2023 Subaru Forester review
Overall, at 60k miles, I’ve had no problems and am very happy. I average around 34 mpg’s with mixed driving. I’m happy with the acceleration as well, even though Subaru’s without a turbo are sometimes labeled as slow. I have no problem merging onto highways. The Forester is an easy to live with SUV/car. The rear room is adequate, although the CRV offers about 10 cubic feet more rear capacity. Visibility is excellent. The CVT is smooth and has simulated shifts, just make sure you change the fluid every 30k! I own the Limited with leather seats that are very comfortable. Sometimes the response time on the radio/touch screen can feel a little delayed. I also opted for the dimming driver/rear view mirrors which is great during winter commuting. It saves your eyes from glare. Very view cars offer this which is why I went with the Subaru. My only “major” complaint with the car is a slight rattle coming from the dash board area. It isn’t always there, but is present enough to bother me. Aside from that it is an excellent vehicle and value for the money!

2019 Subaru Forester review
I’ve driven the Forester before and have been wanting one for two years. So now that it was time for me to give up my 2010 Legacy with 222,000 miles on it, I chose the Forester. The dealer is very customer friendly and very competitive in their pricing, even though I paid 25K plus for a four year old car…vestiges of the used car pandemic pricing. The car drives beautifully, smooth and quiet. I am very happy with my purchase.

2016 Subaru Forester review
I was impressed how well I can see out of the car at all angles. It is difficult for me to turn my body due to neck, hip and back problems. I am 5'10" and have very long legs. This car also has alot of head and leg room. My daughter rides comfortably in her booster seat in the middle seat. I feel I have more control and better handling with this car then any other. I have had a Honda Accord, Volvo XC90, Toyota Corolla and Cadillac Deville in recent years. My only complaint is the front seats are uncomfortable. (My other car is a Deville which feels like a recliner.) There isn't anything fancy about the car but I just have the base model. I am happy with all the features and the gas mileage is awesome. There is a ton on truck space.

2019 Subaru Forester review
I recently had my car stolen and totaled. I actually work for the dealership and enjoy the work I do with the company. Mr krohn has been helping me out for the past month and a half with a car. It has been difficult but with the patience and time he has given my mom and I, I could not be more grateful for him! He worked with my mom and I till the very end and has been nothing but helpful. I ended up getting a 2019 subaru forester. Lots of room and a perfect vehicle into the middle of my adult life. I hope this car lasts me through the next few years. My experience shopping for and ultimately buying a new Kia EV9 from Ourisman Kia of Bethesda at the end of May 2026 was exemplary from start to finish. Kevin Flores, from the sales floor, was friendly and helpful. There was no pressure to buy, I was able to see multiple colors and variations of the EV9, and there were none of the stereotypical car sales games. I was given reasonable numbers, Kevin worked with me and the management team to make sure the lease numbers I ended up with were a good fit for the car, trade, and life circumstances, and while there was some extended waiting between accepting a deal and getting final paperwork signed, that was largely down to me opting for a walk-in visit and purchasing same day, on a busy day - and Kevin kept me up to date as things progressed, while making sure everything that could be done ahead of finance office visit was done (including car detailing and charging top-up, preliminary paperwork signing, getting personal items out of my trade, etc). When it was my turn in the finance office, Troia Collins was equally great - acknowledging the time I'd already spent at the dealership and quickly getting through the remaining process without rushing me or skipping any important info. She fully respected what they knew about how I'd be using the car and other factors, and while she was sure to offer every available benefit and explain implications, she didn't press on any of the optional extras. Finally, a note on facilities: while situated in an on-street storefront in a busy urban area -- an unusual setup for a car dealership -- the space was easily a class above any other Kia dealership I've stepped foot in, inside and out. It was comfortable and tastefully decorated, while also maintaining a friendliness and welcoming atmosphere and that oft-pretentious upscale aesthetics often mean is lacking. I love the car, and am glad I made the hour long trek to Bethesda based on the positive reviews I'd seen rather than looking at options closer to home. The inventory is great, the staff are friendly and knowledgable, and at the end of an admittedly long day, I couldn't have been happier; Highly recommend.
2017 Subaru Forester review
Had this car for seven years, never any problems, very low mileage. Very nice to drive, smooth gas mileage around 30 mpg. Traded it in for a new forester, I actually was ready to cry, when I left it. Very reliable.

2017 Subaru Forester review
The Forester is a great value. It is roomy yet extremely nimble. Our average fuel economy is 30mpg with plenty of power. It has great visibility with no blind spots. The all wheel drive works well. It is great when you have to drive in bad weather. My only complaint is dealership service costs seem high, even for routine services. Independent garages have more reasonable costs. There have been no major repairs needed on our Subaru. We were a Honda family ( 20+ yrs) so changing to the Subaru was a big deal. We were not disappointed.

2/27/2025 Service Visit Excellent visit with great service. Service department called me to discuss waiting time prior to my departure. I was greeted and treated extremely well during visit. I waited in their service department lounge. Wait time was as discussed. Miguel the service agent kept me informed of progress, discussed the service performed, confirmed what services were due in the future. Asked me if I wanted car wash and got that done quickly. I am very fond of the dealership even after it changed hands from previous ownership. Great job by IG Burton. I will keep bringing my 2022 Outback here for service, where I purchased the vehicle, even though it is further than the dealership near me. I also stopped into the customer service department to ask a question about my Subaru application and was happy with the friendly agent and the time spent answering my question.

