2023 Honda Ridgeline review
Great mid-sized truck! Far superior to offerings from Nissan and Toyota - both of which ride like trucks. The Ridgeline rides like an SUV. Quiet, predictable and dependable. The Honda Safety Sensing system is a tad of a nuisance but you get accustomed to ignoring it. Surprised that Honda doesn’t do a better job. Infotainment system is overly complicated. Fuel economy is acceptable. Power is acceptable.

2025 Kia Carnival review
I traded a 2021 Telluride for the Carnival because it was more practical and versatile for transporting young children. Although they had the same trim levels, the quality of interior materials - seats, door panels, etc. - in the Telluride were superior to the Carnival. The "ride," handling and comfort of the Telluride also far exceeded that of the Carnival. I miss the Telluride but appreciate the functionally of the Carnival.

2023 Honda Accord Hybrid review
We've been buying V6 Accords for years now. This one is a totally different beast, unlike the previous V6, which were powerful, but "nervous", this car is so SMOOTH, elegantly gliding along, VERY MUCH LIKE AN EV. Yet when I need power — it delivers. The MPG is more than DOUBLE of what we've been used to. I tested a few hybrid sedans, and the Accord was the smoothest, you can't feel it switching from hybrid to Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), as some others do. Definitely a great buy!

I was able to find what I liked, afford what I found, and to this day I haven't had any problems other than recall issues.
2025 Ford Mustang review
I’ve owned my Mustang EcoBoost Premium Convertible for a while now, and it completely shatters the old stereotype that a Mustang needs a V8 to be a "real" sports car. It is the perfect platform for someone who wants open-air fun without sacrificing premium comfort, daily drivability, or cutting-edge technology. The stock EcoBoost engine is already incredibly punchy, but the platform reacts beautifully to the right modifications. Adding the Ford Performance Calibration—which ups the output to a serious 350 horsepower and 402 lb-ft of torque—along with a Mishimoto intercooler completely wakes the car up. To be honest, this is exactly how the car should have come from the factory if Ford wasn't so worried about tuning it down just to keep it 87-octane compatible. Running it on premium fuel with this calibration gives you massive low-end torque, immediate throttle response around town, and a relentless pull on the highway. Opting for the Premium trim is a must. The interior materials are a massive step up, making the cabin feel like a high-end grand tourer. I am especially happy with the tech in this car. I absolutely love the giant digital screen layout. While some Mustang purists don't like it and prefer old-school physical gauges, I am someone who always embraces new technology. Sitting in the driver's seat makes me feel like I am in an airplane cockpit. Features like the active cruise control work excellently on longer drives. The only thing I wish Ford had included in this tech package is a Head-Up Display (HUD). Because it's a convertible, you do have to deal with open-air road noise, and while the factory B&O sound system is decent, to me it was really lacking—especially with the top down. Fortunately, the platform is incredibly rewarding if you like to customize, so I upgraded the factory audio to a custom, high-end 3-way active system while retaining the stock head unit. Now, even with the top down on the highway, the audio clarity is absolutely incredible. If you are looking for a sharp, tech-forward sports car that delivers genuine performance, upscale daily comfort, and a brilliant platform for subtle, high-quality upgrades, the EcoBoost Premium Convertible is tough to beat.

2023 Toyota Sienna review
Traded our 2025 Toyota Hylander Hybrid awd because the seats were so uncomfortable and was told there was nothing they could do about it for a 2023 Sienna. We were looking for a road trip vehicle when we bought the Hylander but both Toyotas Got great gas mileage 36 mpg drove good but the seats were uncomfortable and a little hard to get in and out of because the roof line has been lowered. Didn’t have the room inside as our grand Caravan and you couldn’t remove the second row seats they wouldn’t even lay down flat just lean forward. Was a bigger car outside than we wanted but not as roomy inside. After 9k miles we traded it. Would be a good car for someone

2023 Mazda CX-9 review
Despite this being the final year offered (the CX-90 will replace it soon) the CX-9 is still a looker. The 6 speed transmission shifts smoothly and the 2.5L turbo has plenty of power to move this 4200 pound AWD, SUV. Seats are very comfortable in both first and middle and I keep the third row folded down leaving a good sized cargo area for hauling groceries, 50lb bags of birdseed, softener salt and anything else I need to carry. And I absolutely love the way this thing handles! It feels far more like a nimble car than a 3 row SUV. The 12 speaker Bose sound system is clear and powerful. The cabin is very quiet at all speeds. The ride is firm but solid and comfortable. Not a squeak or rattle. I have the Carbon Edition and I feel it looks as fresh as any new three row mid-sized SUV out there. I traded my 2019 Ram Limited (an incredibly luxurious truck for the Mazda and I was concerned about adapting to a smaller vehicle but the CX-9 is everything I could have hoped for. I would recommend anyone who enjoys driving and has to occasionally carry some bulky stuff to consider one of these before they're gone.

