design, and I know exactly how: it’s smaller. I can’t reach into the rear seat footwell by putting my arm between the seat and the wall; zero room. I can’t rest my elbow on the window sill and place my hand along the top of the window; too short. There’s no glasses holder at the top of the windshield. (And there’s no rear-window wiper. Pretty annoying, but at highway speed the slipstream keeps it clear.) The center console requires that the driver be a contortionist if they hope to use it while driving; and the compartment itself is quite small. I often misjudge how to slip into a parking slot because I sit so much closer to the edge of the car than in previous Prii. All that said, I like it. Mileage is, indeed, good. The ride is comfy, though I’ve never owned a cushy car. I’ve never much liked the steering on the Prius (this is my third), and it feels vague and disconnected, but it’s serviceable. It’s low to the ground, and the driver’s position is low relative to the windows - first car I’ve ever needed a cushion to raise me up to where I could see well enough not to regularly be running over curbs in turns. I use *two* cushions! Never before. The complete suite of safety features is great. I believe that I (and others in the road) are safer for them. Connection with my iPhone is usually seamless. As with most cars, the multitude of computer options can be daunting and frustrating, but a conference with the manual and/or a search engine usually sets things right. Pick-up is actually pretty decent! I feared that my first Prius (2006 I think) would get me run over by a truck if I ever needed to scoot out of the way - very little scooting was available. That’s much better now. And unlike so many other people, I don’t really think about gas prices. On those exceptional trips (mostly downhill, I assume) when I get to my destination and read “Average mileage: 67 MPG” or even 82 rare occasions, I chuckle to myself.

2025 Honda Civic review
I traded in a 2017 Honda CR-V Touring because it was going to to cost more to fix the major issues (as a second owner I did not know the CR-V had that many things wrong). I put money down on the Civic Sport that I was going to use for the repairs. I do have to say it's a nice car and I hope it will last longer than I expect. That being said I didn't want to buy another Honda but I did go to a dealership that I trust more than anybody else. I will come back and further my review once I have 5,000 miles on it.

2017 Subaru Impreza review
Front mid console is a bit awkward in placement, making it difficult to put two drinks in the designed locations. Its also awkward for the passenger to open the compartment because the fit is too close to the front seats. The lack of any dedicated sunglass compartment is frustrating. How about as part of the overhead info center?

First, I'd like to say I'll never buy from a dealer (other than CarMax) again. This process was painless and positive. If you go to Renton - ask for TYSON - he was great. Laid back, informative, and what I value most - not pushy or slick. I told him some of the things I wanted in a car and he came up with the perfect choice for me. The signing took about 30 minutes and I was done. They filled up the tank - put a pretty bow on the car when I picked it up - and generally made me feel important and valued. I can't recommend this company enough!
2017 Chevrolet Spark review
This is a fuel efficient and modest car. It achieves 98hp has a 9 gallon tank and an automatic transmission. The LS has crank windows and old fashioned key-lock doors. You can haul a reasonable load in the back seat and hatch or even three other people, though it might be somewhat cramped. It appears to be designed for urban commuters, but I've driven it some decent distances and in all seasons now and it seems to up the challenge of all weather and (paved) terrains. The onboard technology (radio, backup camera, and internet connectivity--with Apple Play and Android Auto) is surprisingly good. Its small size makes it fit easily into small spaces. It was discontinued in 2022, so there should be parts for awhile and prices are coming down. If you need a second car, give this one some consideration.

2014 MINI Hardtop review
Bought it new. Hard to tell that it's almost 8yrs old. Third Mini, first automatic. Very nimble and good acceleration. Love the heads up display and love love the power folding mirrors and side driver visor. Seats are very comfortable and have an extension for longer legs available. Haven't been able to figure out how to delete older phones from the bluetooth or unwanted addresses from the nav system tho. Biggest drawback for me is that the nearest dealer is 1.5 hrs away. But they do offer a valet service to pick up the car if scheduled in advance. It's not the most inexpensive to repair but what vehicle is nowadays.

