2025 Toyota RAV4 review
Bought my XLE premium FWD RAV4 towards the end of 2025 before non-hybrid powertrains were discontinued. I’m old school and didn’t want the hybrid driving experience or system. My fiancé and I are currently in the market for a larger vehicle that balances utility with a premium feel, and I’ve been torn between the capability of the new Land Cruiser and the sheer space of the Sequoia. While other dealerships I visited previously seemed content to just read me the window sticker, Lawrence operated on an entirely different level, providing a wealth of technical knowledge and comparative insight that was nothing short of a darn encyclopedia. What truly stood out was how Lawrence went above and beyond the call of duty; he didn't just show me the cars, but instead took the time to meticulously dissect the differences in drivetrain, interior and configurations, ensuring I understood exactly how each model would serve my needs as I transition into this next chapter of my life. It's rare to find a Fleet Manager who is willing to invest that much time and energy into a client without the immediate pressure of a "deal today," yet his patience and genuine desire to educate me made it clear that he values the relationship over everything. Even though I didn't drive home in a new SUV that same day, there is no doubt in my mind where I'll be heading when I’m ready to sign on the dotted line. If you're tired of the standard "sales pitch" and want to be treated with respect by someone who actually knows the product inside and out, do yourself a favor and ask for Lawrence at Manhattan Beach Toyota—you won't find a better experience in all of SoCal.
2025 Toyota RAV4 review
I got a couple problems, the radio disconnect sometimes and gave me mad every time I drive and the very disconnect the transmission and start kicking someone in the wall and the door make noise when I open up. I kind of disappointed because that was a new car.

In 2008, my folks bought a new Chrysler Pacifica Limited. The car sales man was great. He knew all about the car and showed us everything about it. The dealership it's self is beautiful and super clean. They also have AWESOME cars inside in which you can sit and mess around in. The overall rating is a 4 BECAUSE, it is so hard to get a hold of these guys to take the car in. We've called 4 or 5 times to only leave messages that have never been responded to, so we are planning on just going there whether they want us to or not!

One of the best vehicles I have ever owned; I do t drive much annually so the wear and tear is limited and low; if I do buy another vehicle in my life time it will be a Toyota.

2016 Toyota RAV4 review
We absolutely love our Rav 4! In fact, we’re planning on buying another one soon! Best vehicle we’ve ever owned except for the dealership we bought it from. We’re definitely buying from another dealership when we buy a new one. This one was used with pretty low miles but the dealership treated us horribly. The radio and entertainment system broke the first week after we bought it and the brakes started squealing. Also the tires they put on were the cheapest tires on the market so it’s not as good in the snow as it could be if it had good tires on it. Otherwise, it’s a phenomenal vehicle. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy one. We absolutely love it!!!

2018 Toyota RAV4 review
I picked up a 2018 Limited for under $25K with 30K miles in like new condition. These cars are amazing. The engineering is as reliable as they come. It drives like it's on rails and the gas mileage isn't too bad with the powerful 4-cylinder engine. I also have a 2019 Highlander and I love them both. Toyota makes the best cars for fair prices.

2023 Toyota RAV4 review
I recently purchased a 2023 RAV4 Hybrid and love the car in general. That said, I have one major complaint. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I was using my iPhone connected to the Multi-media screen through CarPlay, when the iPhone maps app disappeared and I got a splash screen saying “Experience Toyota Drive Connect.” There was no way to exit this screen apart from pulling over and restarting the car and reconnecting the iPhone. I googled this issue and saw various possible solutions, but none worked. I called Toyota and after multiple delays, was told that the only way to get rid of this screen is to purchase a subscription to “Go Anywhere” which includes Drive Connect and Remote Connect. The cost is $15 per month, plus whatever tax you pay in your locale. While Go Anywhere has some nice features, it should be an option, not a mandated purchase to utilize CarPlay. It seems to me that this is essentially extortion, forcing owners to purchase a subscription in order to use CarPlay. This is beneath the high standards of Toyota. I’m sure that Toyota could disable this splashscreen easily should they so desire.

2020 Toyota RAV4 review
I've had my 2020 rav4 le for several months & bought it used with 1 owner. Absolutely love it. Only complaint is 2 tiny copper clips fell out of drivers side mirror & now whenever I go to the carwash, the mirror buckles all the way fwd, then all the way backwards. It's a common problem. Other than that, beautiful car inside/out.

2024 Toyota RAV4 review
I went from a corolla cross le gas model to a rav 4 hybrid le and there is a major difference in the size and road noise. I love the gas mileage in the rav 4 hybrid. The cabin is very quiet in the rav 4 hybrid. I am glad to recommend the rav 4 hybrid over the corolla cross le gas model.

2025 Toyota RAV4 review
What I love-very attractive interior and exterior, super comfortable seats and very adjustable, excellent mpg, ventilated seats cool me off on a hot day, blind spot mirror is very comprehensive. It is smooth and easy to drive. What could be improved-it’s very loud on the inside (wind noise, engine noise, other car noise), it does not have real leather seats and for the price it should be, air conditioner is not powerful, lots of rattling from the ac when on high, CarPlay disconnects frequently. Wish I could drive it with my bike rack on without having to turn off all the safety features. Surely Toyota can figure out how to block a bike rack in the camera.

