The S58 engine is an absolute animal — smooth when you want it to be, but brutally fast the moment you put your foot down. It still blows my mind that something this practical can pull this hard. The handling is what really sets it apart. For an SUV, it feels planted and confidence-inspiring, especially in Sport Plus. Steering is sharp, body roll is minimal, and it genuinely feels closer to an M3 than an X3. Interior quality is exactly what you’d expect from BMW — comfortable, solid, and well thought out for daily driving. Maintenance-wise, staying on top of service is key with these cars, especially with how hard they’re meant to be driven. I’ve learned a lot about the platform and common service items just from owning it, and having a knowledgeable BMW specialist makes a big difference. I've had my X3M40i for 1 year and love it. Absolutely no problems at all. Just had my 1 year oil change and the oil was still clean. I highly recommend this vehicle !

I love my 2020 x3m. I will own this until the wheels fall off and replace it with another x3m. The gas mileage at 19.5 miles a gallon is the only bummer but it’s well worth it.

The car performs well on the highway and has significant acceleration for Interstate driving. Ample room for vacation trips to take luggage and golf clubs.

I’ve owned a 2020 x3m competition since the month they were released. First let me knock out rough ride thing. If you ride on the stock Conti summer tires all the time, yes it can be rough. I switched to to Michelin all weather after 11,000 miles and it made a huge difference! A much better more comfortable ride Side note: when I would swap Conti to winter tires also a huge difference! The stock summer tires that come on the car are incredible for handling on a track which the car was made for but, the car feels much better with Michelin all sports all seasons. This car makes me happy every time I drive it ! So much fun to drive!

Plenty of space. Smooth when driving on the road with pot holes etc. The panorama roof is very nice to have as it opens up the inside of the car and let’s so much better light in. Creates more space.

Had X4M40I previously, which was a great vehicle, but this new X3M Competition has more interior space, better styling, and lightning performance. Wife and I have always enjoyed performance vehicles and this X3 delivers the fun.

Absolutely love this SUV. Had a M340i and it was quick, but this X3 M Competition is wicked. Love the quickness and the firm ride. Glad I made the switch. Lots of talk about the firmness and the rigid handling, but try one and see for yourself.

Yes, it’s crazy powerful but you can definitely tame it to be a fully enjoyable ride for everyday use. I look forward to many years with my new X3M!