2024 Nissan Leaf review
One needs to be "ready" to drive an EV. Charging a car is different than filling it with gasoline. But with a little planning, it works great, and it is MUCH cheaper. The car is really fun to drive. It's quiet, with very little vibration, yet VERY responsive. It has lots of great safety features, as well. It is well-priced, and the $7,500 federal rebate was really helpful! It's a great car.

2021 Toyota Prius review
I have a 2021 Prius AWD with 233,000 km. Not one issue. Starts even at -40 degrees and everything works as it should. No rattles or lose pieces. Just a solid car. I have driven through muddy roads and a foot of snow and the front air dam xxxxxxsnow and keeps going. Who needs an SUV when you’re driving one of these.

I normally don’t write long reviews but I really wanted to for these guys because I had such a good experience at Real Deal Cars. I’ve bought a few cars over the years and I’m always a little skeptical walking into a dealership because you never really know who you can trust or if the price you’re seeing online is actually going to be the price when you get there. That was probably the biggest thing that stood out to me here. I never felt like they were playing games with me or trying to pressure me into buying something. Before coming in I had already been looking online for a while and comparing a bunch of different cars and dealerships. Their prices were honestly some of the best I could find, which is what originally got me to come in. I figured there had to be some kind of catch but there really wasn’t. The car was exactly what I expected and nobody tried to switch things up on me once I got there. What I appreciated the most though was how comfortable they made the whole process. I asked a ton of questions and never felt rushed or like I was annoying anyone. If they knew the answer they told me, and if they didn’t, they actually took the time to find out instead of just making something up to sell me the car. That meant a lot to me. You can tell this is a family business and that their reputation actually matters to them. I never got that feeling of being just another customer they were trying to get in and out as fast as possible. Everyone I dealt with was down to earth and easy to talk to. And honestly, trust is a huge thing for me when buying a used car. I can find cars for sale anywhere. Finding a dealership where I actually feel comfortable spending my money is a different story. By the time I left I felt like I got a really good car for a really fair price and, more importantly, I didn't leave wondering if I got taken advantage of. I would 100% come back here for my next car. I’d also have no problem sending my family or friends here, which is probably the best thing I can say about any dealership. If you’re looking at one of their cars, just go check it out for yourself. Compare their prices with other dealers and talk to the people there. That’s what I did and I’m really glad I ended up buying from them. Thank you again to everyone at Real Deal Cars. You guys earned my business and my trust and I’ll definitely be back.
2012 Hyundai Veloster review
Bought the 2012 Veloster shortly after its introduction. It has all of the trim options available, though I never learned to use them. This car has had a lot of pesky recalls, but that is like a lot of vehicles. There have been NO problems for my car, except for an inexpensive part repair in the steering column at about 90K miles. I bought this car because of 1) the great m.p.g., 2) the sporty appearance, and 3) to more easily navigate city traffic. My only complaints are: 1) the seats are not well-padded nor provide lumbar support, but they hold you great when zipping around sharp curves in the mountains, 2) it sits so low to the ground (as sporty cars do), which make it difficult for a tall and older person to get in and out. Those who desire a lot of power would probably be disappointed.

2011 Nissan Versa review
My wife has the 2011 Versa S hatchback. She had had it since 2012, it is now 2024 and she has 135,000 miles on it. It has been very solid overall with basically the regular type maintenance things: brakes, oil changes, tires. It does however go through mufflers every 3 years about. And they did one engine mount that was worn out. She does have the check engine light on currently but its probably due for spark plugs. Now the engine is a bit slower to respond to hills or when trying to pass thanbit was 12 years ago, but overall it still has enough zip. Being the S it has The auto door locks on the key fob and there is auto windows inside. Fold down the rear seats and it easliy can hold whatever we pick up from the hardware store. It has a smooth ride and most of the bumps in the road are absorbed by the suspension. Some of the paint has been peeling around the trunk and the passenger sun visor broke off, but these are minor trivialities. I have confidence she can get to 150,000 miles and at least another 3 years our of it.

