Porsche
Though best known for the iconic 911 sports car, today’s most popular Porsches aren’t cars at all: The Macan compact and Cayenne mid-size SUVs have long been its bestsellers. Both have styling similar to the 911 but with the raised ride height, cargo space and all-weather capability of an SUV.
Porsche has also brought its brand character to electric vehicles. The Taycan sedan launched for 2020 and gained a Cross Turismo wagon variant for 2021. An electric Macan launched for 2024 and is slated to be joined by a Cayenne EV for 2026. Porsche continues to produce gas-engine versions of both the Macan and Cayenne along with the gas-engine Panamera four-door liftback sedan.
On the traditional side, the rear-engine 911 is available in coupe, convertible and Targa body styles; it remains exclusively gas-powered with potency levels that range from everyday performance to track-ready supercar. Redesigned versions of the mid-engine 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman are reportedly also in the works.