Good quality car. After so many long trips I enjoyed any time with my family, ex. Medellín to Guajira more or less 1000 KMS ~ 600 miles. It is an Mt Advance version and does not have as many technical assistants. But it is a city car, don't expect too much. it doesn't have much strength

After daily driving it in city conditions and taking it on longer highway trips, I can confidently say this vehicle delivers an excellent blend of SUV comfort and truck utility. The Santa Cruz was exactly what I was looking for. I needed something that offered more capability and cargo flexibility than my Tucson while still maintaining passenger comfort and everyday drivability. The SEL Activity trim comes with great features, including heated seats, lane assist, a sunroof, and comfortable second-row seating. The bed is spacious, and the factory Tonneau cover does an excellent job keeping anything I carry back there clean and dry. I also appreciated purchasing from a dealership that provided a dealer-backed warranty, giving me additional confidence in my ownership experience. The Santa Cruz provides a great balance of practicality, features, and peace of mind without needing to rely on a third-party warranty company. Driving performance has been excellent. The truck has plenty of power, and highway driving is where it really shines. It is extremely stable, comfortable, and quiet, with almost no noticeable cabin noise. Fuel economy has been impressive, averaging around 24–26 MPG during continuous daily city driving and reaching 36–38 MPG during longer highway trips. Handling is excellent, especially with the 18-inch tires, and the transmission provides plenty of torque for the terrain and conditions I regularly encounter. There have been a few minor issues. After an infotainment software update, the USB-C connection used for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay stopped working properly. Disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes temporarily fixes the issue until the vehicle is turned off again. The driver assistance system also has some quirks. Even on well-marked roads, the lane assistance can sometimes behave unpredictably, and I have noticed it occasionally tries to move right instead of staying centered when going through intersections. The biggest annoyance has been a rattle from the passenger-side headliner that has been present since I purchased the vehicle. It is especially noticeable on rough roads. The climate control system works very well with dual front controls and rear airflow, although occasionally the fan will completely stop for a few seconds before restarting. Overall, the 2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL Activity has been an excellent vehicle. If you are looking for a truck-style vehicle with good towing capability, passenger space, storage, fuel economy, and modern features, I would absolutely recommend the Santa Cruz. It is unfortunate that 2026 is expected to be the final model year for the Santa Cruz because it fills a unique space in the market.

2025 BMW 228 Gran Coupe review
So far so good with this purchase of a dealer loaner car after the first 1000 miles. Nearly all of it has been highway miles on the return trip to LA from Las Vegas after purchase and a recent round trip LA-Las Vegas. Really smooth highway drive, The engine doesn't sound like it's laboring at all. Excellent fuel mileage so far as well.I haven't done much local driving yet. I hope it remains as comfortable as it has felt so far. (I went from an X2 to a sedan). If you're not used to it, the touch features on the dash might take some getting used to. The truck is smaller than I've been used to. Overall, I'm very pleased.

Got my XLT with black appearance option in may of 2023. Well worth waiting for 8 months. Have had the best luck with this truck. Have 28,000 miles and main battery just got replaced under warranty. None of those recalls ever pertained to this truck. Couldn’t be happier with this truck. Non plug in Hybrid . Great city mpg and rides great. Recommend to anyone wanting a small truck.