2017 Kia Forte review
I have owned a Kia Forte for 7 years now. My husband and I love it! We do regular oil changes and maintenance, and keep the car in the garage. At almost 60,000 miles it needed new tires and brakes, but that's not a big surprise. We LOVE the performance of this car -- the turbo function makes it fun to drive and great for passing. It's compact enough that we can park anywhere. And the hatchback is surprisingly large! We ended up selling our Toyota Camry and keeping our Kia because the Kia is a workhorse that hauled furniture and boxes for my husband's business. Way more room than the Camry when we needed to haul things or take our electric bikes on an adventure.

2014 Scion iQ review
Love this car. CVT transmission works great, and understanding how they are different is important. The car handles like a large car but can turn in incredibly short radius. Back seats golf glare offering tons of space easily accessible from rear hatch or from the front. I felt the horn was weak and replaced it with Hella dual horns and they’re loud and alpine. I added fog light kit got better light and bright led bulbs for the headlights Indide I replaced halogen with led bulbs, added head liner lights in back and in the foot wells. The car is fantastic. I have a 911 C4, a Raptor and a Prius. I’ve had 6 bmws including m5. I love the scion. It’s great. There was one idiot reviewer when these cars came out hat panned this car but his ignorance was stunning. Single handed he helped ruin this cars reputation. He should be waiting tables, and staying away from cars. By the way, I’m 6’1 and my daughters boy friend is 6’2. I got in the back passenger side. He got in the front passenger side. We both had plenty of leg room. I was amazed because you wouldn’t have thought it. But it’s true. The drivers side back seat doesn’t have as much but a smaller person, a kid, wouldn’t have a problem. This car wasn’t designed to schlep around four people, but you can easily take three if you wanted. City parking… you rule ! This car can fit where nobody else can. You could pull straight into the curb between two parallel parked cars and still not stick out. If there’s a spot on the other side of the street you can Uturn without hesitation. It’s a piece of cake! You gotta love this car ! It’s fun and a blast to drive on the freeway at 75 or cruising the city and finding parking where everyone else has to pass by. Love this car!

2023 Honda Civic review
After changing jobs and having to drive 100 miles round trip, I decided to buy the 2023 Honda Civic, I think it was the best decision of my life, not only does it save me a lot of gas but it looks spectacular on the outside and not to mention The interior is simply perfect with a lot of space, like any criticism there are negative points such as the sound system which in my opinion lacks power to be able to listen to your favorite songs at full volume, another point that I would like to highlight is that it lacks entry to the car without having to use your remote control even my 2011 grand cherokee has it, in a general perspective it seems like a good car for price, safety and appearance, it has been my first honda and I think I will continue with the tradition of continuing to buy this model for a long time

Don't buy a standard 5Series - buy the GT. The GT is really a 7Series (extended wheel base and built on 7Series platform) so it is more roomy and comfortable, and gives you the great handling of a 5Series but in the body of a 7Series.

2019 Honda Fit review
My car has decent gas mileage— about 40 mpg with a bit less when driving predominantly in town. It fits my petite frame very well but my husband, who is larger, says he is comfortable driving it as well and actually owns his own fit. The car has good visibility and is responsive on the road. It takes curves well, and the acceleration is more than sufficient for entering the freeway and it responds well when a quick maneuver is needed. I love this car more than any other car I have had.

I HATE buying a car because of all the games you have to play. Here, there were no games. Prices are posted. Either you want the car or you don't. They will offer you a fair price for your car. Either you take it or you don't. No pressure, no games. Just very nice people who were very helpful. This will be the first place I look when looking for another car. I love that you can shop online, put a hold on the car and go and look at it when it is convient for you. None of this, "I can't promise it will still be here tomorrow." games. They will hold it up to 7 days. I only asked for 2 days. It gave me enough time to look around and decide that I really did want the car at Carmax. Love my car, loved the experience. Try them first if you don't like the car buying game.
