2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
I've had my 2019 Bolt Premier for a month now and it's really a clever little vehicle. Nimble and fun to drive with lots of room (can fit two mt bikes in the back). Coming from a VW GTI I expected the Bolt to be a substantial step down, but it's not. Granted the GTI is leagues ahead in both interior and exterior build quality, but the Bolt is no slouch in terms of what a fun-sized EV hatch should be. With a low center of gravity, loads of "O" torque and a decent suspension, the Bolt doesn't embarrass itself while performing it's appointed tasks around town. Sure, the steering could benefit from taking a communications class and the brakes are less than linier but the single pedal driving dynamic is outstanding (I could seriously go on for a while regarding how intuitive the one pedal regen system is on the Bolt, kudos to GM for their work on this feature). The rest of the gripes about the Bolt (plastic interior, uncomfortable front seats, low res screens, odd styling) I think miss the mark regarding the sum of it's parts. At the end of the day, does the Bolt deliver a satisfying experience and leave you with a smile? Absolutely!

2020 Volvo V60 Cross Country review
I have now driven the Volvo V60 CC for three weeks and I'm very happy with my purchase. It is very comfortable and has a number of safety features. The gas mileage is exactly as advertised, 25 mpg of mixed driving.

2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
Review: Living With 3 Chevy Bolt EVs for past 6 years Owning three Chevy Bolt EVs has been one of the smartest financial and practical decisions we’ve made. Each year, we’re saving $6,000–$7,000 combined on fuel and maintenance compared to when we drove gasoline cars. We get about 250-300 miles of range depending on heat and AC use. We bought them used around $20k each, had batteries replaced in 2020 so 100,000 mile warranty, can't beat it! Charging at Home Is Simple, either use 110v and charge overnight or upgrade 220v dryer plug We picked up a Level 2 home charger for about $150 on Amazon. Installing and running it is as simple as hooking up clothes dryer. The charger just uses a standard 240V outlet, and the energy demand is nothing unusual for a typical household. Pulls same amount of power as microwave or toaster oven. Real Cost to Charge Let’s run the math: Electric rate: $0.10 per kWh Efficiency: ~4.5 miles per kWh Monthly driving: 2,000 miles each car That works out to: 2,000 miles at 4.5miles/kW at 10cents/kW= $44/month So for just $44 a month, each Bolt drives 2,000 miles. Compare that to a gas car at 30 MPG and $3.50/gallon: 2,000 miles at 30MPG= 66.7gals times $3.50 = $233/month That’s nearly $190/month in savings per car, just on fuel. Multiply that by 3 cars and a full year, and the numbers quickly add up. Maintenance Savings Beyond the fuel savings, the Bolt EVs don’t need oil changes, transmission services, or exhaust system repairs. Brake wear is minimal thanks to regenerative braking. For us, the maintenance costs dropped to little more than tire rotations (free at Discount Tire), washer fluid and cabin air filters. Final Thoughts Switching to the Chevy Bolt has been a financial win and a stress reliever. Charging at home is as easy as running a kitchen appliance, and the cost per mile is dramatically lower. With three Bolts in the household, the yearly savings of $6,000–$7,000 speak for themselves, that over $40,000 in savings!