2025 Kia K5 review
I only had the car 1 month but drove it to Florida (all around) and back and put on 3,500 miles. My car is a GT-Line, Wolf Grey with the Red interior, Bose speakers etc. The car is a real pleasure to drive. Very Quiet on the road, and my mileage exceeded the 37 mpg epa rating, and that’s while maintaining speeds of 80 mph with 2 people and fully loaded with luggage. Little if any wind noise. Note that at times I hit much higher speeds not knowing since it was so quiet & smooth. The engine RPM was mostly between 2 to 2.1 at 80mph. The power of the 2.5 liter is good, and slightly better than the 2019 Camry I had, which was a very good car as well. The Bose system sounded great, and all the alert sensors and some other sensors like keeping your car steering between the lines worked very well, but I preferred to turn that off most of the time. If you turn on your turning signals to changing lanes, and a car is present, not only does your side mirrors alert you, but you’ll get sound notices and the steering wheel will vibrate. Triple redundancy. The handling is very good, and secure, brakes are excellent and has a very good feel to them. A very important note is, I appreciate that the 2.5 engine has both Direct & Port Injectors on each cylinder. Port injectors will help cleaned the valves and clear any carbon build up. This is the same arrangement my Camry 2019 had which greatly reduces or eliminates carbon buildup in these Direct Inject Engines. The Nav system worked flawlessly and quickly. I also love you can remotely start your car with the key FOB (No additional charge) or with Kia Connect though Kia connect is only free the 1st 3 years. Also, happily, it doesn’t have the stop & start engine control which can cause more wear on your starter motor with little gain on MPG. The seats are very comfortable as I can attest driving 12 hours straight on my first stop. The car’s 8 spd auto shifted smoothly in all conditions. Plenty of room inside. Lot of storage in the console area for incidentals and drinks. I enjoyed the Panoramic roof. The negative was the Combine toggle Climate & Media control is a bit counter intuitive and sometimes causes more effort to control. Trunk space is good, as I had lots of luggage. The car feels solid & hopefully reliable down the line. The only other negative which is because I do my own oil changes etc, is this car takes a Cartridge oil filter (Not spin on) and takes 6.1 quarts of oil, (Not 5 qts) but I knew this well before I bought it but it’s location and design is good. So it’s not a real big deal, but this will cost a little more for oil changes. Recommended oil chg is 7,500 but I’ll be doing it every 5 to 6K for sure. BTW recommended oil is 0 -30W. Based on my limited time but very heavy usage I highly recommend this car, and I really enjoy driving it. Very sporty looking.

My 2025 Chevy Colorado is fun to drive. The ZR1 engine has plenty of power considering it’s a four-cylinder engine. I am very much a person who prefers an eight cylinder when it comes to a truck. I was pleasantly surprised when I drove this truck with a four-cylinder engine. This truck has a lot of power and get up and go, especially when it comes to passing other vehicles. My firstb experience at passing in a vehicle in his truck surprised when I hit the gas and I wound up surging forward in my seat. The interior of the truck is very comfortable and ete appealing. 2023 Hyundai SONATA review

I've had it for about a month now and it is everything I was hoping to have in a good performing, comfortable, reliable car. 2018 Porsche Panamera review
I have a Panamera 4 and it is the best car I have ever owned. After 5 years it has never let me down- not even once- and besides the recall notices that were always handled during regularly scheduled visits nothing has needed attention. The fit and finish and styling are still totally on point after all this time. The car looks and drives exactly like it did when new despite 30,000 miles. Also, I have 21’ wheels and thought I would have to replace the tires by now. However, they are chunky and full of tread. I drove 1000 miles in one day last week averaging 77mph and 29.5mpg. Great performance and a long drive in one day. It was so nice on the road and my body despite the longest drive of my life! Fit and finish, quality of the components, and tech that is totally up to date after 5 years. Wow. Loved it! I also own a cayenne and a 2015 Mercedes S class. The Mercedes is not close to the quality unfortunately.

2025 Land Rover Defender review
I purchase my 2025 Land Rover Defender 110 in December of 2025 and absolutely love the vehicle. It is a solid vehicle and has a high quality build. I have yet to find a flaw in the craftsmanship. I believe these are all built in a new highly automated factory and it definitely shows. I absolutely love the Air Purification feature which I believe included an Air Quality Sensor ($100 option) and Cabin Air Purification Plus ($375 option). Well worth this additional spend as we have experienced Canadian wildfire smoke in Illinois. These features clean the interior air. And this is in addition to the filter cartridge that the Defender has as do many newer vehicles. Took the Defender on a road trip to Atlanta Georgia and to the North Carolina coast in May. The Defender was absolutely wonderful to drive on this road trip which had many detours off of interstate roads. I have the inline-4 and had no issues merging into city traffic, ascending the Smokey Mountains or navigating through curves on secondary highways. Extremely competent and well-mannered. I traded my 2019 Mustang GT and even though the Defender is NOT a sports car it is an excellent SUV for handling, Not to be negative on other 'popular' American SUVs, but there is no comparison. The Defender is 'ALL THAT'. For those people that want a 'cushy, plush' ride, the Defender might not work for you, It is a more stiff ride, but I appreciate the excellent road feel. The only negative comment I will make on the Defender is the headlight high-beam indicator. Normal beams show a green outlined icon; high beam changes to blue. Being slightly green/blue color blind makes this dash display a bit of an issue. Otherwise, the Defenders controls and displays were easy to learn and use.
