2018 Toyota 4Runner review
Love my 4Runner but the only thing wrong with it is the KDSS problems that no one knows how to fix. Light comes on in the winter and starts leaking. Dealer replaced it once and they paid the $4, 000.00 because it was the first time that they had seen this. Now it almost winter and the lights coming back on.

2023 Toyota 4Runner review
It’s a 2023 so it only has 25’000 miles on it at this time, but I’m absolutely satisfied with the purchase. Sure, it’s not designed to be fast, ultra-comfortable, fuel efficient, but it excels in handling rough ranch roads and rough Dallas city potholes, nice narrow body for tight parking. It’s great as a highway cruiser, and the secret of the 4Runner is if you go 30-40mph over a fairly level road (AC off) you’ll hit 60mpg! Quite happy with it, a real urban assault vehicle, wish they came with a better selection of exterior colours though 👍

2025 Toyota 4Runner review
I purchased a 2025 4Runner TRD Pro and only in a few hundred miles I love it. I had a few 5th generation 4Runners and they were great. But this is a whole new level with the 6th generation. Great ride, comfort, technology, and capabilities is unmatched by the previous generations. The only thing I don't was the price tag. But personally, I would do it again.

I both bought and sold a car here recently. My sales associate CARLTON BOWEN was fantastic. SOLD: They gave me a very fair price on a 2003 Honda CRV with roughly 180K miles. The process was quick and painless. You do not have to buy a car from them to sell a car to them. I had done my homework before and knew what it was worth and I was offered a price higher than Kelly Blue Book. BUY: Buying a used car was more complicated. It took test driving many and lots of time on their website before I found one that met the very specific details I was looking for. I decided on CarMax because I did have a very specific car in mind that I had not been able to find private seller in the two plus months I'd been looking. Also, my sales associate CARLTON BOWEN was fantastic.He spent roughly a month helping me look at cars making calls to other dealerships and coordinating multiple test drives etc. I know having him as a salesperson made a huge difference. I had looked at other dealerships and was treated only like a wallet from the moment I entered. He worked hard to help me find what I needed in a car and was pleasant and respectful the entire time. Not at all the experience I had at other dealerships. With all of the hidden fees etc other places have, carmax was not more expensive. I was glad not to give my money to sketchy people at another place.
2016 Toyota 4Runner review
I owned a Nissan Pathfinder and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I reviewed,looked over and test drove the 4Runner. Honestly and truly,I fell in love with the feature's,capabilities,the mileage capabilities because I have learned to tweak the computer a little. After 6 year's in Dec.,it looks almost as good as it did the day I bought it! I am very cognizant of the care my vehicle gets,and when the Dealer kept disregarding my complaint's about oily finger print's and oily body print's on my 4Runner,I fired them because of this,and the LIE THEY TOLD ME,saying that they no longer use Fender Cover's like they did when I bought it from them BRAND NEW! I FIRED THEM! Dealer prices are already in the Cloud's and with that price,I expect excellence at every level of service to my vehicle. I did have a Ceramic Coating applied when it was Brand New,and the shine is still so brilliant that I still get a Ton of Compliment's and stares from other SR5 4Runner owner's. The paint color is Midnight Blue Metallic. Thats a very pleasing feeling also knowing that I can pull up next to a little car,and he can see every detail of his vehicle and even the face of his passenger in the paint! This page is not long enough to say how much I am still enamored with this vehicle. It still has only 54000 miles on it and not even broken in! Always stay ahead of the curve on your Oil Changes and preventative maintenance and she just might be with you longer than your last wife?

2025 Toyota 4Runner review
I have a blue Trd sport premium, 2025. So far I love this truck! It has hard plastic throughout the interior, which makes it easy to clean. Love the 14 inch screen, and the 360 cameras. Wheels on the Trd sport are some of the best looking wheels out there. If you want a few options, but aren't going off road, trd sport premium is a great option.

2011 Toyota 4Runner review
Steve from AZ with 2022 review...dude, you must have gotten one made on Monday or Friday as the saying goes. I'm on my 3rd 4Runner since 1995, and I am looking for another one now. Our oldest son totaled the 95 in 2003 in his senior year of high school, head on collision, and walked away without a scratch. We replaced it with a 2001. I rolled that one 2x in my 1st accident in Oct 2011. I got hit by wildlife and knocked off the other side of the road. I was doing good keeping it steady, but it wasn't slowing down, and I knew not to hit the brakes on the wet grass--I forgot my cruise control was on. So I rolled it 2x and hung upside down in the middle of a swamp until the police found me, but not a scratch on me. We replaced that one with a 1999, and I'm still driving it. It looks like xxxx cosmetically and the leather seats have been destroyed by the 7 rescue dogs that have been part of our family since 2012, but it has only stopped running once. I've had what I would call 2 major repairs on 3 4Runners. The brake booster and master cylinder last year on this 99, and some type of sensor down below the belt that caused a major oil leak and then it wouldn't start this past spring. The part was only $25, but I paid my mechanic neighbor $200 to do the repair instead of $800 for labor elsewhere. And it was already 23 years old and had 225,000 & 230,000 miles on it before those 2 things happened. And just FYI from an old lady, NEVER take a vehicle to a dealership to be repaired! I'm probably a bit older than you so I learned that lesson decades ago. Find a good independent mechanic and treat them like you do your Mama because they are an important person in this life. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with yours, but I have loved every single one of mine, and the thought of driving something else literally hurts my feelings. Hope you are blessed in whatever you drive now!

