2026 Toyota Highlander review
Like the Highlander. I purchased a platinum and got a lot of little extras, except for the one I really need. The easy exit and entry was taken out of the Highlander (at least the platinum). Because of my height (short), I have the seat very high, so I can see the front of the car. When I get out, I hit my knees against the steering wheel (because it doesn’t go up, just out). And getting in, I hit my head most of the time on the doorway. So I do not recommend this car for anyone 5’6” or shorter. If you are taller and can see the front of the hood without lifting the seat, then this is your car. Unfortunately, when I purchased the car my salesman and the dealership manager both thought that this car had this feature, they were wrong. The rest of the car is fine, nothing that I’m not used to in a Toyota.

I live in Virginia, where we have to pay annual personal property (vehicle) tax, so I had to be very careful with my budget when shopping for my next vehicle. My original choices were a 4Runner Off-Road Premium or an XLE Grand Highlander, but after comparing costs, I found a great deal on an SR5 and decided it was the best value. I visited many dealerships, and finding a fair deal was much harder than it should have been. I understand that dealerships don't control Toyota's vehicle allocation or inventory. However, I do believe Toyota's overall allocation strategy makes it difficult for customers to find vehicles at competitive prices. It often feels like the system is designed to maximize profits instead of making the buying process easier for customers. After many days of searching (thanks, Toyota!), I finally found the vehicle on the AutoNation website, along with another vehicle search website. I also used forums and other online resources, so I already knew what a fair out-the-door price should be. I called the dealership and, if I remember correctly, spoke with Deke Hebb. The experience was exactly how buying a car should be?no games, no unnecessary back-and-forth, and no pressure. He gave me the out-the-door price over the phone, which matched what I expected. Within a few hours, I was at the dealership and drove home in my new SR5. Almost everyone at the dealership was friendly, professional, and respectful. The sales process was straightforward, efficient, and completely stress-free. It's refreshing to find a dealership that treats customers honestly instead of relying on the typical sales tactics that so many dealers still use. My only minor complaint is the AutoNation pink license plate frame they installed on the vehicle. ? I replaced it the very next day. Overall, this was one of the easiest and most pleasant vehicle purchases I've had. If you're looking for a dealership that offers transparent pricing and a hassle-free buying experience, I would definitely recommend them.

My car was in for routine, scheduled maintenance. The service team and the service team lead were great - 5 out of 5 stars. The problem was with customer service. I made an appointment for early in the morning, and we left the vehicle there the night before. We left the key inside with the person at the service desk. I was told the work is quick, so I expected a call the next morning telling me it was ready. Instead, I received a text at 9:29 AM asking where my car was and if I planned to bring it in as scheduled. It was then difficult to get someone to call me and explain what was going on. We finally got the car in the afternoon, the morning having been wasted. The phone service to get where you want is frustrating. It took several calls to the dealership to get where I needed. The texting process, a bot you dubber Ana, is of not use. If a Bot is on the other end, that should be stated immediately and the option to speak with a human should always be easily available. Again, the people were great. But the make believe world of chat-Bots is irritating. I have purchased cars there because I had good experiences with Toyota, everything from the quality of the cars to the professionalism and positive attitude of the people working there. this most recent encounter made it seem as though I can just get it all done online and without people, people who represent the brand and the dealership and who can answer a simple question with a simple response, not something programmed in. 2026 Toyota Highlander review
The Highlander Platinum is the best vehicle in its class. The ride is exceptional. The driver's seat is multi-adjustable. Very easy to sit the way you want. Great storage in the front cabin space. Great storage behind the second row seat. Exterior paint(pearl white) is above its class. MPG in the Hybrid model is fantastic. This is my 10th Highlander.