I hate to parrot the other great reviews. But I will. We too hate all the issues in buying a new car. City Limits Subaru changed that after all our years of buying cars but dreading it. City Limits Subaru was the greatest. Car selection was fantastic. Even better was everyone at the dealership was above and beyond any other auto dealer. The staff was attentive, respectful, very efficient, knowledgeable and, no pressure at all. No pressure with the sale of the vehicle or the finance department. If I could I’d buy another vehicle from them tomorrow. Believe me when I say City Limits Subaru has no limits.
2016 Volvo V60 Cross Country review
Overall loved this car- owned a 2016 from fall 2018 until winter 2023. Handled great in all weather (including upstate NY winters with lake effect snow), had decent cargo space, towed my tiny camper (1100lb loaded) with no issues. Wish it had the higher (3500lb) tow capacity that the older wagons had- I ended up trading it in for a midsize truck because I'm getting a larger camper. My one MAJOR issue with the vehicle was that there was a design flaw in the piston rings that caused excessive oil consumption. Not all engines with the rings have issues, and Volvo found and corrected the issue in mid 2016 in the factory, but mine was from before then and at it's worst in fall '22 (@~83K miles) I was going through a quart of oil in 500 miles. Thankfully, Volvo covered the repair (I squeaked it in at the last minute of my CPO warranty, but Volvo customer service said that they typically cover it even without warranty), but if they hadn't it I would have ended up looking for a truck several months earlier because the repair would have been several thousand dollars... 2017 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen review
Purchased used S 5-speed manual with 33,000 miles on it about four years back. Just passed 100,000 miles last month. Only one problem so far, with the passenger door latch assembly. We get about 37 MPG mixed city and highway, and 45-50 MPG in interstate highway driving. FWD and snow tires work fine here in Wisconsin. The turbo motor and 5-speed provide all of the acceleration one will *actually* need, and also provide those great economy numbers. As part of the Golf platform, it's a solid car and the handling is good. The ride comfort is also good, maybe enhanced by the taller 16" tires on the S version. Simple controls, without an overly complicated radio / info system. Manual ventilation controls (knobs) are a huge plus. With the rear seats down, it has about the same cargo space as our 2009 Subaru Outback: little narrower but also a little longer. Good outward visibility. Driver seat can get a little tiring after a long drive (4 hours or more) but it's comparable with other highway vehicles we've owned. Reasonably quiet inside considering it's essentially an economy vehicle. A very nice economy vehicle, though. We like it enough that we're considering getting another one before there are no more good wagons in the market.

2009 MINI Cooper S review
I've not driven it yet, but we investigated everything from the variable valve system to the turbo charger and watched a video of a complete teardown of the engine. We were so impressed that even before finishing the purchase of the one we were already looking for another one. This engine is AMAZING!! Can't WAIT to drive it!! And with a 6 Speed manual? Phenomenal workers and owners. Bought a truck recently in tip top condition from these folks and was not disappointed. However, after driving the truck for 2 days, a freak disaster due to no fault of their own, happened, causing some of the electrical components in the truck to completely fry and catch on fire and render the truck un-startable. I called the owners of said shop and he gave me his personal number and told me to tow it to his shop immediately, regardless of the time, to have a look at it. I had bought the car as is and did not choose to get extended warranty but Mohamad and his colleagues went out of their way to provide a repair and replacement to the damaged components within the truck completely FREE of charge. Even though he technically did not have to go out his way and had all the right to charge me for the repairs, he stated, “You are my customer and I take care of my customers.” He proceeded to then get his colleagues to prioritize my truck even after they had already closed shop and were able to complete all necessary repairs within 3 hours after telling me it would be ready the next day because he heard that I was in urgent need of the truck for work purposes. I will surely be encouraging my friends and coworkers to consider shopping at this dealership for any future automobile purchases and you should to. These gentlemen are full of integrity and truly care for their fellow human beings. They made me feel as if I have been a friend of theirs for years and in need of urgent care. They are transparent in the way they conduct business and strive to be as fair as anyone could be when negotiating. If I ever decide to purchase another vehicle in the future, I will surely want to purchase it from Mohamed and his men. Absolutely amazing people and even better businessmen.
2008 Pontiac Vibe review
I bought my 2008 Vibe new in 2008 for $12,500 with a used trade down-payment. Now 154,000 miles later it still runs, looks, and rides like almost new. I bought a 2021 Jeep Wrangler that spends a lot of time sitting in the garage as the Vibe still gets most of my driving into the city workouts. Well worth the $45/mo addl. insurance policy. Not one single engine issue - ever. 32 mpg reliable - just can't be replaced.

