2026 Toyota Highlander review
Like the Highlander. I purchased a platinum and got a lot of little extras, except for the one I really need. The easy exit and entry was taken out of the Highlander (at least the platinum). Because of my height (short), I have the seat very high, so I can see the front of the car. When I get out, I hit my knees against the steering wheel (because it doesn’t go up, just out). And getting in, I hit my head most of the time on the doorway. So I do not recommend this car for anyone 5’6” or shorter. If you are taller and can see the front of the hood without lifting the seat, then this is your car. Unfortunately, when I purchased the car my salesman and the dealership manager both thought that this car had this feature, they were wrong. The rest of the car is fine, nothing that I’m not used to in a Toyota.

I had an exceptional experience purchasing my 2026 Grand Highlander Hybrid Nightshade from Tyler Willis at Sheehy Toyota of Laurel. I knew the Nightshade trim would be difficult to find, and I had contacted several dealerships before reaching out to Tyler. Rather than trying to steer me toward a different trim, he went above and beyond to locate and reserve the exact Nightshade I wanted. From the very beginning, Tyler was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly responsive. He answered every question I had, kept me updated throughout the entire process, and never made me feel rushed or pressured. When I picked up my vehicle, he took the time to walk me through the features, helped me pair my phone, showed me how to use the hands-free power liftgate and fuel door, and made sure I was comfortable before I left. What really stood out was that Tyler made it clear his support didn't end after the sale. He encouraged me to call him anytime if I had questions or ran into any issues with my new vehicle, which gave me a great deal of confidence. This is my second Toyota, and although I purchased my first one from a different dealership, I chose Sheehy Toyota of Laurel solely because of Tyler Willis. I want to give a BIG shout out to Nilanga who helped me tremendously this morning when I brought my car in for an Oil Change which I scheduled the appointment for 9:45 A.M. When it was time to move my car to the garage, my car wouldn’t start. Apparently, my car has a safety mechanism when the key is left in the ignition and the car is not turned on, it shuts off and the engine doesn’t start for a while, unless I get a jump start. Nilanga and another gentleman pushed my car into a parking space, so it would not be in the way. As I was deciding on what to do next, Nilanga checked in on me. I said to him I needed a jump to get the car started. Nilanga got the battery jump box and the car immediately started. Nilanga is a kind, gracious, conscientious, caring, attentive, and concern professional. I appreciate his excellent customer service skills and is a value to Koons. I’m more than happy to give this review to him as a good worker. BTW-I did get my oil change, do not need a new battery, and got home before rush hour started. Thank you and bless you! Irma M.

2026 Toyota Highlander review
The Highlander Platinum is the best vehicle in its class. The ride is exceptional. The driver's seat is multi-adjustable. Very easy to sit the way you want. Great storage in the front cabin space. Great storage behind the second row seat. Exterior paint(pearl white) is above its class. MPG in the Hybrid model is fantastic. This is my 10th Highlander.
