One star rating is being way too kind to them. From seeing a used car for sale on their website, we drove from Michigan to take a look at it. Their website states "Each model for sale in our pre-owned inventory has been thoroughly vetted by the expert technicians in our Ford service center". Doug, the salesperson said to take it for a drive. So we did. The brakes were very bad, never grabbed and we rolled to a stop. So much for their cars being "thoroughly vetted by the expert technicians". When we told Doug about that, he said that they'd fix them, at their cost, and let us know when it was ready. We made arrangements to drive back to pick it up when it was fixed. But they never called back. Oh, and when we took the car for a test drive, the fuel gauge was under "empty" so we couldn't even really drive it. After not hearing back from them about when the car would be ready, I called and told the receptionist what I was calling about. She said that everyone was out to lunch and to call back. When I did call back, she said that she didn't think that anyone was there to talk with me, but that she'd check. Before she muted herself I heard her say to someone "Are you ..". Sounds like she'd been told not to connect the call. Jeff, another salesperson, did finally pick up and said that he knew nothing about it, even though Doug had taken my name and number, and said that he'd fill in the other salesperson, Jeff, when he returned back yesterday. Jeff said that he'd look into it and call me back. Jeff called back and I had a nice conversation with him, but he said that the car had been sold. Again, a one-star rating is way too kind for this complete lack of customer service.

This place is something else
A most unique dealership to say the least! Don't leave a message for the M.I.A. salesman (there is only one) by email, through a car for sale website, in person or by phone because you'll never receive a call back! We have been in the dealership at least a dozen times over the last 25 years and it never changes. We tried buying my wife's new car here back in 2017. Drove in and some young lady came out and met us, told her we wanted to test a Focus and she pointed at a couple and said take one of those. When we returned she took our name and said the real salesman would call us and all this while still in the parking lot. Well after no call we ended up going to a different Ford dealership, purchased and drove the new car the same day. Almost 5 weeks to the day some woman called from Port Clinton Ford and wanted to know if we were still looking for a car............WOW! I did have a good experience with the parts manager once so I guess it isn't all bad. Last but not least don't try to negotiate a single dollar because the reply I got on a couple occasions was I would rather wholesale it than come off the price listed............WOW! Never dealt with a business with such a "DON'T GIVE A xxxx ATTITUDE"

Promised to sell to me and sold to someone else
I talked to the salesman about a used car and identified 2 things that needed fixed. Salesman said they would make the repairs and contact me. I said I was surprised that I didn't have to put some "up front" money down to hold the vehicle. He said that wouldn't be necessary - that he would call me first. I went to the dealership twice inquiring about the repair status. Both times I was told that they were still working on the repairs. I got a phone call today from the salesman saying that they sold it to someone else. BUYER BEWARE of PORT CLINTON FORD.

Awful service, and unprofessional.
Awful service department. Went in today for some power steering service, and was told that it would be two days minimum for parts. Don't know why that is, considering my local Ford dealer can easily get parts the same day, no reason why they couldn't here. They also wanted us to order and pay for parts that they were not sure we would need, and these extra parts would cost a lot, even though they weren't sure we needed them. Needless to say we did not get any work done here. They also drained out all my power steering fluid, and didn't replace any of it. Thanks for costing me even more money now and not even returning the car to me in the same condition I brought it to you in. Stay away from here!

poor customer service and lack of ownership/responsibility
Purchased a new Ford Focus which I brought back within days of purchase due to transmission concerns as is typical int he Focus (2012 through 2016). Something I didn't learn about until after purchase. To be honest, we have dealt with this dealership for years and was very disappointed that they would not have given us a heads up on such an issue to begin with. However problems were identified...the response from PC Ford was that they couldn't do anything about it....it was up to corporate Ford. They told me to learn how to drive differently. it was just something I needed to get used to. When I asked for my trade in back they said not possible. when I asked to trade it in on something else I was told that the new car that I had just purchased had a $0.0 trade in value. The rating system on this site requires at least one star....I would actually give even less if possible. Obviously this dealership feels they owe their customers nothing...and take no responsibility for their poor service....
