This is the second time I have bought from By-Pass Motors and will go back if I ever get another car. They have a good selection and I especially like... that there is no pressure and no haggling.
Was not expecting to buy a truck when I did, but they had one I liked and the price was very reasonable. Overall it was the most simplistic and easy buying... experience I have ever had thus far. I would buy from By-Pass again without hesitation.
As always, very pleased with my purchase! Great group to work with. Thanks guys!
I was looking for a small SUV with a manual transmission. By-pass had a 2012 Jeep Patriot that fit the bill. I test drove the Jeep and liked it, but... By-pass wouldn't budge on the price. To be fair, it was priced right, I just wanted a lower price! I waited nearly a month and the price finally came down. I then called and applied for credit over the phone (I live over an hour from the dealership). I told By-Pass what payment terms I was looking for and they came through. Nearly everything was done over the phone. I drove down and signed all the paperwork and drove off in under an hour. All the staff I dealt with (and it's a small staff) were kind and helpful. I will say, however, that the gentleman who handled the finance end of things was, unlike everyone else, your typical dealership employee...pushing extended warranties and GAP insurance, etc. He didn't just ask if I'd like any of the extras, he pushed them. I don't like pushy. When I turned the GAP coverage down the second time, he said that since it was the end of the month he'd REALLY like to get one more sale in...and then when I turned it down the third time he said something to the effect of, "You're killing me...." I didn't want (and didn't need) GAP. I didn't mind saying no over and over...but another customer who wasn't so determined would have caved under the pushing. In any case, aside from the finance person, I had a great experience with By-Pass motors and will definitely look there again when it's time to get another car. Do your research, decide what you want and what you're willing to pay, set boundaries for yourself, and don't let anyone (finance managers included) pressure you into anything you don't want or are not prepared for. By-Pass Motors has a good selection of vehicles and competative prices and will put their best effort behind helping customers get what they want. Just don't expect them to budge on what are usually already pretty good prices.
Super friendly and down to earth. No pressure dealership. Made the buying process easy and stress-free. Small dealership, but has a great selection of... vehicles. Would definitely shop with them again!
I called this dealership asking about the orange 2016 Hyundai Veloster. I fell in love the moment I saw it. I live an hour away and drove out there to... test drive. My salesperson, Paula, was very nice and understanding of my slight fear of driving. I had been in a car accident a few months prior that broke my leg. The car drove great, looked great, was a very fair price and my heart was set. I had been preapproved for a loan already but that company wouldn't work with By-Pass because they arent a franchise. Well, that bank is missing out. They were able to get me a GREAT loan and the whole process was pretty speedy. Everyone was great and would definitely purchase from them again. Theyre a smaller lot with a lot of options.
Great selection of low mileage late models. I like the no haggle pricing. From my own research I found their pricing very hard to beat.
Family atmosphere friendly people with good quality used vehicles a lot of vehicles to choose from seem to have something for everyone and seem to be priced... right
Bought another car from them last week. It was such an easy stress free process. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. They'll be the first dealership... we check out when my husband gets a new car in two years.
I drove 200 miles one way to purchase a 2013 Tacoma from these guys based on their stated and advertised description of it which was a clean "Local KY... trade in". Upon arriving home and washing the vehicle I noticed several areas including the hitch, exposed portion of the exhaust pipe, and the exposed portions of the rear suspension that had been freshly sprayed with low gloss black spray paint that didn't stand out on the lot. Curious as to why they would do this I found on closer examination that it was to mask an emerging rust issue. Placing the vehicle on a chassis lift I found the exposed bolts that they didn't paint were completely rusted as well as the spot welds on the frame, both differentials, drive shafts, and suspension were covered in rust. All of the spot welds on the frame as well as the body plugs were already rusting as well with perforations around the body plugs already forming. According to Carfax the vehicle was leased brand new in New Jersey where it remained until Bypass motors purchased it at auction in late 2016. One of the employees at Bypass bought the vehicle, drove it for three months, then subsequently returned it. I called to inform the manager that the vehicle was not as described and not accurately advertised and that I'd like to return it. He contested that since his employee had registered it in KY four months prior to my purchase of it, that it was justifiable to label it a local trade in. He then offered to pay half to have the chassis undercoated. Knowing that would do nothing to alleviate the rust that was taking hold elsewhere on the body and that rust was always going to be an issue with this vehicle, I declined his offer and countered by offering to pay their $400 "processing fee" in order to return the vehicle all the way back to KY. Seeing as how I put down one third of the purchase price in cash, he refused and would only offer to "buy" the vehicle back for $2000 less than I had paid for it less than 24 hours prior. Easily the worst experience I've ever had purchasing anything. If Bypass responds they will contend that I'm "overreacting" to the rust issue. Ask yourself what kind of business would attempt to dictate what constitutes an overreaction in reference to a customers satisfaction instead of making things right.
