2015 Subaru Outback review
I bought used in 2023 a 2015 premium with 214k miles. I drove it 6k miles and only replaced the CV axle, this isn't impressive sounding but it was going through constant , aggressive off reading due to the rough road conditions I had to use because I live in the rocky mountains. I got in a rollover a 60 mph and I had no injuries, airbags kept me safe. Fuel economy was dismal with 21 in the city and 24 in the highway, safety and reliability are top tier, power was surprisingly adequate, the Bluetooth was appreciated and all the safety tech and other tech was very useable and helpful and accurate. Love the car would buy it again if I had the chance

2018 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
The Bolt is the perfect car for commuting and errands around town, particularly if you can charge at home. It is small on the outside but spacious on the inside (at least in the front seats). It is surprisingly peppy - you can easily get the tires to chirp in accelerating. On the downside, not all Bolts have DC fast charging, which would make it impractical for road trips and if you don't have home charging. Check charge port for the orange cap - that means it has DC charging. The Bolts with DC charging only charge at 55 kw, slower than most. Road trips are possible, but it will take an hour to charge every 250 miles. Overall, the Bolt is fun to drive, practical, and great value for money.

2017 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen review
Purchased used S 5-speed manual with 33,000 miles on it about four years back. Just passed 100,000 miles last month. Only one problem so far, with the passenger door latch assembly. We get about 37 MPG mixed city and highway, and 45-50 MPG in interstate highway driving. FWD and snow tires work fine here in Wisconsin. The turbo motor and 5-speed provide all of the acceleration one will *actually* need, and also provide those great economy numbers. As part of the Golf platform, it's a solid car and the handling is good. The ride comfort is also good, maybe enhanced by the taller 16" tires on the S version. Simple controls, without an overly complicated radio / info system. Manual ventilation controls (knobs) are a huge plus. With the rear seats down, it has about the same cargo space as our 2009 Subaru Outback: little narrower but also a little longer. Good outward visibility. Driver seat can get a little tiring after a long drive (4 hours or more) but it's comparable with other highway vehicles we've owned. Reasonably quiet inside considering it's essentially an economy vehicle. A very nice economy vehicle, though. We like it enough that we're considering getting another one before there are no more good wagons in the market.

2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
Purchased a used 2023 Chevy Bolt EV a couple months ago, and so far have been very happy with it. I will talk about what I think are cons first. Not happy with the lack of safety features that most vehicles have as standard features. No BSM, no yellow warnings of vehicles in blind spots or warning sounds. No back up warnings. Visibility is taking time to get use to. Mirrors are too small. Visors are too small to block sunlight. Interior is cheap, storage spaces a lacking, glove box dumps stuff out when you open it. Pros:. The selling point of the vehicle is the savings in fuel economy. It is a relatively small SUV electric vehicle, with a good battery that will take you 250 miles on a full charge. I have been averaging 4.4 miles/kw. My electric rate is 10.6 cents a kw. It only costs me $6 to drive that 250 miles. That's about the price for a gallon of gasoline in some places around here. Car is fast and can pass another vehicle very quickly. Ride is comfortable and smooth. One peddle works great and I get better numbers around town. I'm estimating this little EV will save me about $2500 a year and fuel costs. I have a charger installed in my garage. The key to taking advantage of the savings of any EV is to charge at home. Charge overnight. Love this little car.

I was interested in a Nissan NV 2500. Viewing several of these vehicles on cars.com and other sites. I decided to make the trip to Trust Auto in Maryland from West Virginia. About a 4 1/2 hour trip. I had talked to David on the phone to make sure the Nissan was still available and explained when I could be there to look over the vehicle. We made the trip in good time only running into one delay. Upon meeting David he brought the vehicle up to the front of the dealership and told us to inspect it, which is what we did. I had two top mechanic with me. While we knew the vehicle had been in an accident, the repair work was very well done on found a few bolts missing. One in the valance and the other from the inner fender. This could have been from the accident or just from being a service vehicle. A little over 94,000 miles on it. The detail shop did a great job on their work. Very chean for sure. After running the computer test, we took the Nissan NV for a test drive. It did not disappoint. Extremely happy with everything we saw and felt during the test drive. Steering was solid and tracked well. No pull to either side while driving. Throttle response was perfect as well as the braking system. The comfort of the Nissan NV was Avery pleasant surprise. The ride was almost as good as my Lincoln MKZ, almost.😎 Much like a 2006 GMC dually I had in 2007. Very nice. When returning to the dealership myself and the two mechanics talked things over and decided to go to the next step. After a little negotiation we settled on a fair price and made the purchase. David was very kind to us and I feel like we got a great deal. We finished the paperwork and was ready to leave but we were blocked in by another vehicle. I backed back into the parking spot when one of the ladies that worked there said she would move the vehicle so we could be on our way. She came back within a few minutes moved the vehicle and with a big beautiful smile waved goodbye to us as we left. That truly made my day😇. Trust Auto in my opinion is a great dealership and when I need another vehicle, they will be the first ones I will go to. Bea is courteous, personable, and answered all our questions (or checked with other DarCars staff for us). She responded quickly to emails and made our experience pleasant. This is my first all-electric car. Bea and her colleague, Manny, showed me all the car's features and spent time helping me understand the electronics. From start to finish, it was a pleasant and positive experience.
2020 Volvo V60 Cross Country review
I have now driven the Volvo V60 CC for three weeks and I'm very happy with my purchase. It is very comfortable and has a number of safety features. The gas mileage is exactly as advertised, 25 mpg of mixed driving.
