An Unexpected Experience

My family and I went to Gibson Truck World about a month ago to look for a new vehicle. I had spoken to Ricky a few times over the phone and told him I???d be in over the weekend- I did not specify which day or time. When we arrived at Gibson, we were greeted by Troy. When I told Troy that I was there to see Ricky, he told me Ricky was with a customer, but that he???d be happy to help me since they were ???desk partners???. I felt a little weird about that since I worked in sales in the past- and I didn???t want someone other than Ricky to get all of the credit for a sale- should we decide to buy. Troy assured me it was ok, and said he???d show me around until Ricky was freed up, so we agreed. It should be noted, that it was pretty hot outside as we walked all over the property. Furthermore, I had my two boys , five and six years of age, in tow. So, after hours of walking, multiple brownies that were provided to my boys, NUMEROUS test drives and moving vehicles around so my wife could see them next to each other, we told Troy that we would have to think about things a bit further. I would???ve been furious... Troy, on the other hand, simply said ???We want you to be happy with your purchase. Come back whenever you???re ready???. This absolutely amazed me. There was no ???well what do we have to do to get you into a truck today??? and no ???well let me at least sit you down so you can talk to my manager???. It was right then, I knew I meant it when I said, ???we???ll be coming back???. Fast forward about one month, we were back. We looked at multiple ???big name??? Chevrolet dealerships over the past month, and found nice trucks- all of which had HUGE price tags. When we got back to Gibson, again, we were greeted by Troy. Troy remembered who we were and began helping right away. He even remembered that Ricky was the salesman who was originally helping me over the phone. So, after arguing, or assertively debating, with my wife the whole GMC vs Chevy ... ???we??? finally agreed that the Chevy she, I mean ???we??? liked was the one to go with. So as we???re at the table to sign the paperwork- after yet another few hours of looking and moving cars around- we got a call from another dealership about a truck I was looking at earlier that day. The dealership called and said they found something for me that met all of my requests. When I talked to my wife- we didn???t know what to do. Troy had worked so hard to help us- which again included the task of keeping my kids entertained via cookies, a brownie and a pack of M&M???s. When I told Troy about the other dealership- after all of his hard work- again, he simply said ???we just want you guys to be happy??? and ensured us that he was not going to try and ???sell??? us. Yet again, I couldn???t believe his patience. When I phoned the other dealership to see if they could get me this price, and the truck delivered a day sooner- all I got was ???possibly??? and ???maybe???. That???s when we decided to go ahead and buy our truck then and there at Gibson. And just to confirm what a stand up guy Troy was, I was pleased to see both he and Ricky???s name on the vehicle???s sales folder. I can honestly say that Gibson Truck World provided me with the greatest sales experience I???ve ever had- so much so that this entire review was written on my tiny cell phone with my large fat fingers- very well deserved though! Thank you guys so much, and Troy, we will definitely be back. Thanks again!
