In October of 2017, I purchased a very mint condition Audi A4 at a very reasonable price. The interior was flawless and the leather seats were pristine. The body was very close to pristine. I decided to pay outright in cash and forego having to finance. The price was reasonable and I was given what they advertised on the website Car Gurus. Juan was great. He was no pressure, polite, personable and knowledgeable. He helped me through transferring my car insurance and getting me set up with DMV. Juan explained that he had personally helped service the car, and the vehicle had a water pump and timing belt change. I drove the car off the lot that day.
A few days later I noticed that my oil level was depleting and I called Juan who asked me to add a QT of oil because the car recently had an oil change and the mechanic might have missed a Qt of oil. The issue continued to occur. Juan was very accommodating and went out of his way trying to figure out what the oil burn issue was. He cleaned the latch sensor, he had a mechanic complete another oil change and changed sensors. Finally he replaced the fuel pump. Nothing worked. After several trips back and forth (on several I left the car for several days while they worked on it), I spoke with Rick who is the manager.
Rick was very professional. I explained to Rick that I had done some research and noted that my particular make and model was notorious for having piston ring and piston head issues. We spoke through several options and he agreed to service the engine. Several days after the year I left my car with Rick and they began to work on it. After 4 weeks they expressed that they had changed the piston heads and had to make adjustments to the engine head. They resealed the engine and after 4 weeks I picked up the car. We had a brief snafu with engine coils being loose which they fixed overnight.
Overall buying a car, having to deal with the issues, and then finally the month long wait for repairs -was not fun. I can agree that Rick and Juan sold me the car without being able to predict any of this would happen. I give them both credit, they dealt with the situation as promised and completed the necessary repairs. It?s hard to trust used car sales men because of the stigma, but both Juan and Rick are legitimate upright businessmen. The lot is not a slum trap and they do conduct good business.
My take away is that you should expect to have issues when purchasing used cars, but also expect that both Juan and Rick will remedy situations that arise.
I?ve been driving the car 1 ? months since repairs were done and its running very well. I have to change a single engine mount and a door lock actuator. All else is great. I have a nice car at a relatively low price from a decent car lot. I do recommend them and would buy with them again if I chose to buy used non- certified cars in the future

I love my Cadillac Escalade. Cars are made by humans so naturally they're not perfect. We've been driving it for 7 years with no major problems. My goal is to keep it and get another one soon.
