2026 Mazda CX-90 review
3.3 Turb Premium Plus The Bottom Line I really want to love this car. It looks sharp on the road, and the dealership/salesperson experience was fantastic. However, living with it daily on a Premium Plus trim has revealed several glaring design and engineering flaws. From severe turbo lag to a center console layout that feels downright poorly thought out, it’s hard to fully recommend this specific setup. PROS Exterior Styling: The car looks great and has a sleek, modern presence. Dealership Experience: The buying process and the salesman were top-notch. CONS Severe Turbo Lag: When you press the gas pedal to the ground, there is a massive delay before the turbo kicks in and the car actually starts moving. It’s completely unresponsive and frustrating when you need immediate power to merge or pull out quickly. I'm ultimately just not a fan of this turbo. Poor Cup Holder Placement: The cup holders are far too small for modern cups. Worse yet, if you aren't incredibly careful when putting a drink into the holder, it is very easy to accidentally knock the shifter straight into Neutral while driving. Awkward Shifter Design: The shifter requires you to notch it over to the side, which is a lot to get used to. Because it doesn't feel fluid, it's far too easy to forget to put the car all the way into Park when getting out. Disappointing Storage: The interior storage is severely lacking. The center console bin is incredibly shallow, and there is almost no hidden storage space underneath the trunk floor panel. Subpar "Premium" Features: For a near-top trim, it’s just not that great. There is no option for an automatic easy-exit seat (where the seat slides back when you turn the car off). Furthermore, there is no remote start on the physical key fob; you are forced to pay a monthly fee for an app subscription just to start your car. Questionable Interior Build Quality: The leather/pleather area right around the door handles moves around a lot. There is a ton of play in that trim piece, which makes me worry it won't last long-term. Advice to Buyers If you are looking at the Premium Plus trim expecting a seamless, high-end experience, pay very close attention to the center console layout and the throttle response during your test drive. It has a lot of potential, but the daily quirks are tough to overlook.

2026 Mazda CX-90 review
Not a BMW, Lexus or Mercedes, but it comes reasonably close for the $20-30K savings. Upscale interior, tight handling, fairly quiet ride. I purchased the second from the bottom of the line: Turbo Preferred with the standard 280 hp inline 6 engine. Easily enough power. Negotiated the $45.5 sticker down to $40.5, still expensive but way lower than even the Honda Pilot. Only complaint: 3rd Seat is ONLY FOR KIDS.

2024 Mazda CX-90 review
Purchased the PHEV a little over 1 year ago and put 12K+ miles on it so far, and I like it a lot. Its stylish, quiet and great on gas. I consistently get over 70+ MPG around town and 35+MPG on longer trips. However, I *strongly recommend* the L2 charger as it cuts charging time down to 2.5 hour with 29 miles range. Without it, the L1 charger takes forever. I went with a 30W auto splitter on my dryer plug for under $140 on Amazon. Its amazing! However, even if you switch to gas, the Hybrid system averages 26 MPG with standard driving. My only complaint so far is the connection to Google/Apple play sometimes drops for seemingly no reason 1-2 times a week and the reactive driving can be touchy. Overall, very reliable and fun to drive. I highly recommend.

Recently leased a 2024 Mazda CX-90 3.3 I6 Turbo Premium Plus. Love the vehicle so far. Considered a PHEV with huge discounts but was able to get a nicer 2024 I6 for around the same price, and it’s a much better vehicle. Love the interior and the styling. Drives great. No complaints. Highly recommend.

2026 Mazda CX-90 review
After owning several luxury SUV”s , the Mazda CX 90 with the inline 6 engine, is amazing and just as luxurious! The cabin is quiet the ride is smooth and have taken several road trips without any problems. We have been very impressed with the gas mileage on this AWD as well. The third row is ideal for anyone under 5.11, and it’s very convenient to have rear AC that can be controlled by rear passengers.