2023 Toyota 4Runner review
Just purchased by 3rd 4runner Limited. Love that Toyota is reliable and I like sitting up over looking traffic. Toyota's hold there resale value. I did not purchase the extended warranty, I've never used it previously and think it's a waste of money unless you pur a EV. Also, the dealership might try to get you to buy windshield coverage....it's already in my auto insurance coverage. Shop around for rates, usually a credit union has pretty good rates if your credit score is good. Dealerships generally run higher interest rates. Also, make sure you get 2 key fobs. Just offering some general buying tips.

I’m not typically one to write reviews, but my experience with CarMax has been so outstanding that I feel compelled to share. From start to finish, they’ve redefined my expectations for buying a vehicle. I found a car online that checked every box for me—low miles, all the specs I wanted, and fantastic photos that gave me confidence in its condition. The only catch? It was located at a CarMax dealership in Florida, while I’m in Nashville. For just $200, they shipped it to my local CarMax dealership. Knowing the worst-case scenario was losing that $200, I felt reassured to take the leap—and I’m so glad I did. Within just a few days, the car arrived. I had a trade-in—a mid-mileage VW Atlas in good condition—and to my surprise, CarMax offered me an amazing price. I’ve done my research, and they gave me a value that was very close to what I’d seen comparable models selling for, and significantly more than I owed. Needless to say, I accepted their offer with ease. As for my new (used) car, I was impressed by the comprehensive warranty options. The extended warranty they offer feels like an insurance policy: $200 deductible for coverage up to 150,000 miles. With my car’s mileage at around 50,000, this was a no-brainer. I’ve seen glowing reviews about the warranty online, and after my own experience, I can see why. Now here’s the part that truly sets CarMax apart—the post-purchase experience. The vehicle is used, so it’s impossible to catch every little thing during a quick test drive. Thankfully, CarMax provides a 90-day warranty and has a full-service garage. I’ve been back a few times for small fixes, like the gas door not working properly, tire monitor sensors, an alignment issue, and even replacing a rear entertainment system screen. Every single issue was handled promptly and professionally, leaving me with a car that feels brand new. Shoutout to Elvis in the service department! Not only did he remember my name when I returned, but he also ensured I had a free loaner car anytime my vehicle needed to stay overnight. The customer service I’ve received from him and the entire CarMax team has been nothing short of exceptional. This entire process has been so seamless that I can confidently say CarMax will be my first stop the next time I’m in the market for a car. I’ve purchased brand-new vehicles before and never felt this satisfied. CarMax has raised the bar for what car buying and ownership should feel like. If you’re on the fence about where to purchase your next vehicle, I can’t recommend CarMax enough. From great trade-in offers to their stellar warranty program and impeccable customer service, they’ve won me over as a fan for life. 2016 Toyota 4Runner review
It's the very last body on frame bullet proof SUV. It's built like a tank is great for all types of driving situations and here in Illinois where the roads are almost as terrible as it's governor it needs to be ready to drive over potholes the size of Pritzkers rear end and handle it. I've had no problems and plan on holding onto it especially now that Toyota has taken a turn for the worse with garbage 4 cylinder turbos.

This is the biggest reason I'm happy with this car. It's actually known for reliability and I can attest to this. In fact, maintenance has been straightforward and would last well beyond 200,000 miles if cared for.

I returned to Car Max in Franklin, as I had questions for service re: the 2020 Jeep Wrangler I purchased a few weeks ago from this location. Justin helped me unhook a cable in order to get the top off the Jeep…. It was user error vs issue with the Jeep :). He helped me reset the oil life indicator, and popped the sun visor into proper place. He was all about service with a great attitude. This simple experience gave me an even more positive opinion of Car Max. Thanks!

2021 Toyota 4Runner review
My wife drives this vehicle and she is a small gal. She said it fits her great and rides very smooth. Gas mileage isnt the best but she doesnt drive it everyday so its not a big deal for us .

2023 Toyota 4Runner review
Love the car My first 4Runner that I have owned sits higher than a normal SUV .I love the lights very bright lights up the road. I have a big dog she goes in the back with plenty of room she loves that the window opens. The two negatives that I have are that my lights are not auto and the lift gate is not powered I had those in my last vehicle so I have to mentally make some adjustments. But still love the car❤️

2023 Toyota 4Runner review
Great looking, fun to drive 4x4, super reliable, leather interior but strong enough for 2 dogs and 2 kids. Goes anywhere. Roof rack easy to use. HAs all the electronic helper (BSM, cross traffic alert, lane keeping, adaptive cruise). The downside is the gas milage. 16.5 to 18 mpg depending on time of year & type of gas (summer vs winter gas). No service issues in 45,000 miles but they did some fuel pump recall when I was in for an oil change

2021 Toyota 4Runner review
One of the last SUV’s with a real 4x4 and towing capacity. The engine and transmission lasts longer than anything similar. Not the greatest mpg but this is greatly off set by reliability and longevity.
