Original equipment tires wore out at 20,000 miles. Replacement Uniroyal Tiger Paws went 42000 more miles. Was unable to meet factory specs for wheel alignment. Despite that replacement set of tires wore evenly. If you purchase a new Subaru require that dealership align and show you results are at factory specs before taking delivery. The radio controls are difficult to use. touch screen is insensitive in cold weather. Radio knobs taper away from you so are difficult to grasp. Overall electronics are way overly complicated. Handling is very good. I like the CVT trans. It matches the power curve of the engine. Very secure car at highway speeds. Great traction in wet/snow. Zero mechanical problems. Great carrying capacity. I am at 62000 miles and will keep the car for several more years. Remarkable fuel mileage of 34.5 MPG overall.

I first owned a 2013 impreza. I totaled it at 103,500 miles and bought a 2018 impreza with 7800 miles. You would think after 5 years Subaru would get their bluetooth connectivity issues fixed. But obviously not. I'm playing music in my car get out of my car with it still running, get back in my car put it in reverse and my phone randomly disconnects and will not reconnect until I restart the car. And heaven forbid you take your seat belt off a split second before you put it in park because it will beep like crazy even after it's in park! So stupid! I feel like my 2013 impreza was a little quicker as well. My 2013 had all the recall/lawsuit problems so hopefully the 2018 is better build quality . Other then those small problems it's been a great car and I like it.

Anyone looking for a reliable used vehicle at Kareem Auto Sales in Sacramento must ask for Angelo and also have a talk with Sal. These two guys are remarkable and changed the way I think about buying a vehicle from a used car dealership. I did a long research prior to my trip from out of state and Angelo made my car buying experience very outstanding . He was very accommodating yet gave me plenty of time to make a decision and allowed me to inspect the vehicle on my own (unlike others who tail you all the time). The atmosphere at Kareem was pleasant. There was no pressure and the staff didn’t seem stressed out thanks to Sal’s management style. The process of getting my truck was pain free and when I took it to Toyota for a multi point inspection I was very pleased when they said everything checked out and there was nothing wrong with my truck which is quite a relief. I will buy my wife her next vehicle at Kareem Auto Sales and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best deal in town.

I have owned this car for almost 4 years now and love it. I'm almost six feet tall and I fit comfortably inside it though if someone is behind me they may be a bit scrunched up. If you're a smaller person you'll have no problem fitting into one of these. Car handles great, the AWD is great for Colorado Winter Driving. Never had a problem there. Only minor complaint is that I can't see the end of the hood so I've hit a couple of curbs in my time. With it being smaller and shorter than the outback, the hatchback version is great for getting around some of the narrow streets here in Denver and the car can fit a surprising amount inside of it. Would highly recommend the vehicle.

I drove this Subaru Sport Premium for 6 years. My first AWD car and I loved it! This car blew my Mazda 3 wagon out of the water. There was no comparison for driving in snow, ice and rain in New England. It was the mid model and I was very happy. Cloth seats were fine and comfortable, ample storage. Bluetooth was bad, and generally the cars Tech was sub par. My major complaint was the advertised 26 city / 37 hwy MPG. This estimate IS criminally wrong. Not even close, after 6 years the best combine was 25 MPG and that included round trip drives from Boston to Montreal with NO stop lights for 100s of miles. Also issue with 'wheel bearings' at the tune of $500. According to the mechanic, Subarus are know for this issue and this was only one rear wheel, uugh. But this car did me fine for 6 years and choose to trade up to a new brand and leave the awful MPG and 'wheel bearings' behind. I'll see how the Buick Encore goes for 6 years.

My tire pressure light on my brand new Forester (purchased in San Jose) went on a couple days before heading through Sacramento for a work meeting. That light still hadn't gone out as the weather adjusted from Monsoon weather to fair Northern Cal weather, so I made a detour to Maita by reference to Cars.com's service finder on the app... I didn't have a service appointment, but they were able to squeeze me in and address the issue at no charge. Everyone was friendly, the appointment was fast, and I thank Maita for their help and hospitality (esp John in Service!).

Fabulous car, some downsides

To be honest, the car is great. It looks and feels great in and out. The seats are stylish and the dash is sleek and has a large touch screen (mines a Sport model). However, there are downsides. I love how cool the screen is, but not having buttons feels dangerous. I have to look down too much to hit the buttons since I can’t feel then like a regular radio/whatever. Secondly, whoever thought it was a good idea not to make he cup holders round is crazy. Half is curved, but then it’s straightens out to look like a short bullet shape. What this means is that no cup is secure and the drinks bounce around and when you learn about it it’s from spilling coffee all over in your brand new car cuz you went over train tracks. Third, the transmissions jerks sometimes when you let off the accelerator. When it downshifts you can feel the car since back as the transmission starts to stop the car when it should be saving energy by coasting. These I’m told are normal traits in the car. Lastly, the 28mpg city rating is false. I get 20 in the city driving like a grandpa. Apparently these things suck when the engine is could and my 2 miles commute sees the worst efficiency I can imagine for a brand new 4 cylinder with such a good rating. All in all though, I like it and it’s a sexy car.

