2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid review
Bought in Dec 2024 with a great deal. We needed a new car to support 3 car seats. The two choices in the category are mainly between the Sienna and the Carnival. Why we chose the Carnival: Availability: You had to pre-order a Sienna or wait 6-9 months to get one. Pricing: The Sienna was on average $10k higher with comparable features and no ability to negotiate down the pricing. Driving: The Carnival is quite speedy off the line given it is a hybrid. We live in a very hilly area (Colorado). The Sienna really struggled and was very loud going up normal hills. Looks: The Carnival looks like an SUV (Chevy Traverse). The Sienna looks like your typical minivan. The Pearl white color is especially beautiful up close. Tech: Large entertainment screen makes reading text / maps very easy. Rear seat camera is nice to see what the kids are doing. Wireless charger, bluetooth CarPlay work great. Expanded rear view camera. Things we wish the Carnival had: AWD: The Sienna is available with AWD (although no models on the lot had it). Instead of AWD we spent $1700 on snow tires, which typically perform better than AWD and all-seasons tires. Auto-dimming mirror / Homelink in the EX trim. I purchased an OEM and installed it myself for ~$275. The dealer price was around $800. Sure wish a $40k car came with an auto dimming mirror when it comes with a rear seat camera! Concerns: Kia has that nice 10 year warranty, but I'm not sure how well the interior will hold up to 3 kids under 5. The Kia connect app also did not work upon purchase and it requires a factory reset at the dealer Overall: Happy with our purchase. It looks like an SUV but has the space and maneuverability of a minivan. It's fast off the line for a car that gets 36 MPG. It's got the tech of more expensive car. Given Toyota's significant number of recalls, I wouldn't default to Toyota as being the safer / nicer option. I don't think it is worth the extra $.

2023 Honda Odyssey review
This is my second Honda Odyssey Elite having traded in my 2019 for a 2023. Why did I make the trade? I hadn't had any problems with my 2019, but the trade in value of my 2019 made the purchase of a 2023 a "no brainer". I had considered purchasing a Toyota Sienna Platinum because of the fuel economy. But the price of the Toyota was so much higher than the Honda, especially when you consider that the Rear Seat Entertainment System costs extra on the Toyota and dealers are adding premiums above MSRP. I calculated I would have to drive the a Toyota around 80,000 miles before I would actually begin saving money on gasoline.

2020 Chrysler Pacifica review
Been reading some of the reviews about people who have trouble with their Pacifica. I bought a touring L plus 31/2 years ago and it’s been one of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Had one small problem with the sliding doors, showing me that I should wash sensor under car. Learned that all you have to do is pull a fuse under the hood and the signal on the dash goes away. Haven’t had that problem for over 30,000 miles. Runs great drives great and is comfortable. I don’t know what more I could ask. Most of the time 29 miles to the gallon on the highway or more. It is true that stop start won’t work if the batteries are bad or low I just replaced my batteries and now everything is fine again.

He did say, however, that it might be a few days before SERVICE could and that the parts may be hard to get. I told him to do the best he could. I was totally surprised 2 days later that Tim called me and told me that the repairs had been completed. The salesman I interacted with throughout the process, Stan, was awesome and worked hard to find the vehicle I wanted. I had a jeep wrangler 4door and wanted a 2 door. We got the deal done and while driving home I had some buyers remorse not because the car wasn’t what they said it was but because I was just a bit attached to the 4 door and didn’t know it. After being approved for financing, signing the papers and nearly getting home with the jeep, I turned around and went back telling them that I wanted my jeep back. The management there was super understanding and quickly accommodated me when they didn’t have to. I was very grateful for that. One negative thing I would say is that my trade in was worth more than the vehicle I was getting from them. When I arrived I was wanting some money to boot from them or at the very least trade them straight up but instead they came to me with a 6k balance that they eventually worked down to just below 3k. They talked me into financing 3k. I told Mike (the finance guy) I would likely be turned down because I pay cash for everything and he said my approval was guaranteed because “I had equity” which is directly telling me that my car was worth more than the one I was getting and yet there I was being talked into financing a balance. They coulda traded me straight up and still made money. I likely wouldn’t have brought their jeep back if they woulda done that. I don’t understand why they would force me to finance to get the car that’s worth less than mine. There was plenty of meat on the bone.

2022 Honda Odyssey review
The Honda Odyssey has held up well over the first 3 years I've owned it. It's quiet and comfortable with a good sound system. It can take corners almost as well as my high end sports cars. And, in V6 mode (not economy) it accelerates well. The only complaint is its accident avoidance system that slams on the brakes unnecessarily. If a car is a little too close behind, you may be rear ended. I liked the car so much, I bought a 2025 Honda Odyssey, too.

2025 Kia Carnival review
I traded a 2021 Telluride for the Carnival because it was more practical and versatile for transporting young children. Although they had the same trim levels, the quality of interior materials - seats, door panels, etc. - in the Telluride were superior to the Carnival. The "ride," handling and comfort of the Telluride also far exceeded that of the Carnival. I miss the Telluride but appreciate the functionally of the Carnival.

2010 Honda Odyssey review
I love my Odyssey! It is so comfortable, the seat is larger than any of the new cars, it comes out to the back of my knees, and I am 5'6", i know that's a strange thing to like, but its important to me. I also like how versatile it is with the e3rd row seats folding into the floor, or makes the well deep enough for storage! Half or the whole way across! Best car I have ever owned!

2011 Ford E350 Super Duty review
Most dependable and reliable vehicle that I have ever owned. Plenty of power and then some, this is my third E series van with the Quigley 4x4 conversion. I wish Ford still made the E series van, they only make the cutaway version now.

2012 Honda Odyssey review
This car is wider than other minivans, providing more space and legroom for the kids. It drives ultra smooth and is super comfortable. Only complaint is that there is only 1 built in USB port and is located in the glove compartment.