Great service...Tom was great to work with and was able to meet my needs and expectations. Financing was quick and easy. Spent a total of an hour in the whole process. Spent more time test driving and looking at the great selection of Mazdas.
2024 Mazda CX-90 review
If you're thinking about the PHEV version of this car, here's my take on it from personal experience: Pros: Quiet Ride: It's super quiet, which is great. Nice Interior: The inside feels fancy and comfortable. Fun to Drive: It handles well and is enjoyable on the road. Middle Row Seats: The bucket seats are comfy and make extra space for stuff. Cons: Short Electric Range: Even though they say it can go 26 miles on electric, I mostly get just 20 miles. And it takes forever (like 13 hours) to charge, sometimes not even fully. The 495 miles of highway that Mazda states seems very lofty and exaggerated Quick to Lose Charge: The battery drains faster than you'd expect. Slow Acceleration: It doesn't pick up speed as quickly as you'd think because of some lag. Wireless Charging Issues: The wireless charger is hit or miss and really slow. Sensor Problems: The car sensors aren't always right. They've mistakenly warned me of cars ahead when there weren't any, which is annoying. Infotainment System: If you've used Mazda systems before, you know they can be a pain. Simple stuff like pausing music or connecting your phone can be frustrating. And you need the most expensive version to get a touchscreen. Final Thoughts: I'm not here to bash the CX90-PHEV. Just want to share what I've found for anyone thinking about getting one. If you're considering it, maybe look into leasing to take advantage of any credits. Overall, it's not a bad car when things work.

2025 Mazda CX-90 review
5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Outstanding Service & Amazing CX-90 from Mazda of Orland Park! We recently purchased the 2025 Mazda CX-90 AWD from Mazda of Orland Park, and We couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. From start to finish, the service was exceptional — professional, smooth, and stress-free. A special thank you to Chris Duer, who went above and beyond throughout the process. Chris was knowledgeable, transparent, and genuinely committed to helping us find the right vehicle. He made sure every detail was covered, took the time to answer all our questions, and made us feel confident in our purchase from the moment we walked in. The CX-90 AWD is a phenomenal SUV — powerful, luxurious, and equipped with all the latest tech and safety features. It drives like a dream and checks every box I had for comfort, performance, and design. The entire team at Mazda of Orland Park made the buying process seamless, from financing to delivery. Chris ensured we were fully comfortable with every step and that we left knowing how to get the most out of my new Mazda. If you're in the market for a vehicle and want a dealership that values honesty, quality service, and customer care — ask for Chris Duer at Mazda of Orland Park. You won’t be disappointed!

Gunther Mazda review
Gunther Mazda redeemed this vehicle purchase experience for me and I’m so grateful for both Nelly and Oliver! First, I dealt with Nelly over the phone and I was so pleasantly surprised at how nice she was and even nicer in person. She gave me an out the door price with no hassle via email before she even knew how serious I was. She is the reason why I felt so comfortable coming in. Then once I came in, Oliver took over and was a smiling face throughout the experience! I immediately felt better being there than the other dealership I visited. He answered my questions and was very straightforward in the most pleasant way even when dealing with the numbers of the sale. I was celebrating a special occasion for myself with this purchase and he absolutely made it all the more significant and memorable for me and I don’t think I’ll forget it for a long time coming. I will be recommending Gunther Mazda, specifically Nelly R. and Oliver A. to friends, family, and anyone else in the market.

We had a vehicle shipped from another location and it was such an easy, no hassle way of purchasing the car we'd been looking for! Rodney Jones was relaxed, no pressure, and funny! We enjoyed our time with him. The trade value on our old car was extremely fair & we were in and out in about 4 hours on a Friday night. Great experience all around!

Napleton's North Palm Hyundai review
I had an absolutely exceptional experience with the service department. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with professionalism, courtesy, and genuine hospitality. The advisors took the time to clearly explain the process, provided transparent updates, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. The technicians were efficient, thorough, and highly skilled, ensuring my vehicle was serviced to the highest standards. I appreciated the attention to detail and how they went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled quickly without sacrificing quality. The entire visit was seamless, stress-free, and customer-focused. It’s rare to find a team so dedicated to delivering top-notch service, trust, and reliability. I will definitely be returning for all my future service needs and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an outstanding, five-star experience.”
2024 Mazda CX-90 review
It’s been such a pleasure to own and drive the cx90! My only complaint is I wish it got better gas mileage. The AWD works very well, the inline 6 is more than enough power to drive the vehicle fully loaded with luggage and 6 passengers for 4 hour trips. Overall it’s been an excellent vehicle to own a drive. Driving is believing!

Phillip followed through with his promises to send me floor mats after I bought a Miata RF. We all agreed to OTD price orally then met me half way in Okeechobee to swap cars! Character counts including trust, reliability, honor, and happiness. Henry from Cape Canaveral
