V4 to small for this vehicle

All good except too small of an engine for the size and weight of the minivan the v6 engine in my older minivan a better match for this size of automobile.

2.0

Wish we had never bought it.

I wanted a Sienna for so long. I habitually checked the websites to find one in stock. FInally, one was found, and we hopped on it. Much to my dismay, I am underwhelmed. The comfort is top notch, and that's about where it ends. 36 mpg? WHAT A JOKE. We get 28-30. And do mostly in town driving. While traveling and missing...

2023 Toyota Sienna review: Our expert's take

What Is the 2023 Toyota Sienna?

The 2023 Toyota Sienna is a value-conscious, practically minded minivan with seating for up to eight. Standard on every Sienna is a 245-horsepower gas-electric hybrid drivetrain that’s available with front- or all-wheel drive. Competitors to the Sienna include the Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Odyssey and Kia Carnival

According to Cars.com’s cargo measurements, the Sienna offers 44.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind its second row and 21.7 cubic feet behind its third row. Because babies and kids are frequent minivan passengers, you can check how the Sienna fared in our Car Seat Check here.

What’s New on the 2023 Toyota Sienna?

Completely redesigned for the 2021 model year, the Sienna is mostly unchanged for 2023, though Toyota has added a limited-edition 25th Anniversary Edition trim. It includes a range of comfort and convenience features, including puddle lights, navigation, roof rails, heated and ventilated front seats, second-row seats with built-in ottomans, and a JBL audio system. Riding on a unique set of 20-inch split-five-spoke alloy wheels, the 25th Anniversary Edition also sports black exterior badging and either Wind Chill Pearl or Celestial Silver paint.

What Features in the 2023 Toyota Sienna Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • Power-sliding side doors
  • Tri-zone automatic climate control
  • 9-inch touchscreen multimedia system
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity
  • Satellite radio
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Lane departure warning with steering assist
  • Blind spot warning
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Automatic high-beam headlights

Available features include:

  • Hands-free power liftgate
  • Power moonroof
  • Four-zone climate control
  • Leather seating
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Rearview camera mirror
  • Head-up display
  • Wireless device charging
  • Rear-seat entertainment system

Should I Buy the 2023 Toyota Sienna?

The Sienna makes a strong case for itself against both rival minivans and the hordes of family-friendly SUVs out there. Its hybrid powertrain delivers impressive fuel economy, and the Sienna’s driving dynamics are as relaxed and comfortable on long road trips as they are for around-town errands. Getting to the third row requires some contorting, however, and cargo space takes a hit because the second-row seats cannot be removed or fully stored away.