2017 Toyota RAV4 review
Id payed 17,500 for it in 2017 Rav4 and when I traded it in I got 18,000 for it when I brought a new 2025 rav4,Keeps its value..... I had 2 2017 rav4 and got the same deal 18,000 for it. So I payed 32,000 for 2 rav4 2025...... 34,000 price minus the 18,000 trade in made it 16,000 each one. Like I like got 2 for the price of one.

2018 Toyota RAV4 review

From the moment I walked into Hawthorne Motors Express back in April 2026, everyone made me feel genuinely welcomed. It wasn’t long before I realized that this wasn’t just another car dealership, it was a small, very family-owned business run by people who truly care about what they do and the customers who walk through their doors. I could immediately tell that Haas, the father, was a good and honest person who takes real pride in the quality and value of his vehicles. Vicky, the mother, is soft-spoken, kind, and always ready to help with whatever you need. Mike is one hell of a salesman! He always gave me options, listened to what I was looking for, and even kept me in mind whenever a new vehicle hit the lot. And Sara, she is absolutely amazing at what she does. As someone with challenging credit, Sara did everything she possibly could to help me get approved, working with different lenders and continuing to try for me. When you have challenging credit, it can be extremely difficult and discouraging trying to get a vehicle. After going to so many big-name dealerships and constantly being told no, you really start to lose hope. That was around the time I walked into Hawthorne Motors Express. Looking back, it honestly feels like every place I went to before them led me right to Hawthorne Motors Express. It just made sense. One thing I can confidently say is that the quality of their vehicles speaks for itself. The cars I have seen and driven have been in exceptionally good condition. They drive amazingly, aren’t sitting at insanely high mileage, and they have relatively newer vehicles with fair price tags to match. I will always root for Hawthorne Motors Express, and I will always recommend my family and friends come here when looking for their next vehicle. This family has genuinely become friends of mine. I trust that when they say they are going to take care of something pertaining to a vehicle, they will do it. They get things done! Even Marvin was incredibly sweet and genuinely excited to help customers find the perfect car for them. Every person I encountered made me feel like they actually cared. Hawthorne Motors Express is run by an honest, hardworking family that truly wants to help people get into the right vehicle. If you have challenging credit and have been discouraged or turned away by other dealerships, please don’t give up before giving them a chance. They will do everything they can to help you explore your options and get you into a vehicle. These people are the real deal. 2014 Toyota RAV4 review
Overall, the RAV4 is a great car for commuting, families of four, and space. The RAV4 is the best when it comes to reliability. The RAV4 is very spacious in the second row and the trunk and the car offers comfortable seats. The RAV4 gets okay fuel economy but it does do decent in the snow. However there are some things that it lacks. The RAV4's navigation system is very frustrating to use, just use google maps instead. The RAV4's interior quality is not that great either, there are tons of fake buttons and plastic throughout the interior, but no one who buys a RAV4 cares about the interior. The RAV4 has decent styling, but it is not as stylish as the Mazda CX-5. The RAV4 only has 1 engine option, but does not feel underpowered. The RAV4 also doesn't have a very quiet or comfortable ride. Even though the seats are comfortable, the ride is loud and the inside rattles frequently. If you don't care about luxury and want a practical, reliable car, the RAV4 is perfect.

2018 Toyota RAV4 review
I owned my former Toyota for 14 years and expect to to own my 2018 Rav4 XLE for at least that long. I've not had any problems in the 5 years that I've owned it. The SUVs appearance both inside and out is what makes it an attractive car. It has been reliable and maintenance free. I would buy another Rav4 when this one wears out in 10 years.

2023 Toyota RAV4 review
Great Car! I bought used only 10,000 miles. Lots of room inside, easy to keep clean, and great turning radius - barely use one hand to turn completely around. I see people turning with 2 hands and leaning! Not the Rav - you just guide it. Always starts, low idle, quiet, and everything adjustable. I had another Rav, and I won't change now.

We even shook hands, which is a plus because car dealership managers are usually “hiding.” 😄 When it came to dealing with the person in finance, the experience was okay, mainly because he was very persistent about selling me additional services, which I had to decline many times. After many attempts to sell me something, I ended up buying the ToyotaCare+ service. The price went from around $2,000 down to $1,000, with an additional $55 in tax. You’ve got to be kidding me! Kkkkk.

2024 Toyota RAV4 review
I went from a corolla cross le gas model to a rav 4 hybrid le and there is a major difference in the size and road noise. I love the gas mileage in the rav 4 hybrid. The cabin is very quiet in the rav 4 hybrid. I am glad to recommend the rav 4 hybrid over the corolla cross le gas model.

Bought new in 2018, have replaced battery and tires in 40000 miles. Been reliable but expected better gas mileage. 29 mpg hwy only 16 mpg in town.

So i went in already knowing what i wanted. Had my appointment already made and he was there waiting for me no issues. It was kind of strange to me how he didn’t know where the vehicles were so we had to go look for it. We walked for a bit then got into another vehicle to search for the vehicle. I think the lot and vehicle locations should be better situated. The buying process was easy and smooth. When the car was purchased i was waiting for a final cleaning and check of the car. This took forever. When i finally got the car. The inside of the windows were still dirty you can see the finger prints and the rear emblem had some chemical in it that oxidized the emblem. It took them a long time to seem like nothing had been done properly. I did appreciate the person helloing me to keep checking on me and letting me know the status instead of leaving me. The clean process and check process of the car needs to be better managed. It shouldn’t take that long for a half xxx job.