My 2011 Mazda 3 had developed a strange electrical issue - the reading lights would come on randomly and the car alarm would go off just as randomly. I always have this car serviced at Maita Mazda, Sacramento. I took it in and the problem was quickly diagnosed: a faulty rear door latch was causing the reading lights to come on and the alarm to go off. While I had the car in, I had the 90,000 mile service done. Ricky Monsod is our "go-to" service advisor at Maita. He always treats us right (we have "his and hers Mazda-ratis") and sees to it that our cars are well-maintained. The dealership overall is the best I've ever dealt with regardless of the make of car I've owned in the past. The excellent service at Maita Mazda has helped make my wife and I very loyal Mazda owners. As a footnote, we are very happy to see that Maita is now giving complementary car washes to service customers. My car was delivered back to me sparkling clean.

I'm at the very beginning of using my new Subaru Impreza and I can not rejoice that this is exactly what I wanted, there is enough space for legs and shoulders, the car is fast and very maneuverable and most importantly has all wheels drive like the rest of Subaru. I absolutely love my 2015 Impreza, it's extremely reliable in all types of weather thanks to its AWD system. I've never had any issues with performance or with its comfort. My one issue is slight and more surface related, but the screen and the operating system is very wonky. Their standard Starlink system doesn't work very well in this model, although I believe they did a lot to improve it in later models. Small complaint, but otherwise I've thoroughly enjoyed my car and would recommend it to anyone.

My service guy was very helpful. I had my car there for it's regular service. The day before, I had accidentally run over a piece of debris on the freeway. It had pushed the protective panel under my bumper up. I asked to have it looked at and assessed. My service guy said they would have to probably charge me a half hour to fix it. When I checked out, he informed me that they had pulled it back into place, and secured it as best as they could, but it was not fixed 100%. He recommended that I take it to a body shop, because the part really needed to be replaced. He didn't charge me for the incomplete repair. That's old-school American business ethics. We need more businesses operating from a morally centered set of ethics like that. Thanks Downtown Ford, Dave Petsick

First Subaru but not first AWD

I bought this yesterday Feb 1 2019 with 20,700 miles on it from the dealership at Southpointe Hendricks Subaru in Durham, NC. I think the dealership did not give a great deal. charged more than they should have. I got black Premium. The car seems higher than the sport model i tried in a different place which had everything on it. This one doesn't have the blind spot or auto braking before a collision and I think I should have had that. The car drives well but has a lot of body roll and some engine noise. Though outside noise is negligent. Brakes well and corners well as the turning radius is smaller than the legacy. It doesn't feel as planted as my BMW 2011 3 series with X Drive but that is a different category of car altogether. But for all the other cars in it's price range drives very well and looks stylish and classy in black as well as the AWD which even in if you have some snowy days in the winter is useful as well as in the rainy days in all the other seasons. I cannot say much of reliability as i have not owned it but one day. Hope it is. All in all, the affordability and the AWD and the safety that drew me to the first Japanese car I have bought. And no, not a BMW but drives well and I am satisfied.

My partner and I have been looking for a specific vehicle for YEARS. We live in the southern California desert. We saw exactly what we wanted on Armani Motor's website. We used CarFax and were treated so well.. we were willing to drive 7 h 30 min (519.9 mi) just to see, and test drive, the SUV. We wouldn't do that for just any vehicle but the pictures and the descriptions were so helpful, we knew we would end up buying it. And we did. Alex was just an amazing salesman. He was knowledgeable, used facts and was so very helpful with different options to work with. The price was exactly what was stated. The SUV was clean, maintained and ready for us to test drive. We were out of the dealership and driving back home in under an hour. On the way home a "check engine" light came on. He immediately said since we were in the process of still heading back to Southern California, to keep him posted, get it checked and he would take care of it as soon as we knew what was going on. It turned out to be a minor sensor malfunction. He even called US back to make sure it, and us, were okay. You just don't see that type of customer service these days. It was so very welcome and we can't thank him enough for actually helping us own an amazing vehicle that we've wanted for so long. He's trustworthy, and just a great guy. Thank you Alex.