We own three Foresters in my family. They all are super cars in any weathers and we have never had any problems with them. We do all service work at the dealership and have been really happy with them.

2015 Subaru Forester review
Bought my 2015 Subaru 2.0XT Touring brand spanking new off the Subaru dealership's lot. Have owned it all this time about 9 years straight. Take care of your car with regular oil changes, servicing at recommended intervals, and your car will take care of you. Performed the required recalls during service periods. Not 1 single regret on owning this car, ever. It rides smooth and true. Had a clicking issue in the ball joints 2 years ago which Subaru fixed free of charge. Other than that, this car has been my dream machine.

2016 Subaru Forester review
I've never owned a Subaru before but after purchasing the Forester, I may never own anything but a Subaru again! I love the Eyesight Drivers Assistant that it came equipped with. I can see why this car has one of the best safety ratings out there. The interior is very open, spacious, & comfortable and the panoramic sunroof is amazing! It drives and handles like a dream. I would recommend this car to anyone. You won't be disappointed!

2017 Subaru Forester review
I have owned my 2017 Forester since late 2016. Except for normal maintenance I've had no problems with thr vehicle. All of the warning systems work very well,they have saved me from accidents numerous times. The automatic seat repositioning when some one else has used my is really handy eliminates all the adjusting needed to get the position back to my needs. Traction and controll during winter and bad weather are excellent. My forrester get used like a truck at times. Great overall car.

2019 Subaru Forester review
I had to make a 5 1/2 hour drive recently and loved how smoothly my car drove, especially using cruise control with “eyesight” so it slowed when I was too close to the car in front of me. I couldn’t even feel it; I watched the speedometer. Love the safety features and extras like seat warmers and large sunroof.

2016 Subaru Forester review
This 2016 Premium model has some wonderful upgrades but I wish that I could read the screen when the full sun obscures it. I really liked the more boxy design of my 2002 Premium, but I guess everything has to change.

2009 Subaru Forester review
I bought my 2009 forester with 200k on the click. She was well locked after but has a few scratches here and there but paint work is still beautiful. Performance is great but she is heavy on fuel. This is expected from an AWD as the engine is pulling all 4 wheels continuously at the same time. No oil leaks, aircon works well. The only major issue I have had was the thermostat falling. I caused my radiator to crack due to pressure building up. I removed it and she is running perfectly. I live at the coast in South africa so our winter temp never drop below 10° and our summer average at 30°. Overall, I'll will be buying another forester with it's great space and power....love it

2016 Subaru Forester review
It drives like a dream. I enjoy driving it and so does my husband. The visibility is awesome. It sticks to the ground and takes corners and curves well. It is comfortable and we have driven on several long trips with it. The drawback is storage. We had three people on one trip and with 3 suitcases, a cooler, and the sundry items you pick up, there was barely room for a passenger in the back. The ride was great even through some awful weather. Daily drive is great and I consistently get better gas mileage than on the sticker, unless my husband drives then it is worse. Lol.

2009 Subaru Forester review
Have a 2009 with 110K miles on it. Very dependable. Averaging 25.8 MPG right now- not too bad for older AWD. I do drive the speed limit and accelerate probably slower than most, and brake easy. Only averaged 24 or so on the Oregon 101 by ocean- hilly, curvy and logging trucks on my butt. Good car. Don't miss my big has guzzler at all!!

2015 Subaru Forester review
Bought this car three years old with less than 50K miles on it. I’ve loved it since we got it. It has been very reliable, fun to drive, with pretty minor drawbacks. For example the maintenance has been very minimal. I haven’t noticed ANY oil burning or leaking (I have personally changed the oil every 3-4K miles). Sometimes on long trips it will burn some oil and need a top off, which the car alerts us to. Overall I’d buy this car over and over as long as it fit my needs at the time. Currently looking into an Ascent for future hockey trips and other trips.

2003 Subaru Forester review
i brought this car for $1,800 second hand with 293,000 on the meter, the engine has been running perfectly since ive had it. Ive only had a few problems with it as expected with the price i brought it for. the front drive shaft gave out resulting in one of my wheels comming off completly but was booked in with the mechanic anyway, other than that i've had pretty much no problems at all, ive driven it 4000 and have loved every second of it, being just night drives, random drives, beach drives its been a great car though it

2018 Subaru Forester review
Great value considering the superior safety features, low maintenance and reliability. Rear wheel bearings have been replaced twice and just had the AC compressor and serpentine belt replaced. Albeit expensive repairs, all cars need something after the first 3 years. It's been 8 years and the car still run and drives like new.

2017 Subaru Forester review
The Subaru Forester is indeed one of the safest cars on the road. I was in an auto accident (not my fault) and all my air bags blew. Wow, what a site--air bags everywhere! Car was totalled--got hit in front drivers side--and my only injury, aside from bruises, was a broken ankle. Impressed. Aside from that, we have had several Subarus and they have always gotten us through. The all-wheel drive system can not be beat!
