One stop car shopping.
November 6, 2018
It is important to know that my wife and I shop very infrequently for vehicles, since we tend to chose carefully, maintain regularly, and keep or vehicles until they just don't meet our needs any more. Our last purchase was in 2005, and that pickup, as well as the other two cars we own, are still running strong. However, the 1997 Saturn just wasn't as comfortable as when we bought it 21 years ago, so off we went to "window shop," in preparation for the next purchase. Other errands, as well as fate, had us making our "first stop" at Grand Junction Volkswagen, where Duane Blair greeted us warmly. Our first impression was that Duane listened to what we told him we were looking for, rather than telling us what he thought we needed. (Good start). We didn't have any specific make or model in mind, and we were willing to consider either new or late model used. The size and inventory of this dealership made comparisons of many makes and models easy, and we were able to rule out many possible choices without having to visit the dealerships of those brands. Before we knew it, we had narrowed down to a few choices that fit our needs and preferences, and then THE ONE. After years of wondering what our next vehicle purchase would be, the process was completed, without pressure, and in one short day. Our sincere thanks to Duane Blair, who has totally redefined our concept of what an auto salesman should be. Concluding the transaction, Adam Reynolds in finance was thorough and patient in explaining all of our options in both financing, as well as optional service contracts and accessories. Grand Junction Volkswagen has definitely earned our respect, as well as our business. We recommend that prospective car buyers start here, and they may not need to go anywhere else.