I had been looking for several months for a used Jeep Wrangler, I found exactly what I was looking for on CarGurus at Armani Motors in Roseville. We???d like to begin by thanking and acknowledging Chad Kurtz and David Broussau, the phenomenal service advisors and all of the brilliant service technicians behind the scenes for always providing us with first-class service. In 2006, we purchased our first MDX and I (Anne) remember feeling nervous when working with the service department without my husband present; however, in no time, that self-derived intimidation disappeared. A majority of the time, Mr. Kurtz or Mr. Broussau always welcome us at the service driveway asking how they may help. These gentlemen are very patient with us, given our limited proficiency in vehicle maintenance. Recently, we met a new service advisor (new to us), Jose Rosales, whom is just as helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Eric Jones and his team in the Parts Department are all competent, have given us great recommendations on accessories and we have enjoyed working with them as well. Two MDXs, one RDX and 11 years later with Elk Grove Acura, we received an email from Gloria Kang and late evening March 30th, we purchased our fourth vehicle, a 2017 RDX with only 11 miles ??? wow! Mrs. Kang is the most knowledgeable sales advisor we have met. Her Acura models history, advanced expertise and options proposed to us were absolutely impressive! Friendly people, good price but the used car that I bought needed an oil change and break fluid service the very next day and they didn't do that for me!!! I spend $350 just for the services that was due and didn't get done .!!

This car is an AWD car like all Subaru's and it also had phenomenal gas mileage. Recently went on its first long road trip and it got an average of 39 miles to the gallon. I have had other cars of it type and none of them feel as sturdy as this one. The only issue that I have with this car is sometimes the backup camera can have issues, but this is supposed to be fixed in an update.

I went through Consumer Reports online option so that I could complete as much of my car search and negotiations at arm???s length. Having all the info in writing allows me to think logically, choose exactly what I need, and compare prices, values, and features. I get anxious heebee-geebees having to go up against a salesperson and decide about anything on the spot. When that happens, i always end up feeling that I???ve been bamboozled. Mostly the Consumer Reports ???True Car??? approach worked, with just a few hitches. The first big hitch is that when you sign up, you have to provide both a phone number and an email address. There is no way on the signup to indicate one???s preference for contact, or whether there is a problem with any form of contact. (For example, I???m a teacher, and it is absolutely not OK to call me during the school day, which almost all of them did.) So, within three minutes of clicking yes for quotes, my phone started ringing and dozens of emails began pouring in, sometimes from multiple agents at the same dealership. And since Consumer Reports sends the request to three different dealers, the bombardment is from three different dealerships. It???s awful. But once I reached the callers and told them to STOP CALLING and reach me only by email, the calls slowed down. The second hitch is that once my butt was in the chair for the paperwork, they came at me with unexpected offers of all kinds of extended this and that policies, special protective treatments for the paint (I kept remembering the ???True Coat??? scene in the movie ???Fargo,??? and felt a mixture of irritation and amusement. Classic car-dealership sleaze moves.) If I had known this crap was coming, I would have refused to sit down with the paperwork guys until this information had been given to me in writing so that I could go home and read it, research it, and make a cool, dispassionate, logical decision. I ended up being talked into a $3,200 service/protection plan (???only $50 a month for five years, and you get eight years of coverage!!!), and ended up angry with them and myself. Went back a few days later to deliver my final check after receiving my outside financing, and told the finance guy how annoyed I was with that add-on. He was a bit defensive at first, but then switched tactics: of course I could decline the add-on, but I???d have to wait to have it refunded by Toyota finance. WHAT? I didn???t even take Toyota finance! No luck getting him to understand how offensive it was to have them move ahead with Toyota finance when we had an agreement that I was not taking Toyota finance, and had seven days to secure my own. Whatever. I was going to have to wait for refund of the $3,200. Then they guy came at it again; I could get this policy for $1,000 less (???our employee and family discount price???)! He talked me into that. I think ??? think, not believe totally ??? that the protection plan is reasonably helpful, given all the sophisticated electronics in my vehicle. But I???m still walking around with deep resentment of the process. In the end, I got a good car with the features I wanted, at an OK price, explained well by the internet salesmen with whom I worked. I was treated respectfully, which is important to me as a woman buying on my own. But next time I???ll work hard to head off the last-minute crud at the end, and demand to have all that info in writing before I even poke my head into the office of the bookkeeping/finance guys.

My 2017 Impreza Sport has been flawless, The miles per gallon have been great, but 10% less than rates because I drive it aggressi. I love the new platform of a small SUV hatchback. There is so much space to carry loads of luggage.