2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser review
I bought my first (sadly dream car) after selling my c3500 for a 2004 pt cruiser last year. Now at first it was the cheapest quickest car I could buy in a flash due to growing family. However the little Chrysler that could grew on me. I bought it with just over 150k km and quickly got just under 200k km. Now I know many will judge; but this little car went almost 50k km without any work or any oil changes or maintainance. I should mentioned this cars from way up north Canada so she sees ALOT of road salt snow and mud. Also I should mention this car is my and my sons “hunting buggy” we have over sized off-road tires and 30% of the time it’s running mud and gravel roads/off-roading. Only recently have I had to change my power steering hose and have a wheel bearing, hub, alignment and a new set of tires thrown on it. That’s incredible for those of you that don’t know. Now she does have her quirks like the interior lights due to rke module and the power locks (same issue) but unlike most vehicles, just pull one fuse and problem fixed; you just don’t have power locks (boo-hoo) It’s also loud on the interior when you pull the seat from the back and haul cargo. But good luck turning your civic into a pickup truck with more issues. Long story short this has now been the second longest lasting and most reliable vehicle I’ve owned aside from aforementioned truck that I had 10k$ Custom builds into. Now she’s been running myself wife and three kids (yes this car fits three car seats and weekends worth of camping gear) for a little over a year without any issues other then I’ve caused.

2026 Volvo V60 Cross Country review
Very smooth, comfortable and quiet. Extremely roomy and quite attractive exterior. Added roof racks, still quiet. Gas mileage approaching mid-30’s on secondary highways. Acceleration is good, handling is firm. All wheel drive makes a big difference. Very happy with purchase, and highly recommend.

2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
I've only had my Bolt LT for about a month, but I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase. It's a 2019 with less than 25,000 miles on it. It set me back $18.5k, but between rebates from Edison and federal tax credits I'm only out $13.5k. On top of that, because of the battery recall, it's got a brand-new battery (the part of an ev that wears out.) The Bolt is an awesome vehicle. It's small on the outside but large on the inside. I'm over 6 feet tall and I've got plenty of head and leg room. Most importantly, there's room in the cargo area for my 80 lb. Mastiff mix. If she's happy, I'm happy. The car is quiet and fast (0-60 under 7 seconds!). Visibility looking out is fantastic. I love the low beltline and large windows. The A.C. blows really cool- a definite plus living in Southern California. I had read a number of consumer reviews that complained about seat comfort. For me, it's not an issue, the seats are fine. Likewise, a number of reviewers had issue with the stock stereo system. Again, for me, the stereo sounds great. Of course, because it's electric, I won't miss paying $5+ a gallon for gas or waiting in line to pay for an oil change ever again.

2019 Buick Regal TourX review
I have a 2018 TourX which I bought new on the early months of 2019. At the date of this review, I have put only 20,000 miles on this car. I am not a connoisseur of high end cars, but I do know when a car is fun to drive, sporty and practical. I am getting the best bang for my bucks with this car. With limited production and stunted promotion from Buick I rarely see any on roads. It's a shame.

2015 Kia Soul review
Our 2015 2.4L Soul has been great. My wife works a split shift, so she commutes to and from work Twice a day. So it gets a lot of highway miles. We also have gone cross country a few times. Always serviced at the dealer (which is more expensive), But it kept the warranty alive. Engine needed replaced at 95K due to oil consumption, but warranty covered it. Now at 220K AC compressor died. But that is the 1st repair we have had to do. Everything else is holding up fine.

2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class review
I mistakenly sold my 2012 E350 in 2023 thinking I should upgrade to an SUV. I regretted selling the wagon, though the 2020 MB GLB was a very nice vehicle. So I found a 2011 E350 wagon and couldn't been happier. Maintenance is key, yes. But the leather (not MBTex) wears very well, and the exterior is flawless.
